Our community didn't provide good "visible" communication and would not release locations online unless we signed in. I don't know why anyone would insist on a "sign in" when we all live in the same community and this rotten situation affects all of us. Just a note to everyone: Don't instill division when there should be cohesion. If you truly want participation, don't put road blocks in our way. We've already been warned about Trump's new surveillance system and "hit list" (retribution and otherwise) and seen signs of it. I'm all about standing up for a cause but I'm not fool hearty enough to deliberately get myself injured or arrested. (Just a general FYI, no specific targets intended).

For you bold ones,- a quickie project: This may sound stupid, but try it. If you have a not so white, white T shirt that has seen better days, put it in a bucket of water with turmeric. Use gloves because it can dye like henna and takes time to wear/wash off. It will dye the shirt a beautiful golden yellow. Just wear gloves and use caution as it can stain your hands or other nearby objects with splashing (so clean up right away). Hang outside to drip dry. A crafter who uses natural dyes like berries and spices (going back to our roots)..

Your economy will be stronger without the dependency on the US. You may not have more money (but I think you actually will) but you will have a strength of community that we will never have here in the US. So much of the economy here in the US is based on greed and getting more that you need (or can afford...our credit card debt is huge). Our biggest export is our consumerism and willingness to buy buy buy and without that we don't have much to actually bargain with with other nations. Whatever goods/products we were exporting other nations can get cheaper elsewhere. I hope that Canada does not get sucked into the let's make all the money we can frame of mind the US has been in for years....the politicians here like to say we have to support the farmers (but not small businesses or low wage earning Americans) because our farmers feed us, but that's not quite the truth...our farmers have been feeding China and Africa and other nations for years so we expanded to way more farms than are needed to feed Americans, destroying millions of acres along the way. And now there is no market for all that extra food. I hope Canada will take steps to see that that does not happen in our nation!!! Especially the depleting the land, cutting down millions of trees.

You are right to be concerned. No one in the GOP sees any value in forests unless they are cut down so, as with everything, they will do nothing to stop him. At least for now there are blue states where trees on non federal land will be protected.

I am from Washington State. I wanted to attend a No Kings event but I flew to Lisbon, Portugal two days ago. Today I learned that a No Kings event will occur here in Lisbon on Saturday. I will have no sign, but I will be there!
Lisbon is a wonderful city. I was there a few years ago. Try to see the monument down at the harbor commemorating the site where ships landed and departed. It's stunning. And do taste some of the Pasteis de Belem. They're delicious! Good for you on attending a No Kings rally there. Very grateful for the support of the people of Lisbon!

A new family moved in next to the neighborhood MAGAs house. They have a trump flag and the first thing the new people did was put up an FAFO sign in their front window. Makes me hopeful every time I drive by. Window signs work.

I'm disappointed the organizers here didn't do a better job of letting everyone know the where and when of the protest ( the news certainly didn't cover it and I saw no signs anywhere). When I checked online, the location wouldn't be released unless we signed in. Then I got suspicious- why would you have to sign in? Who is getting the information? Is a poorly secured sign in list going to result in a home raid for being a traitor? These are scary times when a lunatic is in charge and clear communication is more important than ever
