He is not demented. He is drunk on his own ego and power. Everyone around him feeds him admiration. And truth has never mattered to him. Only winning, whatever that is.

Janet, everything is about him lining his pockets with our taxes & the tariff taxes we pay & feeding his weak, pathetic ego. All that money that anyone wonders about is going straight into Trump's pockets to make his dreams come true. A huge ballroom, a big cement patio over the Rose Garden, getting his Saudi plane fixed up for him to fly around in, decorating the Oval Office & his residence ostentatiously with 24k gold, is where all the missingvmoney is going.

I am not even American, but as a gardener, it hurt to see the Rose Garden take such a bashing. Replanted ugly in his first term, paved in his second. What a metaphor.

I hope the next adult president quietly restores the Rose Garden to its former beauty. Another powerful metaphor.

It's really sad that a madman can come into office & destroy meaningful, historic things that don't even belong to him. The same goes for any majir changes, like adding a jumbo ballroom. The White House doesn't belong to him, it belongs to the people. Our tax dollars support it.

I too have walked beside on that journey. Not an easy one. So sending big hugs.

I think, though, watching Trump, he is not demented at all. He is able to hold on very firmly to his fave narratives (wicked left, antifa, Biden, Barack HUSSEIN Obama), and lies easily and spontaneously (just not believably).

What I do see are the effects of a lifetime of cruelty and self indulgence, malignant narcissim, a bloated ego and being rich, spoiled, angry. Add in the effects of congestive heart failure, mini strokes and voila....the "leader" of the free world...

You are right with every thing you mentioned. He has so many character flaws or personality disorders. I honestly don't know a single person who behaves the way he does. He is the worst role model as a president displaying such despicable behavior with no shame whatsoever. Most of us care what others think & we monitor ourselves accordingly. I would never choose him for a friend, no matter what. Just being a liar alone is all it takes for me to have nothing to do with such a person.

There is a lot to be said for the ability to conduct oneself with self-control, even-handedness, generousity, reserve, tact, kindness, intelligence and perception.

Social media has given us a place to be our least selves, with none of the usual consequences (folks not liking you!). This has so degraded everyday interactions. And Trump has normalized the crudest, most vulgar and destructive behaviour. He is loathesome.

Republicans are certainly complicit (and unlike Ivanka, I know what that means) because their only interest is Party, Power, and Pelf. I'm not sure who the 2025 Gang expects to rule over, when they decimate the population (if we're lucky, and only lose 10%) rape the land, and pollute the air and water. RELEASE THE EPSTEIN CONSPIRACY FILES

Time to brush up on your knowledge of "The Epstein Conspiracy." Not "the Files." Not "the Client List."Make no mistake. It's "The Epstein Conspiracy" and we need to start calling it that because that's exactly what it is. It involves Epstein. Trump. Israel. Russia. There are lots and lots of people whose names you will recognize immediately. Big names. At the highest levels of US government and far beyond. It's global.

Here are the posts and articles I have collected detailing the depths of "The Epstein Conspiracy." It's not just some files, it's not just a client list. It's literally a massive conspiracy to conceal that global pedo cabal you've heard about all this time. It involves billionaires, royals, politicians, banking institutions, universities, intelligence agencies and global leaders. If you haven't fully dived into the rabbit hole yet, these links are a good start.

Every post I'm linking has verifiable sources. This is not some kooky conspiracy theory Kool Aid. This is all publicly available information. Every name and every thread are connected. In most cases the details of these posts and articles are corroborated by each other.

Successful Social Movements

In this transcript Professor Chenoweth discusses the four elements necessary for a successful social movement. Below are excerpts from the transcript.

The third thing that successful movements do is they innovate new tactics. This is very important because movements that tend to over-rely on a single technique like protests, like demonstrating every Friday, something that becomes very routinized, end up succumbing much more quickly first of all to protester fatigue, but the second thing is they often subject their participants to a higher risk of repression or communal violence from opponents. So movements that are capable of having the capacity to shift to methods of dispersion, like stay-at-homes or strikes or forms of economic noncooperation, tend to be much more effective because they have the capability of maneuver when the state begins to ramp up violence against them.

