Speaking of Pink hats and protests Marches, can we start pushing information on the Sat Jan 18, 2025 "Peoples March" in DC and all state capitals? I have heard many writers here say they will join in protests marches. Its time to start announcing and push this march. The only announcement I have seen is on the Women's March website. They have rebranded it to the "Peoples March".
I have heard Al Sharpton is planning an MLK march on the 20th. I wish everyone would join together on the 18th and have a banging protest march on the 18th. What will I protest? "No Kings, no Facists."
Great idea. If we look at what occurred in South Korea, I think we should begin marches earlier. With the nominees he has put out, we see exactly his plan, his maddening immorality, and we should write letters, cards to every Congressperson, the supposed check on his imbalance, right now. Confirmation hearing should soundly reject each nominee.

Unfortunately, many who protested in the 1960's-70's with passion, got arrested for women's rights, civil rights, desegragation, voting rights, wars are too old to march in the cold or heat. Younger people are too busy, poor, feeling powerless are unaware of their power for peaceful resistance - Gandhi, MLK, even Icelandic womens' 24 hour strike, centuries of their usefulness in revolts. I have been advocating tax revolt, never list 0 on your W-2 form for a tax refund, instead take the max. deductions or like Yale students did on their telephone bills during Vietnam war-they refused to pay the taxes on the bills-I had to write off tax off monthy-general strike, boycotts, sit-down protests-got arrested, marches. Get in their way, pepper them with outbreaks, be a constant irritant, take profits away, do not cooperate. So many opportunities to act have passed us by while we listened to all the "Town Criers" warn us of DANGERS!
I’m worried about infiltration from MAGA goons who would bring anarchy, giving trump the opportunity to call out the “violent left”. Then enact very authoritarian laws to forbid public assembly, or something else very putin-esque . I swear, I can tell how he thinks now 🤮
"We have nothing to fear but fear itself." If our freedom and democratic, responsible, honorable, representative governments are what WE love and want for future generations and we know that no one is coming to save us from a corrupt, partisan US Supreme Court, a puppet Congress, authoritarian, theocratic, oligarch ridden governments, WE are in the trenches as peaceful 'soldiers' willing to risk it all for the nation we love-imperfect though it was and will be. This is the TIME and PLACE before it all is dismantled and WE rebuild from scratch for 330M Americans.
A one off doesn't move the needle. It has to continue, be an ever present and irritating movement that draws attention, takes away revenue, business profits, disrupts the status quo, requires a response.
Count me in!! We need to keep spreading the word, this is the first I heard of it. I was hoping we weren't going to let a traitor sit in OUR White House without us publicly showing how much we despise this human.
I may risk getting a lot of flack for this, but marches are risky. They easily get out of hand, usually by bad actors who infiltrate to stir up sh*t and I think this could be a Made for MAGA skinhead opportunity. Then trump (or Patel!) sends in the National Guard, publicly denounces the Violent Left, and enacts authoritarian laws against public gatherings, or whatever it is in russia or hungary.
I know, I know. I’ve turned it around in my head a lot. It’s a fine line between courageous resistance and playing into their slimey hands. I myself prefer a stealth mode, but probably attacking by two fronts is best 💪
Their youtube channel kept me sane through the 2020 election, honestly. I clung to every word Ben said. It gave me hope and explained things from a legal perspective
I didn’t find their YouTube channel until June of this year! It’s been such a welcome reprieve from MSM. Honestly I’ve stopped watching MSM regularly (and only when I hear of “non-political” breaking news) and my stress levels have gotten so much better
