And then there is the part about selling our Public lands to greedy corporate investors. Approximately half of all existing Public lands. Of course again, to finance the tax cuts for those same greedy one per centers. (they say it is for affordable housing ha ha ha ha.)
The selling of our public lands to investors makes me cringe and ill at the same time. Those federal lands and National Parks belong to us not the President and his lackeys to do with whatever they want. We have to save the land. And as an aside I read they are going to let "haunters" in Alaska to bait the bears for trophy hunting. Criminals all of them
Question for the parliamentarians in the group. Supposedly all of these non-finance related measures are automatically excluded from the reconciliation bill. So why are we still hearing about the measures such as disallowing judges to provide contempt orders? When does the Senate parliamentarian rule on these things?
I have never had so much credit card debt, as I have this year!!! My Social Security payment cannot pay all my bills. Since I needed to buy another car, ( used of course), I use a credit card for groceries, medications, and gas. Everything has gone up! I used to redeem extra from my Retirement fund, but now that has lost so much value, I can't take out too much, because there won't be enough left get interest on....😟
Mr. tRUMP, why are you destroying the economy that we had!?!? If this continues more families will be homeless, sicker, angrier.... Please, help the citizens who pay their taxes so the government can function... The money we pay in taxes, should be to benefit the community...
I simply don’t understand the cruelty. Why, when they can see the results of their actions. They hate the people so much they want them living on the streets. Unbelievable.
Donald Trump hates All of America or anyone else once he has used them for what he needs or wants, Just look at the last 10 years, once this loser come into power.
Affordable to the RICH ONLY and screw the rest of us under dumb trump, Write and call your congress and Senate and tell them to turn against Trump NOW.

