Does Dump have any clue how pathetic and desperate he sounds? Probably not.

SFGal's avatar

But nonethless dangerous!

My sentiments exactly!😡

THEIT HOME OFFICES SHOULD BE FLOODED WITH PROTESTS DURING SUMMER BREAK

opsan's avatar

Do you think any Rs are attending town halls during this recess?

Ed Garland's avatar

Negative. They'll be in hiding.

Becky Suchy's avatar

Hahahahahaha... For sure my reps won't be anywhere visible...

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

I am hoping instead Democrats will hold town halls at Republican sites. I have been emailing my Democratic reps to hold town halls across the state of NY with no response. No surprise with Schumer.

Ed Garland's avatar

They should be afraid to "go home."

May Lee's avatar

I understand Hell is pretty hot this summer, so they'll skip out to some nice vacation spot instead.

SFGal's avatar

Maybe check in with the Ted Cruz disaster emergency holiday escape travel agency.

Fraser's avatar

Probably see Ted behind the counter warming up for his next gig post-Texas rejection! Yes, Ted's last stunt on the way out will be to bid on the rights to the FEMA acronym exclusivity, sponsored by the Cancun tourism council! He really is that wacko!

Ed Garland's avatar

Well, since the public knows what they look life anywhere they go is liable to draw crowds of protest. The World may be too small for any one of them.

Fraser's avatar

Good point! Maybe like SF says, Ted will offer Cancun trips! Look for way too many sombreros on the beach and droopy, melting mustaches! Guliani probably jump in on that one-doubt he has a passport anymore!

Ed Garland's avatar

With Johnson shutting down Congress to avoid a vote on the Epstein files they have outdone themselves. Drump is riding a train that’s run out of track. Nothing he says or does is going to make this latest scandal go away.

EcstaticRationalist's avatar

Baby Donald Smallhands the Insane is full of bullshit, as are his supporters, but they are also playing a very dangerous game. They are perfectly capable of imprisoning political opponents and criminalizing dissent. Just because they are utterly stupid and incompetent doesn't mean they don't control all the levers of power in the US government and have no qualms about using them to protect and cement their treasonous regime.

KCM's avatar

You have a point, but there are more dissenters than supporters of this regime. The resistance needs to be relentless. We are not backing down. We are seeing cracks in the armor - Trump is up against the ropes, and the hits need to keep coming. Once he falls, the rest will follow like the house of cards the Republican party has become.

Fraser's avatar

Good point! Yes, once Trump falls, Vance will try and distance himself and that will do him in with MAGA and the domino effect will begin. Oh, and Bondi will forget to pay ICE, or some other absolutely mindless act!! Kari Lake will announce she should take over from Vance!!

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

We the People will never stand down.

SFGal's avatar

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us!

Fraser's avatar

Yes! A military decision or showdown is looming! The ICE folks will probably lead the way and have a shootout or try and arrest an entire neighbourhood etc.

Trump's Little Johnson: "They want to put speed bumps in the way of all the progress we're making." What progress? Did you mean the lowered costs of gas and groceries? Did you mean not canceling PBS and NPR? And canceling healthcare? Or are you talking about other progress? This admin is chock full of morons. 😡

Anne's avatar

Regime. Reich. But not "administration."

Lynn Horsky's avatar

Progress towards totalitarian genocide: dehumanizing anybody who isn't white, male, rich, healthy. Progress: allowing women to bleed to death from miscarriages or sepsis from carrying stillborn babies to term when they could be aborted, carrying diseased babies who die at birth, then holding them and watching them suffer till they die. Progress: torturing people in detention camps, chaining their hands, feeding them like animals. This is now The American Way.

Anne's avatar

It's truly abhorrent. Inhumane. Depraved. One day, Trials will come, the Hague will be very, very busy sifting thru all the evidence, deciding on charges, the pile grows every single day. Thank you for your righteous outage, Lynne.

Denise Hall's avatar

How about NOW instead of ' one day '??!! WTF--WTFFF are we waiting for??!! Just Do It Already!!!

Fraser's avatar

This is the Democratic message in a nutshell Lynn! The tariffed economy should do the rest!!

Pamela Van Sickle's avatar

You are so on point Lynn!!!

Denise Hall's avatar

This is what America is becoming in the face of the rest of the world!!

Danny Moore's avatar

Yeah I couldn’t believe it when he said progress! That was so funny.

Linda's avatar

Little Johnson is such a snake and there that little smirk on his face…Can’t wait till it’s wiped off his smug face…

Barb O's avatar

He is one of very few people I've seen in my life who make me want to punch his face until it's bruised beyond recognition. And I'm not violent.

