Inflation is so bad. 5 years ago our electric bill was only $40 a month, We had quite a cold spell so I used the portable radiator (I mean seniors do NOT want to be cold, right?), got the bill yesterday and it is $160! It has been creeping up and up over the last 5 years. From $40 a month it is now averaging $60-ish a month or a tad more. In only 5 years! At least Biden and the democrats kept increasing our social security check based on cost of living, but I bet now with MAGA they will freeze any increases going forward. I BET that is what they will do. I remember my mother saying during the Bush II years, for 4 years they did not get any social security checks increase.

Everything has gone UP! Inflation is so bad. 5 years ago our electric bill was only $40 a month, We had quite a cold spell so I used the portable radiator (I mean seniors do NOT want to be cold, right?), got the bill yesterday and it is $160! It has been creeping up and up over the last 5 years. From $40 a month it is now averaging $60-ish a month or a tad more. In only 5 years! At least Biden and the democrats kept increasing our social security check based on cost of living, but I bet now with MAGA they will freeze any increases going forward. I BET that is what they will do. I remember my mother saying during the Bush II years, for 4 years they did not get any social security checks increase.
