But it omits that Wolff highlighted the probability of Russian money laundering in that real estate transaction. If I understood it accurately, Trump outbid Epstein for a mansion. Epstein knew Trump did not have the money and found out he got it from a Russian so could pay more than Epstein. Then the Russian bought it from Trump for a lot more money.
Wolff said Epstein disclosed Russian money laundering. He said shortly after that Trump turned on Epstein, and Epstein was in jail, and dead soon after. If true, that kind of dealing with Russia used to be treason until Trump became dictator. Might covering up that be more essential than harms to girls and women which Trump is proud to do and get away with? Maxwell had wealth, privilege, and education, and she chose to enlist underage girls for the pleasure of wealthy men. I have three daughters and two granddaughters. I can't get past this one. I’d bet the farm that a vengeful Fatass definitely dropped a dime on his buddy Epstein just to get even for some perceived slight. And since he knew exactly what was happening, whether or not he actually participated (and I believe he did), he knew that telling the cops would bring a world of hurt down on Epstein.

I appreciate this detailed essay. But at the end when it refers to Michael Wolff's investigation, it mentions only a real estate disagreement. But it omits that Wolff highlighted the probability of Russian money laundering in that real estate transaction. If I understood it accurately, Trump outbid Epstein for a mansion. Epstein knew Trump did not have the money and found out he got it from a Russian so could pay more than Epstein. Then the Russian bought it from Trump for a lot more money.
Wolff said Epstein disclosed Russian money laundering. He said shortly after that Trump turned on Epstein, and Epstein was in jail, and dead soon after. If true, that kind of dealing with Russia used to be treason until Trump became dictator. Might covering up that be more essential than harms to girls and women which Trump is proud to do and get away with? But Trump gets much more uptight when Mueller, James Comey, and Democrats show he is a clear and present danger because of his deals with Russians and Putin for money and power.
How come this story is under the rug? What if it were true? Maybe the possibility of physical not just reputational harm looms larger about Russian oligarchs and Putin than about Ghislaine Maxwell and sex trafficking? Just questions.