KCM's avatar

He admitted they know Trump is culpable when it comes to Epstein. "They want to try to damage the president." If it's all a hoax, then what could be damaging?

SFGal's avatar

Especially since we were first informed such files and documents were non-existent.

verne's avatar

i think it's only appropriate that mike "i'll mind the porn sites" johnson and the bad spray tan man "who's done more for women" should be the speedbumps on the road to perdition. line up the convoy...

Fraser's avatar

Yup! Who would admit the porn thing and involve his teenage son?

Oaktown's avatar

Let's hear it for speed bumps.

Yam's avatar

Actively spreading disinformation while in government should be an impeachable offense, in my honest opinion

Ed Garland's avatar

The 25th Amendment is being ignored. The entire regime needs to be dissolved.

David W.'s avatar

Let’s focus on August 9th’s general strike which should not only call for No Work, No Internet, No Gas and No Groceries, but needs to target large corporations like banks, businesses that support Trump, as well as disrupt the comfy lifestyle of the rich, which means No Garbage Collection. I can think of many other ways to turn the tide if only I could bend the ear of those who are running the show.

David W.'s avatar

This strike cannot be for just one or two days but the building of a large storm that topples this terribly corrupt regime. We can do it, folks, if you spread the word and help generate the necessary turnout. Please tell your friends and colleagues to get off their asses and join the cause. It’s in their best interest!

sbchica's avatar

I had not heard that the general strike will be on August 9th. This needs to be shouted widely for everone to know.

David W.'s avatar

I wonder if Individual & others protest groups can print enough general strike posters to blanket communities everywhere? Here’s your invitation!

David W.'s avatar

I saw that post also and have no clue on what’s going to happen. But as a community organizer and leader who has been around the block and adept at these things, I’ve been quite critical of how the Resistance movement has been managed for the past 10 years. I wish that not so many egos were standing in the way of our getting things done in the right way.

Oaktown's avatar

I thought the general strike was not to be scheduled until they obtained a critical mass (3.5%) of committed strikers who signed "strike cards," after which the duration was to be determined. I think that's the best way to do it in order for it to truly have an impact.

David W.'s avatar

I was afraid of that and only found out about the strike after seeing it posted. I’m still waiting to know what organization(s) are doing this and how it’s going to work.

David W.'s avatar

CNN has been showing the documentary on Live Aid this past weekend, which I remember in the day, but haven’t watched the documentary. What sticks in my craw is that no one today seems to have the ability to duplicate the effort of these artists and promoters of yesteryear. And I’m asking myself “why not?” knowing how much of a difference it could make in countering Trump’s agenda.

David W.'s avatar

Oaktown,

Again, I appreciate your help. I remember signing up for this a few weeks ago but haven’t received any updates since. You may be right that they’re waiting for more people to sign. The wait is driving me nuts.

David W.'s avatar

While it would be difficult if not impossible to pull off, wouldn’t it be great if we could make a major impact on the attendance of the NFL and Major League Baseball player’s’ association by asking them to support a boycott. Many if not all of the owners support Trump.

Linda's avatar

This needs to be under wraps so that they are blindsided as to scare the s**t out of them…This could shake them down to where now the people have say…🤞🏻wishful thinking but really think it’s feasible as long as people want this….

David W.'s avatar

Linda -

In a perfect plan, you’re right. The advantage of ambushing the opposition is best. Unfortunately, I know of no other way to get the message out to people who are against fascism, other than to make it clear that we intend to fight fire with fire, as Gavin Newsom & Beto O’Rourke have said.

Fraser's avatar

Yes! Make CBS a blackout!!

David W.'s avatar

Note that there are more of us than them. The other thing that prevents us from pulling off a surprise is that I’m sure that we have several bots and moles who are in on our conversations and are pretending to be on our side. However, it’s not as bad as what I encountered on Facebook several years ago.

David W.'s avatar

Thanks so much! I’ll need to check this out in a few minutes when I have more time.

David W.'s avatar

I’m sorry to be so repetitive, folks. But again I have to say that no one is going to save us. Not an institution or politician, nor the Democratic Party. This is wartime now and I’m calling on everyone who supports our Constitutional rights to join together for a general strike.

(Still waiting to hear specifics) In the meantime, reach out and tell your friends & family, as well community leaders who probably don’t understand the nature of the situation or know how to organize.

Don’t put this off as we will likely never have another opportunity once the weather changes. Thanks

David W.'s avatar

I wonder if Indivisible & others protest groups can print enough general strike posters to blanket communities everywhere? Here’s your invitation!

Xplisset's avatar

I’m still stumped.

