America’s barbecue isn’t sizzling, it’s bleeding. Prices are up 25%, meat is the new eggs, and Trump’s gaslighting can’t disguise what the register already screams.
Even the MAGAat’s have to have some decency in them. Raping underage girls the passing them around to their pervert friends has to crawl in the guts of the staunchest MAGA supporter.
I don't agree. I think they are fine with whatever trump wants to do and would gladly give him their daughters/grand daughters to pass around. I mean what could be a higher badge of honor than to say your 13 year old had sex with Donald Trump? He picked HER out of all the other 13, 14 year olds.
What I don't get is how none of them have any trouble with his comments across the years indicating very clearly they he views Ivanka in a sexual way. Now *that* might be a red line: trafficking one's own daughter.
Sadly, I don't think so....again, that's their idea of family values. Most of us think that it is disgusting to consider your daughters an asset just to be sold to the highest bidder but they consider all women livestock. If they didn't they would not vote for trump, they would vote for someone who protected and expanded the rights of women. Their actions tell us all we need to know.
Old white dude who lives across the street from me, second marriage to a woman whose heritage is not Anglo. I *think* her parents came here from their country of origin. They have two daughters adopted from yet another country. Their yard was full of Trump/Pence (switched to Trump/Vance with tape the next round) signs for months. While I'm sure they'd agree with a lot of this crap, I'd be very hard-pressed to think they'd be okay with their daughters being trafficked. For all of the horrible things most of these people accept, I believe it crosses a line for US to suggest that all MAGAs would do that.
Do you actually think the average MAGA triglyceride cares about their daughters. If t/rump called them up and told them to send their daughter to the White House so he could show her a good time, the people in the MAGA cult would personally drive their daughter to the White House.
I have always found it absolutely appalling that anyone could think a person is fit to be a world leader who communicates so poorly and lies so much that he has to backpedal regularly with "I was just joking" and/or "I was being sarcastic." You have to know not only what you're saying but how other people will hear it and what the possible effects of saying it will be, none of which he does. EVER.
Just like the parents who offered up their children to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, so he could sleep with them on his Neverland ranch. For the glory, for the fame. Assholes.
I wonder how many parents will take their children to the sexual predator hired by the orange blob, to manage a health/keep well group for children. Is there any information about this somewhere?
Doesn't seem to have mattered so far. They could be shown photos and they'd claim they were AI. Either that, or they really, truly, wouldn't care, because they're so freaking brainwashed in this cult.
That’s true and their rallying cry,”Fake News!” But I’m seeing fewer MAGA caps around and fewer Drumpht flags flying. When the prices kept going up, overseas markets stopped buying our products, crops are rotting on the trees and fields. Promises made were promises broken. The Red states are having a harder time making ends meet. There are armed soldiers walking our streets kidnapping men, women and children and throwing them in vans. The dawn is starting to break that they backed the wrong horse’s ass.
And it is getting harder and harder for the GOP to hide the fact that their states are having a hard time making ends meet (and will not be able to now that they will not be as subsidized by the blue states as they have been in the past...in the past the taxes from blue states paid for medicaid, snap, and all other safety nets and the red states simply do not have the tax base to replace those funds with state dollars. )
Most have done what he’s done but with family members. That’s why I ask them if they have some deep dark secrets involving children and instantly blocked. No defense,no whataboutism and that is a major tell with them.
A number of Epstein/Maxwell's sex abuse victims will be speaking at a press conference September 3, 2025, at the House Triangle at 10:30 am EST. It is beyond time to hear their voices.
Absolutely... the Christian GOP is all in favor of his being allowed to do that..that's part of their family friendly agenda. It will be a challenge when putin tells him to get rid of everyone's guns....there is pretty strick gun control in russia...he'll have to try to do it, but that may be the line that maga won't let him cross...having sex with kids, making sure anyone who wants one has a automatic firearm to do mass killings of kids...that's all ok, but taking away guns might be too much. Might. Russia is pretty hard on evangelical churches also, but that's fine since trump is more of a lord and savior than Jesus to the true maga faithful but guns...boy that will be tough.
My mother's caregiver is from Russia. She's been here for many years. They moved to America because they didn't have freedom of religion but she thinks Putin is wonderful. 🤔
