Thank you Ben for this positive energy and message this morning. It can get overwhelming and sometimes disappointing that this MFer gets away with everything and he’s almost 80. Any justice he possibly faces will not be enough since he will leave this world soon enough.
We need to stay focused and strong and work to ensure that our next leader projects strength but also empathy and embraces our allies. That will be the greatest test of nation.
I think today America is at the point now where drastic and decisive action is needed. Here in France there was a revolution and things changed for ever. When the French don’t like what the government is doing they take to the streets and make their feelings felt and very quickly the government responds and changes it’s behavior.
If you want to restore democracy and rid yourselves of this Orange nightmare dictator you will have to revolt against this regime in great numbers and with courage and determination.

Some of the hurdles we still have to overcome in the US are racism, poverty, and a lack of access to varied viewpoints via a decent educational system in some parts of our country, among other things.
When some of our European neighbors think of us, do they see us as a monolith? With over 350 million people here, of diverse backgrounds, it is often difficult to come to a consensus on anything.

I also have to call out Governors Newsom, Pritzker and Hochul and say how proud of them I am. I sent an email to Governor Hochul telling her how proud I am of her and that I fully support her. I need to send an email to Governor Newsom and Pritzker saying the same. I did send an email telling Governor Abbott that I think he is evil and cruel. I used a few other words as well. If nothing else, New York and the States to the east could join Canada. Free healthcare, gun control and legalized marijuana - not that I can do marijuana. Not chasing my head down the road again.

I myself have missed events because I hadn't heard about them and I actively look for them. Personally, I don't know who Malcolm Nance is, for his words have not yet reached me. But if he's supporting the resistance, we need more people like Nance using his words to call for more massive movement. I ask everyone to use their words to educate the unaware. I ask everyone to do what they are capable of doing, nothing more. Some people cannot physically rise to attend a rally, others cannot afford to boycott billionaire oligarch businesses.
Most of us can use our words:
~ spoken to friends, neighbors or a stranger standing next to you waiting somewhere
~ written by hand or on a computer to mail or email to publications, representatives or citizens
~ texted to individuals or posted on social media

We are proud of our independence and culture and the only association most of us here in the government are ok with is the geographical proximity. Let's say that this Andreesen guy does buy out substack for the sole purpose of shutting down MTN and all our voices. There are other alternatives. There is also YouTube. And let's not forget all the Internet providers who let you set up your own website which you can post text, video, etc.
All is a ways off from being lost. Last article I read about Andreesen is that he invested in Substack some time ago. Substack is a privately owned company. Just because someone wants it doesn't mean they will get it. Besides, if the people that created substack can create this type of forum, then someone else will come along and replace it if it is taken away, just like BlueSky came along when musk bought and ruined Twitter.
