SPEAKER 1
Well, folks, before we get rolling with today's video, I just want to thank everyone out there who has helped us hit 450,000 subscribers. We just hit 400,000 two weeks ago. Hell, we only hit 100,000 back in March when I got that plaque. It's been a heck of a year, and we're closing out really strong.

I've been saying that I would like to see us get to a half a million before Inauguration Day, and if we keep it up at this pace, we're going to get there within the next two weeks. So it's pretty mind-boggling to me, but I really appreciate everyone out there for coming along on this ride with me.

Trump Voter Regrets His Choice After Watching A Tennessee Brando Video

Elections have consequences. There is too much at stake to throw away votes.

In this new video, MeidasTouch’s blue-dot-in-a-red-state reporter Tennessee Brando shares a message he received from a Trump voter who said he regretted his vote after watching a Brando video. The Trump voter candidly admits they cast their vote without researching Trump’s policies, and didn’t even really believe that Trump had a chance of winning.

They now acknowledge how dangerous their choice was, expressing disillusionment with Trump and his administration's actions, specifically surrounding the choice of Pete Hegseth for Defense Secretary, following his comments that he would allow U.S. troops to target civilians.

Meidas+ is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Brando states that he appreciates the voter’s honesty, and doesn’t want to reveal his identify or come across as attacking this person, but stresses that elections have consequences. It is critical for voters to educate themselves about candidates and policies before they vote.

Brando slams the casual or protest-based voting mindset, stating that he has never cast a protest vote, and always stood behind every vote he has ever cast. He also calls for voters to move beyond superficial cultural wars, like Kid Rock’s war on Bud Lite that was just designed to cause outrage, with no actual effect whatsoever on people’s lives.

While acknowledging the Trump voters’ newfound commitment to standing against tyranny, Brando stresses the importance of informed and thoughtful voting, urging everyone to prioritize democracy and a healthy society over momentary emotions or partisan loyalty driven by culture wars.

But here’s the good news: the messages from MeidasTouch contributors are breaking through—and are changing hearts and minds.

Stand with us against the authoritarianism of Donald Trump. We don’t have billionaire investors, we rely on the support of our readers and viewers to keep our pro-democracy movement growing. Consider becoming a subscriber today.

That's nice, but you know what? Fuck that guy. I'm about to lose my health care, my right to get married and how many other things. As a journalist I will be under increased threat of censorship. I guarantee you that voter is a white heterosexual male who's never spent a second thinking about what life would be like as a vulnerable minority. Whoever you are, thanks for screwing me and millions of other Americans over with your "I got mines" throwaway vote. Your regret will really be comforting to us when we have no affordable healthcare, fewer rights, etc.

These people !!!! I agree every American should have the right to vote, but as with everything else ,apparently it can't be blind. Just like needing to be an age, educated or tested for other life altering acts, apparently voting needs to be added to that category. Voting is the most dangerous action you can make as an American citizen . Your one vote holds people's lives, families and freedoms in peril. I am so grateful I am postmenopausal. Due to estrogen dominance and sexual assault as a teenager, during my entire reproductive history . I had 11 miscarriage and was high risk ectopic pregnancy. Because trump was elected in 2016 ,both would have either cost me my life or put me in jail, for a child I WANTED !!!!

Exactly!!! We can spend time being incredulous at people like “J.M.,” but it only hurts our cause. It’s these very people - the uninformed, misguided, apathetic, those that are in the wide space of people that voted T***p that aren’t necessarily advocating for racism, fascism, misogyny, and the like - we need to treat them like family members that have been sucked into a cult. You’ll lose your loved one to the cult completely if you further alienate them because you question and bash their choices. It needs to be treated delicately. And as stupid as it or they may seem, we’ve got to maintain compassion, even if their choices have hurt us. We need to get these people on the fringes back to sanity, logic, and thoughtfulness when it comes to politics and the state of our democracy. Many of these people don’t even understand what the fuck democracy even is, why it matters, how it is being threatened here and other parts of the world, and what the scary alternative even looks like. It isn’t going to help us one bit to spew anger at these fucking morons (I have to get one off before I fully commit to compassion for blatantly foolish behavior😜) We need to keep a safe space, gently lead or support as these people hopefully have a “come to Jesus” moment. Many won’t, but many will and we need to have open arms to those that have made the regretful decisions - it will only make our strength and numbers grow. 💙

I agree - BECAUSE - we need the increased numbers to minimize the damage Trump’s DOGE crew and vengeance aimed cabinet picks are able to inflict on ALL of us - the American people.