Well, my first thought is why does she stay here, but my second thought is what is she comparing putin to? I honestly don't know what Russia was like for the Russians before he became dictator. For all I know, and I'll admit this is embarrassing because I know so little, maybe he has made health care more available, the streets more safe (strict gun control laws in Russia), maybe he does not belittle the working people and maybe although there is not great freedom of religion I do think he supports the Russian Orthodox Church (he actually goes) and I don't know if there is any pedophilia in his past, he's only been married once and I don't know if he coats everything with gold. And maybe everyone in Russia has enough to eat and I think there were times in their past when that was not true, or at least there wasn't much to eat.
We for sure can't come to any conclusions based on what one person said...this of what a Bernie Sanders supporter would say compared to a trump supporter about America, but it is interesting to get the viewpoint of even one person. Again, if putin is so wonderful why doesn't she go back? To say putin is wonderful but also say but it's so much better here in the US must lead to some internal confusion/cognitive dissonance. I genuinely do hope she is happy here and there is not some sad reason she does not return to Russia. Unless of course she's here because she is so happy owning an automatic assault rifle...
Cheeto’s “Special” Envoy Witkoff Is Just Another Putin Ass Kisser
Follow the money It has been known for a long time that Cheeto has been in the pockets of Russian oligarchs since he was having trouble getting money for his real estate deals from American bankers with his past history of bankruptcies and poor money management This had pushed Cheeto to look toward Deutsche Bank for financing But why hassle with Western banks when you can get all you want from Motherland Russia?
Enter Steve Witkoff Cheeto’s New York real estate buddy who has followed Cheeto’s path to Moscow so both scumbags are in the pockets of the Kremlin Cheeto appoints Witkoff as a “special envoy” to work out a deal with Putin
Witkoff is special alright He’s so special that he’s in the Kremlin’s pocket as much as Cheeto Soooo as Lev Parnas reports about Witkoff’s job, "Don’t listen when the media tells you Witkoff is 'confused.' That’s the cover story. This isn’t confusion. It’s a deliberate stalling tactic. A distraction. A way to buy time while Russia pounds Ukraine with drones and missiles."
25% is being generous! I shopped for groceries Thursday and spent at least 50% more than I typically would for LESS food. Thank gawd I doubled the size of my garden this year and will be able to supplement that way. Plus, I've seen no adjustment in gas prices this weekend as they promised. I heard all week long that it was supposed to be the lowest in years-- NOPE, not here anyway!
Yesterday (8/30/25) I paid $34.47 for 4.5 pounds of ground beef. For those who don't have a calculator handy, that's $7.66 per pound at Wal Mart. Have a nice holiday cookout.
Someone should take Trump ,Vance and that Chipmunk Bearded Financial Cabinet appointee grocery shopping. . Then an independent analyst should confirm the prices from 2 years ago. Depending on where you live prices may be up more than 25 percent. Not only are the consumables up , but paper goods ,cleaning items and over the counter meds are up as well. Let us see the numbers.
I still don't think they would understand. Millionaires can't possibly know what it's like to try to value shop, clip coupons, collect points, and shop store by store sales in order to stretch a budget and feed a family healthy meals and not junk.
That includes the entire GOP congress. And even if they have an inkling of how hard it is for their constituents, they don't care about them. Why even Susan Collins isn't concerned about the high price of groceries/gas/utilities.
The biggest problem we face is about 33% of our country are trained to love Trump with every breaking of the Constitution and the more I read about the MAGA cult it's simply terrifying. One poll even showed if Trump was all over the Epstein files it wouldn't change thier feelings towards Trump. This is the embodiment of an almost complete inability to live with people without any ability of critical thinking whatsoever. Just to add if Trump is a child molester than they should just release the Files anyways because he will still maintain his voter base.
These people will always vote for a Republican even after their healthcare and SNAP are gone and they have no jobs! They'll blame democrats and immigrants🙄 To them, It's proof that they've always been right-- no way Trump would do that to them🤦♀️🤮
I'm somewhat of a expert on MAGA, Ohio MAGAs anyway. We grew up w Jim Jordan--everyone my husband and I know in OH4 is MAGA including both of our families and all of our lifelong "friends". Plus, I am retired from the State--worked/lived all over Ohio. There's no difference from those in Lorain to Gallipolis or Greenville to Bridgeport (N,S,E,W Ohio) except maybe their accent. They're ALL equal in narcissism to the 🍊💩. It's generational-- behavioral, environnental, and genetic. There are traits (brain/mentality, neuro, & hormonal) that makes them who they are. For 60yrs I've lived it and done a lot of research (and therapy) to try to understand/overcome my own family and why they are the way they are. It finally came to the point that I felt the best choice for me was to simply stay away... for my own mental health. Is it coincidence that I'm the only one in 4 generations who couldn't wait to "escape" my Jim Jordan MAGA family and is highly educated?
