Fortunately, Hydrogen Peroxide degrades in strength rapidly, esp when added to such a gigantic amount of water. I read elsewhere that it's not enough to be hazardous to the ducks so often pictured, can't speak to other birds but at most they'd take only a sip or two.
And maybe eat a lot of the mosquitos that are undoubtedly breeding in the algae (also read that they like algae for breeding) when the mosquitos come out in early morning and late afternoon/early evening. Just read about Chimney Swifts which migrate north to the U.S. Atlantic coast and eat 1/3 of their body weight a day of flying insects!! We used bleach to try and get our pool clear one Spring when we opened it back up. We use hydrogen peroxide in the hospital to clean up blood. It foams on contact with blood. We never use it as a cleaner.
It can be use to remove biological stains, like sweat, which chlorine bleach doesn’t really get out. Highest percentage that can be bought and I think shipped through UPS/USPS is 35% food grade. Concentrations over about 50 are hazardous. 85 to 98 is used in rocket fuel.