I live among Trump loyalists. But they and their relatives are on disability, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security - you get the idea.

One of the heterosexual, white men commented about Trump’s outrageous Cabinet picks - “Of all the people in America - Trump picks these idiots??? Give me a break - was there no one better???”

Some will start contacting their Senators and Representatives when the money threat gets real.

While I have such an overwhelming lump of sympathy in my heart for all those moronic Trump fans that are now realizing they screwed their families, friends and themselves, I harbor an even larger amount of abhorrence towards the cognitively challenged Democrats who think Joe should not have pardoned his son. WTF is wrong with you people. Trump is going to pardon everyone no matter what Joe chose to do. Trump does what Trump does. He does not ask for permission. You think Joe set a precedent just because Hunter is family. You go, Joe. Any father would do anything to save his son from a rabid hoard of Magats. Trump pardoned plenty of people during and especially at the end of his term. Pardons for persons who did much worse and who actually posed threats to our country.

Without a pardon, Hunter would have been mercilessly hounded with further investigations for only one reason. Donald Trump will never stop attacking and endangering any and all who have dared make him look foolish or wrong. Trump would have his minions continue to persecute Hunter to hurt Joe. WHY? Because Donald, the bully, was a loser to Joe in 2020 and he cannot let it go.

So you dummies should be standing with Joe Biden and railing against #45 who pardoned more insidious criminals and who promised to free the Jan 6th Capitol rioters. And from covid to Roe, what I have seen is that Trump makes good on his most destructive thoughts.

Debra MacKillop's avatar

I totally agree with you on Biden pardon of Hunter. Hunter's crimes fit into what pardons are to cover - victimless crimes, that he has paid for (paid late taxes already with penalties & only had gun like a day and in his daughter's possession short time & it was dumped), no victim with either. trump/Patel both announced ready to go after Hunter and never let go, if Hunter got prison, trump could make it deadly. Now I want to see Biden doing a whole bunch of other pardons for many individuals/groups that trump has said he will go after and has done so in the past.

Michael Cohen needs a full pardon or Trump will continue coming after him too with the full force of NY BoP & the fake paperwork that Bill Barr cooked up to re incarcerated him after writing his book to silence him. He would have kept hammering on Hunter Biden too. I am glad potus Biden pardoned him but I think maga Congress are going to drum up more lies to investigatehim over anyway. It's all very corrupt & highly illegal but Trump could care less. He's going to be on his retribution tour & money grab from rich supporters under the guise of his inauguration fund that is going directly into his pockets. The next 4 years are going to me more lies, illegal activity, embezzlement, chaos, turbulence & much more. I am very worried about the future of our country.

I hear you! The problem for the Jan6 thugs is a pardon isn't going to restore their jobs, homes, savings--perhaps even their families because while they are incarcerated Trump hasn't paid their legal fees or bought groceries or paid their rent or house notes.

So Trump's pardon isn't going to get them employment--at least not where they used to work. And, if they were/are small business owners good luck trying to pick up the pieces. He can pardon away. Won't do a bit of good once they realize he won't take their calls or agree to meet with them. It's going to be a giant nothing burger.

Their lives are forever changed and there is nothing they can do about it. Trump is on to his next big con and his fake patriots are out on their bottoms with no way to recover all they've probably lost. I fully expect their initial joy and glee and celebration to quickly turn into raging anger once they realize they will have to sign up for welfare. He's a rabid lying stinking pile of poop and they bought his BS hook line and sinker.

Let's see how long it takes for them to turn to the Resistance. They may come begging, pleading hat in hand to become a part of this movement. They'll be hurt, bruised and broke. I have no intention of ragging on anyone who steps up to beg pardon asking to join hands with this MTN effort. Can't say I'm willing to sit down and break bread--they'll have to show up and prove by words and deeds what they're about. And, if they're thinking they can game the system I have some advice: "Visit the casinos in Vegas."

