Our enrollment is mid October. They are trying to find less expensive coverage right now; but, said it still would be higher than what we are paying. Also it said that we may not be able to keep our same providers if they don't take the new insurance.
Got a big envelope of papers from them today; but, have not opened it yet. Don't feel like ruining what has turned out to be a nice day.
Make sure to check that your providers & pharmacy are participating in the new insurance, and check the medication formulary to make sure your meds are still covered, if not then you will need to find a new PCP, specialists and pharmacy. This can be a huge hassle for many people to navigate, it helps having a good friend, or nurse to help.
