Yes! And as usual, the lessons of history totally escape the gleefully ignorant one. He is specifically trying to recreate the conditions of the Gilded era. He wants the oligarchy, the extreme wealth imbalance, and no income tax.

The jewish hate already existed here in Dearborn, MI (Henry Ford). Hitler admired him.

This is Hitler all over again. But now, the enemy to blame is brown immigrants.

totally agree. I grew up in Kansas in the '50s and it was there in the John Birch Society and other anti-semitism. This IS the nazi playbook! Not enough people have experienced it to understand this truth!

I agree, now it is a new class of scapegoats.

They love to hate, period. A real addiction. We have to disentangle from being their fix. I'm trying to figure that one out but it's clear to me it's addictive narcissistic behavior! Not to mention psychopathic ... the glee in making people suffer and rejoicing in their suffering.

It’s a bad situation when 17-year olds can’t vote because they’re too young but three-year olds can be president. (And I totes agree with Pam.)

Sometimes it’s the only way I can deal and not give in to despair. I was a conservative for years and have now been a liberal for decades, but I have never before encountered a politician so utterly lacking in both intellect and integrity as is Donald Trump. Not since George Wallace in the ‘60s have I thought about a politician that that person is/was just plain evil.

This drives me so crazy. The crimes took place before he became president and in fact to influence voters so that they did not become aware of his payoffs so what exactly can he be immune for?

Exactly! And when in history has a media organization been held responsible for a jury's verdict? How can they prove that MTN unduly influenced the jury? The counterargument would be Fox forever claiming he was innocent. This is a preposterous and frivolous filing.

I donated to the Ukraine government website yesterday. I went first to Ukraine Red Cross then found the government website. It has a picture of President Zelenskyy on the website. I donated then sent an email telling them how much I admire President Zelenskyy and that millions of Americans are behind them.

See criticism of the Red Cross online.

Much of the money they receive is spent on huge management fees and salaries and donations are often wasted and not given to individuals for whom it is intended. Also, they charge individuals in desperate situations for water bottles or other necessities, in spite of large donations. I have seen them in action in several countries. A sad spectacle.

"Did Zelensky learn from Trump that you should never bite the hands that feed you?" (Quora/Done With The Bullshit)......

"I think what he learned was that the USA is now only a “transactional ally”, which expects literal “payback” in the form of protection money or other assets, and that if that is refused it will threaten to walk away or even to change sides. So yes, in a way, he did learn that the Trump thinks that Zelensky should demonstrate gratitude and humility, rather than behaving as a head of state entitled to some respect, and basically do what he’s told, even if it isn’t in his national interests.

Expecting the USA to defend a principle - eg the sovereignty and territorial integrity of an ally - simply because it is a principle that is shared with that ally, is no longer a reliable predictor of its foreign policy. Taken together with the USA’s own threats to other allies - eg Panama, Canada, and Denmark - and the President’s stated admiration for Putin and Xi, it suggests a foreign policy based only on “might makes right”, and a desire to carve up the world into “spheres of interest” with Russia and China, very much like 19th century imperialists."

I think the punishment is his m.o. -- it's the Godfather/thuggery demand of 100% loyalty. This isn't about peace, it's about money. And if Zelenskyy is thwarting his goal of enriching himself & cronies through those minerals, he will punish anyone in his way. He was angry because Zelenskyy told the truth, so he had to be punished.

He has Norway now along with the increased aid from the EU and Britain. Since trump cut off intelligence from the USA to Ukraine, I am sure the UK will fill that void. Those countries will probably buy their arms from other countries and not the USA. That is more money that our economy will lose.

Awesome you have a good psychiatrist! I think the only people that aren't having a hard time with what is being done are the ones most in need of self-reflection & mental health help. Community helps me. The abuse we're seeing so clearly is a flashback nightmare for those with trauma disorders & greatly compounds all conditions I bet. We have been unjustly marginalized. There is strength in speaking truth to power. I'd rather have my challenges than be than clueless, raging narcissist & I think these people should be more careful how far they're pushing someone like me that isn't wrapped too tight, LOL. Hi Ben your work is vital. Trump will try everything to silence free speech. It looks to me as if trump will attempt to end future free elections with martial law. He is decapitating the military and state security systems He is certainly not behaving as if he cares about the support of the electorate. He probably hopes that protests will become violent.

God help America because the elected representatives cannot or will not.