Yes, of course. Trump’s problem is who he orders to do the dirty deeds he proposes. Why so? Because just like the GOP sent messages to America that former President Obama was “Coming for your guns” was a lie and law enforcemnt across the land let it be known they were not going to conduct raids against Americans to take their guns away Trump faces the same conundrum this time out.

Nobody wearing a uniform and badge is going to put their lives on the line to attack Americans regarding our constitutional right to bear arms. It didn’t happen during his first administration and it’s not going to happen this time around.

Once he’s seated Congress needs to examine the 25th Amendment and take appropriate legal action against this wanna be dictator. He is a madman suffering from frontal lobe deficiency, Narcissim and zero impulse control.

His insiders will eventually plot against him and that’s when TS will hit TF.

Biden should have simply been honest about the reason behind the pardon & he wouldn't have suffered as much backlash. By Harris losing the election, and Patel being appointed to the FBI, it completely changed everything he stated prior to the election. As a father, he's protecting his son due to the inevitable danger. Again, Biden & the democrats have a problem with messaging and trying to always take the high road instead of being savvy. Biden needs to now pardon all of those on the enemies list as well. He owes it to the people who have risked their careers and lives for democracy. Mainstream media needed to call his obvious reasoning out too. Mainstream media has been a huge disappointment in not adamantly supporting democracy.

I honestly believe that Joe may not have pardoned his son had the rabid MAGA crowd not scored the Congress and the White House. Had he felt his son was safe in 2025 from the never ending attacks that were entirely designed to hurt Joe, Hunter might have served his upcoming sentence. Now Joe should pardon all those other patriots, the Democrats, Republicans and independent civil servants who did their jobs and tried to protect our country from Trump. They also need protection from the WRATH of DON. Where is Captain Kirk when you need him?

I think the voting & or tabulation machines in the swing states that received 30+ bomb threats from Russia on election day & forced evacuations had prior malicious software loaded into them prior to the election to activate at certain date & times. Musk was involved in the election with Trump, Trump saying he didn't need any more votes 3 weeks before the election & that he & SOH Johnson had a secret at the MSG rally. Vance is highly involved with Peter Thiel. Between Thiel & Musk they could have easily altered enough software to throw the election to Trump & a recount would show nothing off. And this guy decided, for what s***s and giggles??, to vote for an autocratic, mentally unstable criminal? As though that wouldn't have DIRE consequences for everyone in this country, and potentially around the world? WTAF???

It's good that he regrets his vote, but that doesn't amount to squat compared to the damage that will be done to loads of innocent people who took this election seriously and voted based on facts and morality. This one guy's regret is salt in the wounds of people who will potentially lose their health care, including veterans; their right to marry; their right to travel freely to seek abortion care, to speak their minds freely without fear of doxxing or swatting. This isn't reality TV, it's real life. And this guy's careless attitude about voting is going to hurt millions of people. He doesn't have enough regret for that.

I see him trying to get so many of his "promises" through in these first 18 months, and am thankful there are Mayor's and Governor's around the country gearing up to fight in court against the P25 policies which will severely damage everything and everyone, and could slow down the implementation of his disastrous policies.

When I was growing up my dad always voted. He told me you vote for whoever you think will do their best for you. Besides if you do not vote you have no right to complain when they do not. I have always voted and have complained when I did not like the outcome. During Nixon's second election where I worked after the election, you could not find anyone that did not vote for him among my coworkers. After he resigned you could not find anyone that would admit that they did vote for him. I think in a year or two we will see that here. i WILL NOT let them off the hook that easy.

We need a more robust 24/7/365 pro-democracy media we discussed yesterday, but we also need a more aggressive Democratic Party-led strategy to engage Democratic voters in all 50 states to drive turnout in every election, in every state. The Democratic Party and our Presidential campaigns have to be more than just 7 battleground states.

How to Stop Authoritarians Before They Start

🔸️FITNESS FOR DUTY EVALUATIONS that are mandatory, like the military for high responsibility positions, would have stopped Trump before he got within a mile of the White House.

