That's why I am cautious of some churches because of the power structure in their earthly hierarchies with mostly men on top, and tokenism to women. I've come across victims of abuse from churches who offer no true acknowledgement. Now some churches have gotten so wealthy, they've become corporations. I'm suspicious they have a hand in keeping Trump in power. Regarding perpetrator priests, some churches promote them to hide the truth; Or the church powers that be move the person who committed the crimes sideways to another parish to do it all over again to other victims; or pay victims for their silence so the world doesn't know the truth. Other churches do good in society they are kind to those in need, benevolent and church attendees will help strangers, and they bring the community together to support each other.