Those are the four things—numbers, defections, tactical innovations, and discipline. What do we need for those things to happen? We need to organize. I think one of the key reasons why many movements have struggled around the world, including in the United States before now, is that there has been an overemphasis on mobilizing and less of an emphasis on organizing because to have the capacity to do these things skillfully means that there has to be a baseline level of trust, political education, collective identity, and also a sense that the struggle is longer than just the next event we have to plan to be in the streets, that the struggle is a long struggle, and even if there is one particular event that gets derailed, we are still in this, and it's a long-term kind of struggle. Movements that end up planning event to event or march to march or protest to protest are in much more danger of being thrown off-course and having these sort of demobilizational factors affect their long-term trajectories.

From No mercy/No malice

By Professor Scott Galloway

We frame economic power as a contest between capital and labor, but the real star of the American economy is consumer spending, which accounts for 68% of GDP. The Great Recession saw a 3.4% drop in consumer spending — at the time, the most severe year-over-year decline since World War II. The U.S. economy registered a 9.8% drop in consumer spending during the second quarter of 2020, when Covid shut down the world as we knew it. In both instances the U.S. government responded aggressively, spending hundreds of billions, primarily on bailouts, to pull us out of the Great Recession, and trillions, primarily in direct aid, to get us through the pandemic. The lesson? When consumers stop spending, American leaders start listening. As Geo Hussar explained to his YouTube followers at the end of September, “this is not seizing the means of production, but seizing the means of consumption,” adding that if every American dropped their consumption, on average, by 2%, “that would be the most loud and potent form of protest.”

Well said, we lost our home and 1/2 retirement in the 2009 recession. At that time Obama convinced lenders to do deeds in lieu,of foreclosure. We gave them our house, all the equity was lost, they sold it and got their money back and we did not have to pay the taxes on the value as it was not considered capital gains. Needless to say we cut spending and have again. Sad but true reality.

She has some revisions to the 3.5% rule.

Questions, Answers, and Some Cautionary Updates Regarding the 3.5% Rule

FOUR KEY TAKEAWAYS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

• The 3.5% figure is a descriptive statistic based on a sample of historical movements. It is not necessarily a prescriptive one, and no one can see the future. Trying to achieve the threshold without building a broader public constituency does not guarantee success in the future.

• The 3.5% participation metric may be useful as a rule of thumb in most cases; however, other factors—momentum, organization, strategic leadership, and sustainability—are likely as important as large-scale participation in achieving movement success and are often precursors to achieving 3.5% participation.

• New research suggests that one nonviolent movement, Bahrain in 2011-2014, appears to have decisively failed despite achieving over 6% popular participation at its peak. This suggests that there has been at least one exception to the 3.5% rule, and that the rule is a tendency, rather than a law.

• Large peak participation size is associated with movement success. However, most mass nonviolent movements that have succeeded have done so even without achieving 3.5% popular participation.

I don't think either of you guys understand We the People have already lost what matters to us most! A law/order, Constitutional, democratic republic where represntatives of good will take an Oath of Office to work together for the greatest good for the greatest amount of taxpayers and voters, all Americans. Now, antifa is labeled domestic terrorists, Dept. of Defense is named Dept. of War, 800+ Generals etc. are called to DC to hear that they are at war with the enemies within the USA, FCC threatens ABC to take a TV show off the air-Kimmel is off for a week+ in Sinclair and Nexstar areas, universities, media, law firms, businesses are directed to do trump/GOP agendas or be punished, ICE, National Guard-MASKED, ARMED, UNIDENTIFIED THUGS are on our streets seizing people, assaulting peaceful protesters, breaking into homes and cars, workplaces, courts, schools, legally profiling Latino looking, Latin accented people without court warrants, detaining them and without due process sending them to prisons, Africa-ANYWHERE that will take them, females are forced to give birth or almost die or die trying to deliver a baby, RFK Jr. wants to take away abortion and birth control pills and leaves more deadly ERECTION HELPERS for impotent, old, failing males completely alone, healthcare will be much more expensive in 2026 for EVERYONE not just Affordable Care users. VT has NO Medicare Advantage Plan for 2026 and many states have 2026 Advantage plans with no drug coverage. People must buy DRUG insurance to be covered by $2000 annual cap on out-of-pocket drug expenses. Old people aren't dying fast enough and healthcare insurance companies will profit and keep WALL STREET, oligarchs rolling in our bloody $$$$. DOJ, FBI, DHS, DOD/DOW, FEMA, US Supreme Court, RFK Jr.'s whole DEPT. is left in hands of wack jobs, vaccines, drugs, research, everything is broken and unaccountable, Trump et. al. treat Federal Workers as if they are their employees, they are ours, fire at will, empty out funded agencies and departments, treat our IRS taxpayments as their own SLUSH FUND to freeze, reward, use as blackmail, clawback to move our $$$ elsewhere, laws, court decisions, budget law are meerly suggestions and nothing more because US SUPREME COURT made POTUS immune to laws that govern the whole rest of 340M people in the USA, SCOTUS will rubberstamp Trump/GOP desires with emergency, shadow docket decisions giving no legal reason for their decsions, lower courts are just a passing through case handlers as appeals, US Supreme Court journey rolls slowly forward while We the People pray for HELP against this fascist, violent, cruel Trump/GOP Kingdom of Executive Orders, LOYAL GOP Legislative and Executive Branches and corrupted, bought and paid for US SUPREME COURT.