No one should think they will change our can be changed by anything-- facts, evidence, proof makes them dig in further. They won't and can't ever admit they're wrong or apologize for anything no matter how bad they and their families are hurt by it. Sound familiar? Yeah, they're just like him. It's insane.
You’re onto something when you say it’s generational as well as environmental…
My dad “escaped “ small-town Kansas in 1964, by coming out to Oregon -as he had seen the world thru his enlistment in the army…
And he took voting seriously!
A lot of my relatives in Kansas though, are there still , yet not voting .. I only once heard one say “cause it doesn’t matter “
So you have (very simplified math):
1/3 who will always vote one way, 1/3 who vote after deliberations, and 1/3 who won’t participate .. not sure how to fix but too much is allowed to change at the national level by only 1/3 of the voting population with only 2 choices to vote for
Iget it. My husband and I (we've been together since we were 16, 42yrs) couldn't wait to escape that area. I graduated hs early (16) and went straight to OSU--an MBA & 2 IT degrees later (all paid for on my own), I decided to go into public service (not for the money either), and retired from the State (exec mgmt). I'm nothing like anyone in my family and damn proud of it! The only one to have any higher education and a successful career. My younger siblings, both in their 50s, still live with and rely on our parents!
I have 3 daughters, all college educated. I am hopeful I broke that cycle. I know that none of my daughters want to live anywhere near that area. They visit their grma, but that's it🤞🤞🤞 When you've not been part of it for such a long time, it gives you a knawing, dreadful, negative feeling that you just cannot get out of there fast enough. I don't go "home" at all anymore, not for visits, hs reunions, not even my all time favorite pizza, nothing. It all brings up memories and feelings that I'm just over!
By now, I would smell meat sizzling from the neighbors cookouts. Not this year, I’m even scratching my head readjusting my menu because the meat prices are through the roof!!😤
My hope and expectation is that the steadily emerging disaster will enrage enough people to break this authoritarian drive. Will it be easy or simple? No of course not. But one thing you can count on most Americans no matter their political affiliations is when they work hard only to see everything priced out of sight is that they will turn on the politicians who are in charge.
Typically I would agree. It's different with Trump. It's because he is the closest personality to themselves in our lifetime. You've seen Jim Jordan. His behavior and mentality is the norm with Ohio MAGAs, every age group, every district, every tiny little run down red town.
Don't get me wrong. I pray that someday something gets through to them. I just don't see it happening though. Not common sense, facts or evidence, loss of democracy and freedom--
🤔🤔🤔well, on 2nd thought, maybe if he came out and said he was taking their guns, that might do it. And if you think about it, dictators don't typically allow their citizens to have weapons so maybe it could happen. But by then. it would be far too late.
Just my opinion and I do hope I'm proven wrong by them.
His followers are going to ride or die with him. It's everybody else that will be wired by the coming storm. That's who I was referring to in my initial comment. Remember, he lost the popular vote in 2016 and did not win the majority in 2024, so he's not really that popular.
Many people are voting out the incumbent president in recent elections because of general economic dissatisfaction as much as anything else. The economic chaos will be increasingly extreme. That factor, along with the growing unpopularity of his overall agenda plus massive generalized disruption will make things untenable for him and the gop to continue forward.
Across the country tens of thousands of cars driven by MAGA drivers have run out of gas and been abandoned on the roadside after their owners have heroically driven for hours searching for a gas station offering Trump’s promised $2.00 per gallon petrol. SO SAD!
But thanks to Puppy Killer (please see Lisandra Vazquez's post today on YouTube if you need to laugh!), crops are rotting because there are not enough farmworkers left who are willing to risk being disappeared.
We live in Ventura County in Southern California, a major year round agricultural area.
One farmer said publicly and repeatedly that 70% of her REGULAR, faithful farmworkers are GONE.
Some disappeared by ICE.
Some stay home to attempt to keep safe.
I guess a few do return to their countries of origin where they face danger.
This barbecue fire is only part a larger conflagration. We are busy putting out the spot fires, but we cannot seem to stop the arsonists. Trump's latest post saying, "The world will soon understand. Nothing can stop what is coming". The coinciding image is chilling. This warns of a massive push toward 'Global Power Restructuring'. As Michael and others have been saying, this is calculated chaos. Vote Blue!

