He did accomplish something. He proved he can get away with anything without following the law.

How classy of a POTUS dropping the F’bomb!! NOT! He’s an EMBARRASSMENT to this country!

Pat Robinson's avatar

But not to the the GOP Congress! They love him! All those folks that claim to be good Christians who follow the word of Jesus actually adore all the violating of not just all the Commandments and words of Jesus but just common decency. I'm getting tired of hearing Democratic leaders make comments that their GOP counterparts really don't like trump, they are just afraid of him. I just can't buy that. What are they afraid of...being voted out of a job they are required to go against every belief they have???I think not. There has been no condemnation for any of the outrageous and cruel insults to their fellow law makers such as Senator Padilla or the lawmakers in Minnesota who were assassinated (or even for recent active duty military who have died in service). The entire GOP Congress is made up of cruel individuals, not scared ones. If they were good people they would either take a chance and run on their goodness or they would just quit. They are not serving their constituents so they are not in Congress for that purpose. Somehow we have to do a better job of pointing that out to

Americans. Mainstream media which continues to be the way a lot of folks get their info won't say much bad about trump and they sure won't call out the GOP Congress for their cruelty so it's up to us.

MastiffSal's avatar

Pat Robinson Money and power, the two things that obsess America - that's what keeps them obedient!

Pat Robinson's avatar

I fear you are right, that there are more Americans who crave money and power than helping others. But I do believe there are millions who want to help others and I wish I knew better ways to band together. For me, being in an area where you might help your neighbor to look good to your Sunday school class, you really hate anyone of a different color and/or who is too underemployed to have adequate health care. One definition of news is newly received or noteworthy information and it seems to me cruelty and lying have become run of the mill activities and that the news media should in fact be reporting on acts of kindness (I do get to read about a lot of these on the Good News Network...no relation to the good news the bible thumpers talk about while making sure they do not feed the hungry or welcome the stranger). I would love to live in a community where those who have a competitive spirit (I have none!) strived to be THE MOST kind, or the most giving, where the person with the biggest house was looked down on for their selfishness. Well, maybe I do live in a community like that, it's just a community of one, me! I live on a small farm (not that I farm anything, but I have a horse sanctuary) in a very rural (but totally red) area. I try my best to show kindness to all the critters who share the land with me except ticks and horse flies, even I have limits!).

Diane Mouskourie's avatar

I appreciate facts above commentary. But where is attribution all the above facts? Independent, accurate journalism on any subject requires attribution or some backup othetwise it's in the same boat as editorials or worse media such as Fox. Anyone can say they're speaking but without attribution of some sort it doesn't stand.

Don't get me wrong. As a retired journalist I am a hardcore fan of Meidas but I want to see facts backed up with authentic evidence.

Pat Robinson's avatar

I don't think any of the observations came as a surprise to me as I think I read/heard them in other places, just not all together. I agree it would have been better to have started each point with something like "As reported by or in" or "As so and so pointed out when talking to such and such a reporter on such and such news show". That would indeed give the entire posting more credibility for those who don't know MTN as well would give us all better facts and figures to share with our Members of Congress when discussing the entire issue. Not that my members of Congress care at all about facts, they only care about what trump says to do at this moment and if he changes in the next minute and does a total turn around they support that too.

Christine's avatar

I have heard the same. “Oh I have a friend that’s a Republican Representative or Senator and they do not like Trump by but can go against his wishes due to possibly being primaried.”

Pat Robinson's avatar

Yeah that's the coward's way out..they know trump's policies are unpopular with everyone except the very wealthy and very indoctrinated, so this is an easy way for them to try to make the very dumb vote for them. Disgusts me. What is the point is staying in office if you are just going to rubber stamp anything trump throws your way? These people are not cowards, they are just very selfish and want that paycheck and all the perks of being an elected official more than they want to serve the people. At least where I live, a 99.9% trump area the Congressman is doing exactly what the voters want...they are all true trumpists, not just ones who voted for him because of any or all of his promises....they truly believe what ever he says/does is more perfect than Jesus. And of course we are the poorest district in Missouri so they continue to vote to keep us that way. And I know they will blame Biden or Obama or Clinton when they see their medicaid and food stamps cut and when there is no FEMA money for tornado or flood damage, and their home owner's insurance rates go up again because of the tariffs. We actually have a very very small number of undocumented workers here, at least in my county mostly because there are very few jobs where they are needed but keeping the border closed and rounding up innocent persons is a big deal, something they all favor, especially since it in no way touches them.

