Optimism is essential if you want to solve a difficult problem. You need to have faith that the problem is solvable or you won't even look for answers that work for you. You need to have hope that the universe does not close all paths to all the solutions, in this case hope that some people will do the right things and not simply be stupid, greedy or cowards. And finally you need determination to keep pushing forward, regardless of the difficulties. If you do these things, most every problem in the universe is solvable, and no Trump is not God, he is not 'unstoppable', he is not 'all powerful', he is an old man, a criminal who got caught, he is mentally falling apart and the illusions that were created around him are coming undone.

But it IS urgent that we fight against the trump/gop regime and when we stop calling it urgent, we will be normalizing things, and saying, oh, here's one more now normal thing we need to talk about. And it's also important that we are made aware of "wins" to remind us that hard work does lead to success. For me, it is important that I give attention to a small win like MTN/Ben getting an award for hard work. Would I have read this without the urgent in the title...I don't know. I live an hour north of Palm Springs in the high desert of the Morongo Basin (San Bernardino County), which is also a red-leaning area with a useless Republican congressman. My town and neighborhood are full of Magats and I was feeling quite alone. It wasn’t until our No Kings rallies in Joshua Tree this year, that I realized we are surrounded by like-minded Blue allies. This gave me the strength to keep fighting. Step one is replacing our R congressman with a progressive Democrat next November. We can do it! 💪🏼💙

It was heartening to see so many people turn out and also the honking of cars that passed us. Only one negative, a beat up motorhome came by with a cardboard MAGA sign… it felt good, empowering.

But we have seen the people, not in is country rally against this corrupt regime, but around the globe. We have seen the rise in independent media and its growing support for honesty and democracy.
The regime thought they would have complete compliance from everyone by now. But they have failed and will continue to fail.
