You remember the video where Bannon said that if they lose the election he's going to prison and the rest of them because he's not going by himself this is why they're trying to rig the election so they don't have to go to prison

S H's avatar

Nailed it.

Terry's avatar

Musk also told Carlson he'd go to prison if trump didn't win, laughing the whole time.

Hide yer children— it’s the Orange Fiend!

Pedophiles are not liked by prisoners.

SeekingReason's avatar

They lie without consequence. THAT is the problem.

Linda Friedman Ramirez's avatar

Exactly! And all those stupid institutions caving to his threats!

We need truth to power We need to see everything as it is unfolding

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

What does that mean as a practical matter beyond simply being an idealistic platitude?

Always with the receipts. Tremendous reporting Ben.

How in the hell do we wake up from this nightmare? I just can’t believe that there are not any sane and competent republicans who are willing and wanting to save democracy. Don’t they care about the future for their children and grandchildren?

Souls have been sold for mere pieces of silver.

The children, 😢 💔 breaks my heart, and i don’t even have any, but I was a kid and remember the simple stuff we had & things we were able to do and could do in the 50’s 60’s, they’ll miss a lot of magic. And, now with these fascists Nazis, what is their future.

Lastima's avatar

Good point. I guess it’s the nature of a Cult to ignore consequences.

Dee Joy's avatar

They're making too much money as trump manipulates the stock market and other bribes.

Or they're in the files too.

They're rich none of this nightmare affects them.

Judy's avatar

No, they dont

Boycott Amazon and Whole Foods.

Terry's avatar

I dropped Amazon over a year ago. Don't miss them in the least. Super easy to boycott Whole Foods. I don't have a clue where 1 is! I'm in a very rural area....lol

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Oh damn! I forgot about Whole Foods! That's one of my favs although I have not shopped there in over a year! Thanks for reminding me! Screw anything to do with Bezos!

Diane's avatar

I canceled my WA Post subscription, stopped shopping at WF over a year ago. I missed WF a lot at first but then added it to my list of places that do not exist for me like Target and Walmart. I cancelled Prime and started buying products from company websites and in stores. I look at Amazon only for product info. Next up right now is cancelling the Amazon Prime credit card that’s been idling in my wallet for over a year. When I feel a little deprived, I think of my parents living perfectly fine lives with no credit cards, buying only in local stores and watching just a few TV stations via antenna. They did subscribe to two LA newspapers and several magazines. I hope to live more simply but with the benefit of science and medicine. I don’t need the likes of Bezos in my life.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Terry just reminded me of Whole Foods! I haven't shopped there in over a year though and I won't be back ever! I'll continue to do my shopping at Wegmans! Although I do like Trader Joe's but I believe they are owned by Aldi? I think I read somewhere Aldi got on their knees too? I don't do WalMart or Target since the DEI bullshit! I still have Amazon Prime and Business Prime but rarely use it. I won't be renewing it for sure! I'm running out of of places to shop. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Terry's avatar

I just canceled our Bank of America card yesterday. We haven't used it in over a year, on purpose. For whatever reason, a couple companies still had it as my default CC. I was so annoyed when we got a bill and 2 companies I've done business with over the course of the year used them for the last subscription order on 1, the other, I bought a few things, didn't notice they had that card listed and clicked submit. Weird thing is, I had just purchased from the subscription place (my hair color) last Dec, and the other was Soma. I bought panties and bras in Jan, and in Dec, I bought pj's. In Dec, for both, they used the correct CC. So it made no sense to revert back to that one. I thought I had removed the card from everywhere. It is now! LOL

Being as rural as we are, we don't have a Target, we have a Walmart. We used to have 4 grocery stores when I was a kid. Smaller population too. I guess with the prices always rising, it ran them out of business. An Aldi did just open here. Aldi is a German owned company, they haven't bowed to trump. Not that I've heard anyway.

Diane's avatar

There’s two German Aldis. One owns Trader Joe’s. I don’t think Joe would like how they treat TJ employees. I’ve reduced my shopping there as Sprouts has gotten better. Our closest market is Ralphs. Go there only for something quick as I’m not impressed with their prices or their treatment of employees.

Think About It: 275 People Out Of 342.3 Million Americans Have Created The Chaos That Currently Dooms Us With Trump: ~50 Senators/~220 Reps/5 USSC Justices. The Clown Circus Comprising The Cabinet Serve Only Themselves And The Grifter In Chief

Trump’s two attempts at being president are near the bottom of 47 presidencies. Rigorous historical research suggests this does not bode well that the 2025-2029 time period will be successful. Trump and his many executive actions have brought chaos, uncertainty, dictatorial behavior, flip-flopping to the table since January 20, and his cabinet members continue to stoke controversy. The proverb “Hope springs eternal” may guide Americans inclined toward optimism. A second proverb—“You reap what you sow”—is a better fit for the president and the GOP senators who approved his cabinet nominations. Let’s face reality. A cabinet that ranks historically low with respect to competence, ethical standards, experience and other research-based competency criteria makes the U.S. vulnerable to a multitude of operational inefficiencies, policy blunders, ethical mishaps, scandals, conflicts of interest, conspiracies, and even foreign intervention. https://tinyurl.com/5jepjdzt

Anyone that can bankruptcy two casinos and 4 other businesses cannot be trusted. That POs taco has been kissing putin’s ass since the 1990s because he wants a hotel in Moscow. All anyone has to do is a little research on that pos. Look up his pos dad too.hewas arrestedin 1927 in NewYork City for his KKK activity. The bunch are trash. Melanoma is an illegal immigrant. She came here on Epstein’s dime or his plane, she was an Epsteingirl too, maybe even did the same shit Grisel did.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

Judy, I do not agree with all of your word choices but I do agree with the substance of what you state. Putin has Kompromat on Trump that rivals the Epstein drama. His father was KKK. His mentor was the fascist Roy Cohn. He uses mafia tactics effectively. No one crosses the Don (pun intended). He is a fascist racist. These are bad people

bessent and the agriculture sec don't care about U.S. farmers. They are both heavily invested in soy bean and rice farms. Great tax write offs. Not necessarily legit, but they exist. They don't care if farms fail, they will just buy more and enjoy the tax write off. They are parasites.

About voter intimidation: I was living in Philadelphia at the time that Mayor Rizzo had maxed out his years of "service" because of term limits in the City Charter. So his supporters put up an Charter amendment initiative that would allow him to serve another term. I went to vote - I was living in a 90+% black neighborhood - and there were a dozen or so white thugs swinging wrenches and ball-bats, menacing the voters as they walked in. None of the voters turned around in fear, and neither did I. "Charter reform" went down in flames by a two-to-one margin. Rizzo was a Democrat, and Philadelphia was a D-majority city, 2.5-to-1.

Rizzo tried voter intimidation. It didn't work. Unless ICE actually arrests, beats or kills voters, it won't work in this year's election either.

Denise LaFontaine's avatar

Why is congress giving ICE $$, republican Congress is destroying the American life, making us a 3rd world country. Republicans do your job help Americans!