History doesn’t repeat itself but it certainly rhymes Herbert Hoover presided over the calamitous equity market collapse of 1929 and then ushered in the Smoot Hawley tariffs in 1931 A year later the American electorate had enough and FDR was elected into office In that same decade the growing influential Nazi party in the US began using the political slogan “Make America First”
Now the US electorate has chosen a Nazi solution after being lied to by Cheeto and his Nazi sychophants using the banner “Make America Great Again” And like Hoover Cheeto believes that the path to greater prosperity and solving inflation is the imposition of tariffs recognizing that the “golden era of tariffs” in the late 1890’s brought about increased wealth for the already wealthy while stiffing the middle class It’s a classic Reagan “trickle down economics” ploy and has proven in studies over decades not to work
But there’s a gathering storm for Cheeto Not only are his polling numbers under water he’s hard at work to push the dollar into oblivion and throw the country’s economy into default by alienating foreign investors to not only stop supporting US debt but reducing equity investment as well(sharp drop in the stock market)
It will take time but during Cheeto’s term it will become clear that Cheeto will be “Hoovered” by the American electorate
I really like your comparison of the current Administration's economics to that of Herbert Hoover. Isn't it amazing that if Cheeto had listened to any respected academic or banking economist - instead of the gang of sycophants and Fox news hosts that surround him, he might have found this out. As it is - with these eerily similar conditions, we can expect the same kind of economy we got in 1932, aka the Great Depression. I also agree with Richard and Rob's comments that trying to kill clean energy and sell off our national parks and assets is an obvious attempt to soften the blows from his tariffs and increasing the national debt. However, selling the Grand Canyon and pumping gas and oil in Yellowstone won't be nearly enough to undo the effects of the GOPs unwise and unnecessary economic bombs thrown at our economy. Numbers don't lie, only irresponsible politicians do with the blessing of their blind (and woefully unaware) cult followers.
No idea what "D" in the singular with a verb set for a plural subject, but in any event, let me say that the only thing I like about your post is it is nice and short. I'm going to make the next one you post even shorter - by blocking your innanne comments.
Get the word out: MAGAs voted for increasing taxes on the poor and working class to give tax breaks to billionaires! MAGAs voted to cut MEDICAID to give tax breaks to billionaires! MAGAs voted to cut nutritionally fortified peanut butter paste to starving children! MAGAs voted to cut school lunch programs for poor kids!! MAGAs voted to cancel thousands of jobs in the social support/service sector! MAGAs voted to gut consumer and labor protections laws! MAGAs voted to destroy our precious protected wild public lands for real estate profit for the rich!!All because they are afraid of immigrants and are whipped into a frenzy over a few trans kids who want to play sports. MAGAs are morally wrong! This is not just a difference in opinion.
Seems like your summary of what MAGA is doing covers most of it. But, I would underline your conclusion that MAGAs are making a moral decision that is contrary to what MOST Americans believe - and trampling our way of responding to the world as well. Consider a recent vote in Tampa Bay, when the Clearwater City council voted to END a $10 million affordable housing project. The Council member leading the charge to end it asked, "since when does the government owe people affordable housing? And when did we appoint the government to take money from those who have it and give it to those who don't?" That sums up the GOP morality - if you call it Christian, then you would say it's extremely Calvinistic (God rewards those HE loves in THIS life), and you might say take the position that it's more idolatrous (worshipping golden calfs than justice) than Christian. (I've studied comparative religion for 50 years). I think this rejection of "serve thy brother" is exactly what Moses was complaining about. To me the land grab going on in the Middle East, the selloff of public parks and natural resources, and the whole swerve towards extreme authority suggests the People have lost their way - and chosen to worship idols rather than pursue the Social Gospel of Justice, Love and Service to the needy. Things change, and not always for the better. Let's keep voicing our concern and do what we can to make clear that if morality gets it wrong, the resulting politics will be even more wrong. That's may take anyway. Morals and sound thinking about humanity, and then politics.
Agreed. I feel that if we talk about this in its essence we might reach a few of the MAGAs. Essentially this is about right vs wrong. But it is also essentially a class war. The GOP won’t be happy until the very rich have ALL the money, ALL the choicest real estate, and ALL the access to clean air and WATER. We have very difficult times ahead with providing enough clean food/air/water for everyone. AI will complicate our survival in unforeseen ways. The GOP want us under complete control.
Do you think if we underscore the morality issue in discussions with MAGAs we can reach some of them? Or how do we become part of the solution rather than just arguing?
It's because most are totally ignorant about what's actually happening and didn't and don't pay attention except to the totality of the BS the convicted FELON RAPIST pukes out daily! For some really STUPID reason they think he's for them!!! As I've said before when the 💩 actually hits their fans they'll be screaming and whining!
Meanwhile, the senate parliamentarian, Elizabeth MacDonough, could rule multiple provisions do not qualify as a budgetary provisions and therefore are not permitted in the bill. That decision is still pending as of today, and the senate is not in session. The Byrd Rule restricts the inclusion of extraneous matter in reconciliation bills.
The presiding officer or the full senate may overrule the advice of the Parliamentarian. In practice, this is rare; the most recent example of a Vice President (as President of the Senate) overruling the parliamentarian was Nelson Rockefeller in 1975.