I'm sorry! I was on a roll and couldn't stop. This F'ing Federal Gov. HAS to stay SHUTDOWN. We the PEOPLE are under attack and Federal, State, Local governments are run on OUR TAXES! Federal workers MUST STRIKE-GO HOME. Why should TAXPAYERS feel sorry for them-WE ALWAYS PAY THEM. Yes, services and people will feel the pain. Federal workers, EVERYONE should be in PAIN TOGETHER-ALL AT ONCE! the PEOPLE MUST AWAKE and RESIST TOGETHER NOW! We will all feel the pain together or suffer and die separately.

I feel in my gut! This is the right move and the right time to FIGHT it ALL, to STOP it ALL, show our purchasing POWER and unrest to the 1-5% of the wealthiest among us, bring PROFITS to a halt, oligarchs must support RESISTANCE and self-ruled, law/order society or they will go down with us. WE are many more than them and together in our suffering WE can act to HEAL our country. PERHAPS, now or never. But, this SHUTDOWN cannot be just about HEALTHCARE. OUR BUDGET is a SLUSH FUND, a suggestion, a weapon for dictators to wield, our military is "unleashed" by Miller,Trump, Hegseth, puyppy killer, Noem, Homan etc.

Get really into our existence as single, defenseless, less wealthy, less able to fend with legal dangers, healthcare disappearing or too expensive, targeted on the streets, at peaceful protests-be an ordinary person with nothing special but a lot of love for their country and our people, the world and you too would refuse to pay for any of this. Too be complicit by funding it is traitorous and sadistic activity.

SHUT IT ALL DOWN UNTIL the WEALTHY, PSYCHOTIC, LYING, MASOCHISTIC, MEGALOMANIACS GIVE UP THEIR POWER AND FINANCIAL HOLD OVER OUR GOVERNMENT AND BUSINESSES AND WE THE PEOPLE. This will not go away by ministeps in the right direction not with the money and criminally insane in charge.

Cheeto Didn’t Learn His Lesson In 2021

Let’s go back to 2020 when Cheeto after losing the election pulled all the stops including a ransacking of the Capitol building during the J6 insurrection when Cheeto called on his hoodlums to interfere with the certification of the election

As all the turmoil was being churned now disbarred Guliani and his Nazi cohort of lawyers filed and lost 61 lawsuits in court attempting to push Cheeto’s Big Lie agenda

Well it’s now 2025 and Cheeto is trying to militarize the streets of Democratic cities, first Los Angeles, then Portland, and now Chicago But the federal courts as they did in 2020 have turned the stupidity of the attempt to militarize our cities into what could only be termed sham legalese

So Cheeto being the bully he is, thinks that he can get away his military junta attempt and as JB Pritzker(governor of Illinois) has said that bringing the military is about fear and intimidation of the electorate in the runup to the 2026 midtems Pritzker also suggested on Maddow yesterday that he believes that the Nazi regime will confiscate voting machines

What we hear from the fool in our White House is a little man behind a big gold screen roaring into a microphone. Turn off the mic, pull back the screen and call him what he is - The Fool on the Hill.

FFTrump is acting out a very deliberate scheme created by anti American money grabbers. His role is a rouse to distract. Don't EVER listen to him speak. Our TV goes dead or at least the channel changes every time his face or voice appear. Thank you Meidas for creating a place to hear intelligent, clear eyed, discussions. All generations have their challenges. This is ours.