I spent over 20 years inside the system, and I genuinely can’t wrap my head around how we’re not seeing mass resignations after everything that’s come out. Congress went on vacation. The press cycle moved on. And I keep circling back to the same conclusion…maybe it’s not fear or spin. Maybe they just don’t care. Maybe shame doesn’t exist at this level anymore.

I broke it down here if you’re still trying to make sense of it all:

Ever seen Invasion of the Body Snatchers?? The only reasonable explanation.

Fraser's avatar

Oh, you iled it! Power brings arrogance and a feeling of invincibility! They really don't care because they all think they will land sofly! Self-deception, the Emperor with no clothes is the final step!

> Connor ‘Pinesap’, ... said ... America should become an autocracy and said it is important for the US to remain majority white: “Unfortunately I lost my job. I was cancelled for expressing heterosexual christian beliefs."

Buck up, Connor, there's always Russia: https://www.thebulwark.com/p/this-is-the-most-exquisite-leopard

Oaktown's avatar

Ben showed clips from that debate. Hasan wiped the floor with that smirking little fascist ignoramus's cocky and ignorant ideas. Thanks, Ron, for making my day to learn he lost his job. Cheers for his employer!!!

Jessica's avatar

The worst part is that these ppl are trying to change the “country” but not themselves.. If Connor wants to be a fascist, then be one! Move to Russia, North Korea, Cuba, take your pick. But don’t try to change this country which is not an autocracy, *yet*. And ppl like Connor have the AUDACITY to say to immigrants “stop trying to change the US! Go back to where you came from if you don’t like our laws!!!!” The hypocrisy is unfounded.

Be a shitty ass person in a country that is more aligned with your ideals. We think fascism is awful but people in North Korea may disagree. I don’t understand why these people don’t move to a country that they want these things. They try to change our country for the worst, but don’t reflect on the fact that they can move to a country that has everything that they claim to want….

He's gonna get away with it. Trump is gonna get away with it.

Just like when Judge Aileen Cannon dragged out that prosecution by Jack Smith and he got away with it ALL, STEALING government records and taking them to Mar a Lardo, he is gonna get away with the Epstein association as well. He's gonna buy off Ghislaine, he's gonna buy her off. Look at what her lawyers jsut said, "We are Grateful to President Trump...",

He's gonna get away with it. This makes me sick, literally turns my stomach.

👇🏼. 👇🏼. 👇🏼

… Maxwell's attorney David Oscar Markus to CNN: “I can confirm that we are in discussions with the govt and that Ghislaine will always testify truthfully. We are grateful to President Trump for his commitment to uncovering the truth in this case.”

Jude Johnson's avatar

She either cooperates or meets the same fate as her buddy Jeff. Not hard to see that one coming.

Catt woman's avatar

I hate to say it but I do think you are correct. It’s either she folds or she wakes up dead one morning. Either way that entire band of degenerates escapes the consequences of their behavior.

KCM's avatar

But what about Maureen Comey who prosecuted Maxwell? And what about the reported 1000 FBI agents who were ordered to comb through the Epstein files for mentions of Trump. I don't see them staying quiet if she goes silent or gets pardoned. The Epstein issue won't go quietly. MAGA wants answers.

WJB Motown's avatar

Using President Obama and MLK as deflection of attention............Satan must be so proud and happy with his most faithful Orange Taco Tits.........Justice will come when Donable Lector is frying in the eternal flames of hell and his young victims are in heaven forever protected.

Oaktown's avatar

I share your fears, but still have hope. Why? Because there are too many witnesses, far too much damning evidence, and his base still appears to realize it's a coverup. We must keep all of it up front on the news and media posts so that rather than fade in 30 days, it snowballs. If that pimp Maxwell does testify, the Dems better get busy digging up some surprise receipts for the hearing.

Michelle H's avatar

I have followed Trumps career long before he got into politics- back when he pretended to be a democrat for the deals he got through that affiliation. What’s more appalling now is the collusion, for lack of a better term, of supposedly moral GOP members of Congress playing along with this charade. So much for their moral rectitude.

Oaktown's avatar

Most of them have been bought off for years.

SFGal's avatar

Or possibly blackmailed?!?!

Did you read The Corruption of Lindsay Graham? By Will Saletan. Excellent analysis and it applies to the entire GQP who still haven’t quit MAGA

This administration is a cesspool of corruption. Mike Johnson is a weak quisling. I will financially support any Democrat who is not afraid to be as down and dirty as the GOP has been since the arrival of Trump on the scene. No more nice guys. How long will it take to remove Melania Trump’s name from even the popcorn machine at the Kennedy Center?

I keep thinking they'll put Melania in the Natural History Museum collection of First Lady wax figures in their Inaugural gowns and Melania will be in peek a boo lingerie

SFGal's avatar
