My father died from end stage dementia. The doctor warned us that he could become very mean. Pre dementia, he had anger issues. Dementia enhances their personality so it's not a "side dish". The brain slowly dies. My friend use to study the brain for her work and their behavior for the day or minute depends on which part of the brain is firing. Fred Trump became meaner as his Alzheimer's progressed.

The psychologist, John Gartner, Ph.D, also notes Trump has phonemic paraphasia, which people with both Alzheimer’s and frontotemporal dementias show. The patient doesn’t remember a specific word, and substitutes one that sounds correct to them, like using wishdasher for dishwasher. With frontotemporal dementia, personality disorders are worsened and become more pronounced. I agree Trump has NPD and antisocial personality disorder (sociopathy.)It explains a lot about his disregard for other people, including his three wives, his children, and the way he taught Donald Jr. Eric, and Ivanka how to be effective grifters. It also explains how Trump expects loyalty to himself without granting it to others. Trump doesn’t hesitate to backstab anyone who is loyal to him.
There is a YouTube video in which a British radio host interviews Dr. Gartner about Trump’s potential dementia. Dr. Gartner is careful not to personally diagnose Trump, but explains what he sees in viewing videotapes of Trump’s physical movements and his speeches. It might make interesting watching.
What I want to hear is an opinion from more than one Psychiatric MD
(Psychiatrist) about what they think is going on. Psychologists are a great resource, however they do not have the professional Gravitas of a State Licensed Psychiatrist.
This is true, but as Mary Trump noted in “Too Much and Never Enough,” she doesn’t see her uncle ever voluntarily agreeing to undergo psychological testing (MMPI, etc.,) or a mental health evaluation by a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist could only diagnose him by an interview and testing. Trump doesn’t think anything’s wrong with him. Maybe the only thing which would compel compliance would be a court ordered psychiatric exam.
I definitely agree with what’s needed to settle the matters of Trump’s personality disorders and dementia, but explained what it would take to do it.
Who knows, if the world is lucky he might succumb to the inevitable stroke that's on it's way, it's an angry man thing; my dad was a belligerent bully and permanently angry, his sense of humour seems to have been surgically removed at a young age. I didn't go to the funeral.