Destruction is his name. Lies and chaos are the tools of his trade. He is the human version of the accursed fig tree. There is a mention of a fig tree in the Book. The tree bragged about itself but was found to be barren. Because it lied and boasted it was cursed. The monster is above the law. At some point, we shall witness his power and influence wane and disappear.

His cabinet is already in freefall. We know them by the "fruits of their labor." Evil, demented, corrupt, and perverse are the characteristics of MAGATS.

We the People have been deceived. What we are seeing today is an apostasy in the making. There is nothing even remotely beneficial to everyday hard-working Americans. The elites prosper at our expense.

When he is defanged, we will see who among them will denounce him in an attempt to garner favor with MTN and the Meidas Mighty. The message to them should be, "No hiding place!" Let them be cast out into utter darkness without a way back to us. Forgive--yes. Forget and welcome back into the fold? Never.

You have to remember who is running the show and have threatened every representative and that is The Heritage Foundation. Trump is just their golden nugget. You also have Curtis Yarvin, Stephen Miller, Thiel, Vance just to name a few. There are approximately 177 Heritage members in Trump's cabinet. They sit quietly behind the scenes.

Julia's avatar

Boycott Hobby Lobby, a major source of Heritage funding.

4sq's avatar

Already done, have only been in won of those a couple of times. There are also other things to boycott. Please present a list again. It's been a long time since the last list.

Sue you are correct. Trump has been the empty soulless

There will be more bad news before this is over and each of Us need to be emotionally strong for our country. 🗽

He will be the one causing a nuclear incident, because he cannot contain his emotions, and there is nobody that is going to stop him. The law is clear, the constitution is clear, so why are courts allowing this to continue, and also due to a recent conviction, why is his suitability for the position not in question? It doesn't come under immunity. It's basic job description and suitability to hold office. He is sending people to countries they don't belong in, for life, for less. They can't even speak those languages, which is rarely mentioned. His cruelty has no bounds, imo.

That is plain irresponsible journalism!

I appreciate you guys SOOO MUCH!! Yall are great 🤍

Richard Waddell's avatar

All those stories such as 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf,' that plainly point out the consequences of lying, cheating, stealing, influencing others to follow suit, etc.,

they are not false, even though the actual stories are fiction. Lessons we learn at an

early age are designed by their simplicity to be fully grasped AND remembered.

Ignoring these lessons comes with a terrible price.

Nina's avatar

Same here! I started hearing it EVERYwhere, but I knew better. How can they put stuff out on the word of a pathological liar? Why they don't learn is a mystery.

MrsCQ's avatar

I stopped being shocked by the MSM in 2016. I remember the exact moment. It was when, I believe it was CNN, showed Trump's gaudy plane on the tarmac for what seemed like forever instead one of Hillary's speeches. Then, they did switch it to a corner shot while they did other news. I will repeat, they showed his plane. Who can forget Mika and Joe airing the phone calls with Trump when he would call in?

Auriella Ravenwood's avatar

Let’s not forget that Iran has resources we don’t have but we need. It’s in the playbook “you have resources we need but you won’t let us have them so we’re going to ‘liberate’ you” the wealthy and powerful

create a problem then pretend to fix the problem so taking the resources won’t look like stealing and colonizing.

Richard Waddell's avatar

Sharing and helping others is supposed to be how we go about living, even when dealing with major issues and difficult people...provided we are learning about people who are different from us, even/especially in small ways.

Cathy Delia's avatar

Sharing and helping are not in Trump's vocabulary unless he is helping himself to our hard earned money.

Pat Robinson's avatar

Not in the vocabulary of one single member of the GOP Congress either. Rather they focus on how cruel can they be, how much can they do the opposite of what Jesus told them to do...instead of lets use our ridiculous abundance of food to you know feed the hungry, let's just stop it, don't tell them and let the food rot. Do they all believe Jesus is proud of them for that? And for heaven's sake let's not use or resources as the richest nation in the world to heal our sick...let's take away health care and give more money to the ultra rich....again do they believe that make's Jesus proud?