"Miami’s Hispanic Republicans push back on Trump’s mass-deportation agenda
In letters, public statements and social media posts, Republican lawmakers from Miami are pushing back on President Donald Trump’s mass deportation efforts. And even some of his most loyal Cuban-American backers are joining the chorus. At a bilingual press conference outside of the Federal Detention Center in downtown Miami on Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Carlos Gimenez said he does not agree with Trump’s one-size-fits-all approach to immigration He said cases should be handled on a case by case basis because every immigrant’s situation is different. “We are working hard to express our opinion and let the President and the administration know that there is a better way, a more just way, for the people here in Miami-Dade County. Because they are our neighbors, and productive members of society,” he told reporters.
His remarks come as several Cuban-American officials from Miami, at both the state and federal level, have expressed disapproval and fear regarding the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement and policies that heavily target Cubans, Venezuelans, and Haitians — all communities with significant populations in South Florida.
Here's an open letter Miami healthcare CEO Michael “Mike” B. Fernandez wrote the following open letter to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and members of the Republican Cuban-American Miami-Dade congressional delegation: U.S. Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart, Carlos Giménez and Maria Elvira Salazar.
"For decades, I have stood with you in defense of the freedoms we cherish, those we were denied in the country of our birth and found in the grace of this one. I know what it means to flee tyranny. Like you, I carry that history in my bones and that pain in my heart.
"But like a growing number in our community, I have watched with dismay as the very values we once found sanctuary in are now being attacked by a previously unthinkable threat — the sitting president of the United States."
AND then there is the provision that makes trump a king who cannot be held to contempt charges by ANY court! AND then there is the part that allows trump to delay or cancel elections and manipulate state election boards!! Why is NO ONE talking about that?????
I watched the YouTube video. For those that didn't I highly, highly recommend that you do. It is so insightful and the host says it in laymen terms. Such an awesome video. It also makes you mad at this diabolical regime that has taken hold of the United States 🇺🇸. These billionaire oligarchs are the walking dead.
Lots of economic insight into the May numbers. The bottom line from this analysis is that a) US economy is slowing down and the Administration is a prime cause of this (because this was not the case in 2024), the US dollar is falling vs other currencies and Fed borrowing will HAVE to increase to fund the enormous and soon to be gi-normous national debt, i.e., classic Trumpism - not paying your bills. For workers, expect prices in houses to be lower but mortgages harder to find, and cars and consumer durables going up due to tariffs. Finally, investors are losing faith in Investing in the US economy, via T-bills, savings and CDs, and buying speculative items like Crypto (boom or bust) and metals. Exports down, imports down - almost a classic redo of the economy on the dawn of the Great Depression. Great Gatsby fans take note, billionaires may be running people over and trying to get away with it. Not a pretty picture indeed.
The extremely dangerous aspect of this report is a thing UNTHINKABLE in our history. D will fudge or negate future reports.. we will NEVER find out the truth on economic data.
you may be perfectly right to be suspicious about the Administration's published economic data. They have fired or threatened many of the experienced, qualified AND I would add, principled employees of the US Government who handle the sensitive and complicated data issued by Labor, Treasury, etc. But, I think that independent banking and academic economists will be able to spot the unexplainable changes in the reporting and suss out the real numbers. I'm counting on that. And then the WSJ will have to make a choice on how and what numbers they report. That should be interesting.
And then there is the part about selling our Public lands to greedy corporate investors. Approximately half of all existing Public lands. Of course again, to finance the tax cuts for those same greedy one per centers. (they say it is for affordable housing ha ha ha ha.)
If people don’t get off their butts and defend these lands with their bodies, we will be screwed if the sell outs come to pass. These are idiots.

Yes. "Affordable" for whom?
People who can buy this and other lands: https://www.mansionglobal.com/articles/a-31-000-square-foot-montana-castle-with-10-bedrooms-and-19-bathrooms-129362

The underbelly of Trump power is in the senate. Senate majority leader Thune is under tremendous pressure. https://www.yahoo.com/news/senate-gop-leader-faces-pushback-100000271.html?guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9oYXJ0bWFubnJlcG9ydC5jb20v&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAMjAQmI0hSM_8wB1FewLF33x6inlZ8gnuFMeerV5PRUTIx5rluyLUWIoeuvqkOMCWwNSLuhFAbHU_T5cBZgNK5rYFCKNaj9GYpTac6RXX_f-z5n9Pvj-gAdsJxE0QIunY7nOAFXfiABNirnFCuRMiTj2pxWThFVlYWwrPDUspitL

On top of that is the Iran issue. MSM is not on top of it. Trump always does the wrong thing. This has to exacerbate the problem he has within his own party re Ukraine. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/08/us/politics/breaking-with-trump-bacon-says-he-wont-follow-his-party-off-the-cliff.html
If we intensify the pressure, maybe we can disrupt their rise before revolution or civil war become the only solutions.
I don't know if Thune is up to the job.
I can’t tell if he's holding the line against the crazy or fence-sitting.
Hoping he’s in SD for the 4th this year instead of Russia.
HOPE he's not.
