About a month ago, I had a strange sore appear in the back of my throat on the left side which was mildly sore. It disappeared in a few days, then the exact same looking thing appeared on the right side. I had been having what I thought was a bad summer Cold virus, but a neighbor said he had something similar that turned out to be Covid. I'm in my late 70s and had a booster in April, but off I go to get tested. PCR was positive, so I waited a couple days and did a home rapid antigen which was positive meaning I was still contagious, but the sore in my throat and other cold symptoms had eased. So I waited another couple of days, did another home test and was negative. Looks like I may have dodged a bullet by being up to date. Have no desire to experience a razorblade throat!

The rallies are wonderful but not as effective as Strikes and Blackouts. All of these only work if people are willing to commit to making some sacrifices. Unfortunately, most Americans don't seem to give a damn. It's easy to tell which ones are committed to saving our democracy and which aren't by asking how many new seldom wore clothes/shoes are in their closets, how many beauty products are cluttering their bathrooms, how much money are they spending on unnecessary travel, entertainment and socializing (theaters, streaming services, bars, sport events, concerts, eating out). If we aren't willing to make these small temporary sacrifices now, we may soon have nothing left to fight for.

About a month ago, I had a strange sore appear in the back of my throat on the left side which was mildly sore. It disappeared in a few days, then the exact same looking thing appeared on the right side. I had been having what I thought was a bad summer Cold virus, but a neighbor said he had something similar that turned out to be Covid. I'm in my late 70s and had a booster in April, but off I go to get tested. PCR was positive, so I waited a couple days and did a home rapid antigen which was positive meaning I was still contagious, but the sore in my throat and other cold symptoms had eased. So I waited another couple of days, did another home test and was negative. Looks like I may have dodged a bullet by being up to date. Have no desire to experience a razorblade throat!
I hate that we are getting the vaccine for this razor blade Covid and who knows what the next version will bring. Good luck to us all especially the children that will be growing up without our vaccines.
