We’d love nothing more than to believe evil, sadistic and psychopathic behaviors don’t exist. But in this real dichotomous world, they do, and there are many reasons why.
Thus we have historical and psychological knowledge and expertise to help analyze the roots of hateful and sadistic behaviors in order to best deal with them. Hence the need for education, organizations, morality and the rule of law in order to function as a healthy modern and global society.

I've long - LONG - wanted someone to organize information from the many people who've received death threats since 2016. I figure the threateners use the dark web and burner phones but there are probably ways to figure out where they gather (virtually and otherwise). I hoped Romney would do it - he'd wanted to lead the country and has the financial wherewithal, but instead he just hired a lot of security for his family. Understandable but not in the public interest. Perhaps now Meidas can manage to - - very carefully - investigate and bring at least some of the leader-threateners into the open.
Giving them due process in a criminal court would be nice, too. Yes, there's a line to be drawn between free speech and causing people to have to change where they live, hire 24/7 guards, etc. to avoid threats of harm to themselves and their loved ones, but if we are to remain a civil society we must draw that line.