Bandy X Lee, Steven Hassan, and 100 other psychiatrists agree Trump has five dangerous mental pathologies as listed in the books "The More Dangerous Case of Donald Trump" and "The Psychology Of Trump Contagion - An Existential Threat to American Democracy and All Humankind".

"Containing Trump Contagion and Healing from Mental Pathology in Politics"

https://youtu.be/HTkCqU5LM-k?si=f6g0PolglC21w1nR

🔸️Fitness for Duty Evaluations start with everyone who interacts with the individual in question, and when red flags start to appear, 'say something.'

The US Military has procedures to follow that require individuals in question to have a Fitness for Duty Evaluation. Voters must demand the House and Senate do the same.

"Stephen Xenakis- Fitness for Duty Exams: Preventing Autocratic Abuse"

https://youtu.be/vdtChF07ryU?si=VJ5dauWFoUQg10uH

🔸️Outside the military are professionals like Dr. Bandy X. Lee who has several dozen colleagues all of whom are highly qualified to do Fitness for Duty Evaluations.

The U.S. House and Senate have several mechanisms to enforce their rules, including:

* Leadership

* Committees

* Floor Procedures

* Party Discipline

It's important to note that these mechanisms are not always used consistently or effectively. The more voters demand mentally fit leaders the more the House and Senate will comply.

🔸️I like what forensic psychologist Dr. Bandy X. Lee says that fascism and authoritarianism are just dangerous mental pathologies that worm their way into politics.

Everyone on Earth deserves and demands leadership that is mentally fit.

Fitness for Duty Evaluations performed by well respected psychiatrists ensures every country has leaders who do not serve their own power, but serve their own people.

With a pool of mentally fit candidates, we then have all the elections we wish.

🔸️"Trump.. meets diagnostic criteria from the DSM-5 for five personality disorders! These are: 1) narcissistic; 2) antisocial; 3) psychopathic, which has more lack of remorse; 4) paranoid; and 5) grandiose and paranoid delusional disorders."

So, yes, both Biden and Harris would likely pass with flying colors any Fitness for Duty Evaluations

THE NEWSLETTER OF DR. BANDY X. LEE The More Dangerous State of the World, the Need for Fit Leadership, and the Much More Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, Part 6

Hey Tennessee Brando. I appreciate everything you are doing. I live in SC and a high school friend from back home in Pennsylvania told me he voted for Trump in 2016 and in 2020. After January 6th happened, he said Trump was an asshole and he shouldn't be President. Fast forward to this election and my friend told me he will vote for Trump again. I told my friend that during Trump's first term, I lost over $4,000 a year in my tax returns due to Trump rewriting the tax write-offs. My friend said that he lost over $9,000 each year. So, I asked him why he was voting for Trump. We had a long conversation and he seemed to understand and agree with me about the dangers and the policies that will directly affect us. On Election Day, my friend still voted for Trump. I asked him if he makes over $500,000 a year. He responded that he makes no where near that. I reaffirmed to him that if he was making less than that, there isn't a single benefit to voting for any republican including Trump. Why is it so hard to get through to Trump's supporters? It can be laid out in black and white and they still don't get it. I hope you can give me your opinion on this. Thank you. Donato Rinaldi

Because it's not about facts for them--it's about feelings. That's the irony. They accuse Democrats of being 'snowflakes,' but we vote according to facts. I don't know what he told you, but clearly your friend understands the economic consequences of voting for Trump, which leads me to believe that whatever his reason for voting for him was it had nothing to do with money. Maybe he is afraid of losing his privilege. That's why a lot of men support him. It doesn't sound like he is putting much rational thought into his voting.

Unfortunately, this is just one more example of how disengaged the American electorate has become. People do not fully comprehend how government functions and the effects on their lives from bad policies.

People want to yell from the rooftops about the loss of freedom under Democrats, and yet all I see from the Right is the suspension and elimination of personal freedoms. Whether it is a woman’s bodily autonomy, removing books from libraries or taking healthcare away from millions of Americans, the Right has aggressively assailed individual freedom and liberties.

I have no sympathy for people having voter’s remorse. Paraphrasing what Dennis Green once famously said, “Trump is what we thought he was.” The calamity that will come in the wake of a second Trump administration cannot be conveniently blamed on, “I didn’t know better.”