Pat Robinson's avatar

You are 100% correct but there are millions of us who are indeed kind and compassionate, and even if not followers of Jesus or any religion believe in those things like feeding the hungry and some how through all this and whatever happens we have to stand together and show our kindness to one another. A recent study on flourishing found that the nation in which people are flourishing the most is Indonesia, not a nation often thought of as a hotbed of personal contentment, and for sure not one with one of the highest financial standards of living. But they have a great sense of community and social connections. I while back I read a book called Don't Come Back and it's sort of a travelogue and the author goes to several what we would call underdeveloped nations and he found the happiest persons to be in some of those nations, including Cuba. I'll be honest I would have never thought that. But the folks he interacted with that were happy had a sense of belonging, a sense of community. They take care of each other and that purpose in their lives brings happiness, not the material things they may or may not have. Somehow, no matter what happens, we need to be that community for each other, even if we are not in the same town. It would be wonderful if we had leaders who had integrity, who spoke like we want our children/grandchildren to speak, who put caring for others first, but we don't and Republicans will never change so we have to do or best to be that light in the world for others less fortunate than we are. Do you suppose all the preachers in all these maga churches encourage their congregation to use the F word? I guess they do. As well as pussy not referring to a kitty. And suckers and losers referring to military personnel. All really strange to me.

This all seems to coordinate too me by trump, Putin, Iran. This is all a show so trump can stay in power and suspend elections

Not to neglect what happen at NATO yesterday they have increased the percent of GDP spent on militarization from 1.5/2 percent to 5 percent by 2029 for all member nations. Who will NATO buy those weapons from? Who destabilized the globe enough to get NATO to make this leap. Trump! There is a big story here.. along with the crisis to crisis flux in markets are making Trump and his ilk very very rich!

WJB Motown's avatar

Canada is signing aggrements with NATO, bypassing CHEETO..

Hopefully we flush the F-35 deal an get a state of the art plane from europe.

Susan Raquel's avatar

It would be nice if your questions were answered.

This report says "Before this week's annual NATO summit had even begun, allies reportedly agreed on Sunday to hike their defense spending to 5% of gross domestic product (GDP) by 2035. Getting to that target, however is another matter.

The 5% figure is made up of 3.5% of GDP that should be spent on "pure" defense, with an extra 1.5% of GDP going to security-related infrastructure, such as cyber warfare capabilities and intelligence.

https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/business/money-report/nato-wants-allies-to-spend-5-of-gdp-on-defense-this-chart-shows-how-hard-it-could-be/3774729/

This report says "NATO boss Mark Rutte has proposed to reach the target by boosting NATO's core defence spending goal from 2% to 3.5% of GDP and spending an extra 1.5% on related items like cyber security and adapting roads and bridges for military vehicles."

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/nato-countries-approve-hague-summit-statement-with-5-defence-spending-goal-2025-06-22/

WJB Motown's avatar

Prime Minister Carney knows European leaders. Nato leaders have made a smart move by cutting the meetings to a day. This will undermine Cheetos standard act of being the total ass-wipe in the room.

Anne's avatar

It's reasonable to think that many informal talks of NATO spending came up at our G7 in Kananaskis recently too. Some of whom are both NATO and G7 members. I'm sure many conversations are also happening around the world, among many economic and strategic partners that have no trust in USA anymore. The world won't wait for America to come to its senses, action is required now.

WJB Motown's avatar

Really great points top down. The world cannot afford to wait for a country that is on a death spiral into total darkness.

USA is a drowning person that must be kicked off in order to save oneself.

I think Nicole may try to be a bit more professional and keep her facial expressions under control, but one reason I love both of them is their facial expressions! Interesting idea. Would that involve dusting off the old Republican ideals and reviewing what they were intended to be, as distinct from opposing parties? We can use the conservative/liberal terms only so far, and they quickly become just a label;

and maga is not republican, it's a single entity with few socially redeeming qualities,

and needs to go the way of the dodo.