Someone asked me why I posted the original post. My answer was that so much of history depends on context and the perspectives of those most directly affected. It is easy to condemn Putin’s invasion of Ukraine but to understand it in context is harder.

Well written and spot on. At Publix and a older woman looking at meat looks at me and asked You vote for this? Hell no Mam. And honestly she muttered fuck trump. No more needed to be said.
Remember when people on fixed income (Social Security) were existing on cat food? Well happy days are here again! Can we all start listening to Bernie & AOC PLEASE!

Exactly🎯💯

I can't believe that! Isn't Susan Collins the one who is "concerned" about everything?
That's why it's a big deal that even she is totally ok with the current state of affairs, and not the least bit "concerned"
Yes brother he’s a lowdown criminal
They know there caught but they have no choice but to deny it .we see you fakers
Being POTUS is his side hussle
We all knew this truth MAGA was nobody I was literally their brand
I told they had Spotify weaponized
(Sorry such a long response)
Not this year, I’m even scratching my head readjusting my menu because the meat prices are through the roof!!😤
release theEPSTEIN FILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"...they will turn on the politicians who are in charge"
Like the quote from the French revolution, ""When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich" Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Focus on electricity prices too, Michael. And how they are sabotaging wind farms and hyping electricity-hogging data centers.
Across the country tens of thousands of cars driven by MAGA drivers have run out of gas and been abandoned on the roadside after their owners have heroically driven for hours searching for a gas station offering Trump’s promised $2.00 per gallon petrol. SO SAD!
Sounds like a Mad Max movie..."Beyond Donniedom".
Source? Or is this mainly your fantasy?
I read the comment as satire.
Seems like a lovely fantasy to me.
I am vegetarian.
Vote Blue!

"Considering the commonality of the economy, the territorial proximity, and the close economic and cultural ties between the Crimean Oblast' and the Ukrainian SSR, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics decrees: ["]Approve the joint submission of the Presidium of the RSFSR Supreme Soviet and the Presidium of the Ukrainian SSR Supreme Soviet concerning the transfer of the Crimean Oblast' from the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic to the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic." But despite all the difficulties, we were able to preserve the core of what was once the vast Soviet Union, [now] the Russian Federation. ... We are living at a time of an economy in transition, of a political system that does not yet correspond to the state and level of our society’s development. Furthermore, our country, formerly protected by the most powerful defence system along the length of its external frontiers overnight found itself defenceless both from the east and the west. It will take many years and billions of roubles to create new, modern and genuinely protected borders." [End insert] * * * * *
[2 months later,] Tens of thousands took to the streets of the capital to protest widespread fraud and ballot-stuffing in the November 2004 presidential election, in which Russian-backed candidate Viktor Yanukovych defeated pro-Western candidate Viktor Yushchenko. These statements were supported by scant evidence but were nevertheless repeated at length over subsequent years.

Someone asked me why I posted the original post. My answer was that so much of history depends on context and the perspectives of those most directly affected. It is easy to condemn Putin’s invasion of Ukraine but to understand it in context is harder.
History also reminds us as well that Ukraine's Past is not 99-44/100 Percent Pure. The Washington Post, October 6, 1991 https://tinyurl.com/ycyr4k58

Who is right? Maybe everyone, maybe no one. Who is wrong? Maybe everyone, maybe no one. I do not advocate for any party or policy. I try to understand the lessons history teaches so I can better understand where we are and why, and what might be possible.
