While I certainly have no sympathy for the man, 'deals' are made all the time by (most) every prosecutor for a reason. It greatly speeds up the process and resolution of the case. Look at how long Trump has already dragged out two of his cases (still have not gone to trial), and notice he was still walking around free. Our party is a big tent. We cannot devalue one side or another within the party and last night's results proved that. Winning for us depends on the area where the elections are held. Not every candidate was a progressive on everything but they did campaign on basic things that matter to all. And THAT is what got some Republican voters to vote for them.

Sherrill is no Becca Balint, Max Frost or Monica McIver (with 100% progressive scores across the board, it's clear why the Trump administration is targeting McIver), but she's right for her district and her state.

For the first time in a long time, I feel some hope that we can get through this terrible time by taking back the House and Senate and stopping Trump in his tracks. And seeing the American people pushing back is a wonderful sight to see. I have faith now that we can take congress back and his agenda will be done.
