URGENT Message from Meidas Founder Before THANKSGIVING!!!

I wanted to send you this urgent message to make sure you read this before Thanksgiving. I know you get a lot of messages and there is so much news we are reporting on right now, so I will be brief. No matter what you are doing on this Thanksgiving, I wanted you to hear directly from me so I can tell you that I am thinking about you on this holiday. I recognize that as the leader of the MeidasTouch Network, I am called upon to represent the network in public. But I always emphasize whenever I speak about this network that our strength is in the fact that this is more than a network — it’s a movement. This movement is not possible without you.

The courage you’ve demonstrated since last Thanksgiving is the definition of heroic. You are my hero and you should be proud of what you have built. We are now operating from a position of strength against the Trump regime. With your help, we rebuilt the way news is reported. With your help, we didn’t just fill the void left by the capitulation of corporate news, but we invented a new framework and people-powered lens to report on news and to tell our collective stories. We made sure to never ground our network in personalities but to ground it in the people. I feel the greatest achievement of the network has been to use the platform to uplift community organizers, organizations that support democracy, those who peacefully protest, and those who have stood up against the regime.

Sure, we speak a lot at this network since the reporting of the news inevitably requires the spoken word to convey what is happening in our communities, in our country, and in our world. But the most important skill we’ve utilized at this network is that we listen. We listen to your concerns, and your goals, and your experiences, and what you want to see the future look like. We’ve made sure that our coverage is a reflection of what you’ve always wanted to see in a news company — but what has never existed before.

I am seeing a bunch of articles from corporate news come out now that talk about our growth and how we get more views than corporate and cable news and all the right-wing podcasters and networks. Sure, that’s true, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t happy we are number 1 on video and audio charts. But all these articles that are coming out still try to frame us through a partisan lens, which entirely misses the point. The lens is a human lens. Our priority and goal is first and foremost to uplift the human condition. We lead with our values and principles. That’s what matters most. I know you know that, but it’s always interesting to see these articles and how they are framed.

I want to thank you for your hard work and perseverance. We have hard days ahead, but I am confident that together we will build the future we will be proud of.
