So we target their water supply and we don’t expect Iran to attack water desalinization plants of our Middle East allies? This is a direct escalation by the US targeting civilian infrastructure and extremely dangerous.

Patti Campbell's avatar

Tit-for-tat. The deranged and corrupt donnie, the draft-dodger, has the lowest intelligence of any elected official in the history of this country. He is a vile demon from the dark netherworld, masquerading as a human being. He is stupid beyond belief to think that another country will not retaliate when their basic infrastructure is attack. He started an illegal war and now the entire world is suffering because of it. No country should ever believe a single word that comes from the ugly round hole of his lying mouth. He creates chaos and destruction to every single thing he is involved with or touches. He needs to disappear from the face of the earth.

C Bowlby's avatar

The irony of djt is unsurprised!

Of course meaningless since we notice his lies

Uhh, we sane Americans note!

Cannot speak for maggotts

And it’s a war crime … but who’s counting?

Brother I surely HOPE SO!

Probably some of Jack Smith’s former associates at the World Court at The Hague

Gary Sharpe's avatar

Of course it is dangerous, and stupid. It is "trump conceived".

Wendy B.'s avatar

It's a war crime. You can't blow up civilian water supplies. Iran is justified in doing anything at all in response.

Barb O's avatar

And another war crime.

C Bowlby's avatar

Illegal under International law as well as USA law!

Oh well, elect a crooked pedophile ... etc!

Daniel Solomon's avatar

May/may not be validated. Trump is by far the worst negotiator since Neville Chamberlain.

DOD should want him to threaten to let Israel be Israel unless we reach a deal.

Treasury should want him to threaten our refiners to reduce domestic prices to destroy the Iranian economy, which is more devastating (and efficient) than an invasion.

Roy Richardson's avatar

Not to mention the war crime aspect of the Trump administration's actions. Why hasn't the international community started criminal charges in the world court?

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

I watched that clip with Wittman's fake phone call. These MAGAts are complete morons. 😂 Cheers for calling this stupidity out! 👏

Jennifer Kass's avatar

You could hear by the tone of his voice he was trying to act nonchalant, but his voice had a stressed tremor in it. What a bunch of wusses. Grow a spine and either stand up to the Orange Menace, or stand behind your sycophancy to the American public!

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

I noticed that too. Kind of like a tremble in his voice.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Yes! That's the word I was looking for. Thanks, Jennifer!

joannegucci's avatar

OMG 🤣🤣🤣🤣 It’s so obvious he has NO IDEA what a total idiot he looks like!

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

It was "comedy gold" for sure! 😂

L B Rose's avatar

Got a good laugh out of that clip

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

I was rolling while watching it 😂

JohnC-Va's avatar

Yeah, we’ve got our fair share of MAGAT idiots right here in the Old Dominion, Joanne. Had the redistricting vote results stuck, Witless NitWit would have probably been one of those going down in flames in November. But alas, his faithful witless constituents will likely rise to the occasion and vote his phony ass back in for another worthless 2 years.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

That's too bad he still has supporters. They are just as dumb as he is 😒

Rebecca Tate's avatar

Veep in real life aka you can’t make that shit up

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Targeting Iran's drinking water supply is a human rights violation. War crimes after war crimes after war crimes.

Robot Bender's avatar

It's an out and out war crime. Deliberately targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure is a war crime.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Yes, it is. The US is a fucking terrorist nation now.

ramonaj's avatar

He knew about the helicopter that went down, before he left for the Knicks game !! He doesn't give a rats ass about our military. Just focused on another shitty display of how hateful he really is.

Maryooch's avatar

AND ... he blew off the (reportedly) two occupants of the helo - "they're fine". I know I'm just a civilian and all, but heck, my guess is that if I'm in a helicopter and it gets shot out of the sky and I have to be in the water for two hours waiting for rescue ... I bet I'm not going to be "fine". He's such a flaming asshole and unfit to order our servicemen and -women.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

They're explanation makes no sense to me. How can the pilot and co-pilot be "fine" after all they endured? He's LYING! Everytime they say the soldiers are "fine" we hear nothing more about it. I'm sure there's more than "13" soldiers dead. They are lying and covering up.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

True that. He knew and only cares about his fat self.

Another big win in the South Carolina primary race was the 61% plus vote for Dr. Annie Andrews. She will be tough compitition for Lindsey Graham. We need this Democratic Senator for the benifit of the state and nation!

Jean Conley's avatar

Hadn't heard that, Alan. GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!! Someone has to get Imbecile trump-loving wimp out of office!!!! South Carolina has stuck with that idiot (and so have we) for far too long.

Alan Bornmueller's avatar

We have personally met Dr. Andrews. She is GREAT and down to earth! Dr. Andrews is a pediatrician and former congressional candidate. She ie attempting to capitalize on the dissatisfaction with Washington and her background in healthcare.

Jean Conley's avatar

Thanks for the info about Dr. Andrews, Alan. I know I don't have to tell you that we definitely need her desperately and are extremely lucky to have her! Many prayers that she'll make it! (Actually, she HAS to!!!)

Nancy Endersby's avatar

I still can’t believe Lindsey keeps getting elected?

"Trump went after Stephen A. Smith on Truth Social this morning, calling him a “low IQ individual” and “dumb as a rock”

Ummm...look in the mirror, you fat fuck! Just another racist rant.

RobWhitH's avatar

As we know, "low IQ individual" is his replacement for the n-word.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Exactly. He only says that about black people. Disgusting racist piece of vile filth.

Maryooch's avatar

(and women, I think....)

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Yes, he bashes women too calling them stupid etc. Blacks are always "low IQ" to him. He's dumber than a box of rocks and the one with a low IQ.

Maryooch's avatar

Hard to keep up on his racist ramblings.

N. Walters's avatar

"I know you are... but what I'm I?" LOL Trump is the ultimate dunce.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

LOL...reminds me of the late, great Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman.

sheryl jeffries's avatar

They ran on releasing Epstein files. Then they spent all this time trying to cover them up. Trump has made inflation worse with his hairbrained war.

Linda Harris's avatar

That article proved collusion on the part of everyone named. Since trump owns the DOJ, I am sure nothing will be done now; but there will be a future where these people will have to face charges for all of this.

sheryl jeffries's avatar

I sure hope so. What in the world is Laura Loomer doing with Pete Hegseth?

Linda Harris's avatar

The only thing I know about that despicable woman is that she has trump's ear for some reason and he follows what she says.

sheryl jeffries's avatar

I know; she’s a real nut job. I can’t only imagine what she’s advising them over Cuba. I believe she’s the one that started the whole Haitians are eating peoples pets rumors.

Katrina Nuciforo's avatar

It certainly did but they don’t care we all knew it and they knew we knew it. Deplorable’s every single one of them

ramonaj's avatar

Yes . TRUMPS DEPLORABLE SUCKERS. TDS

LHS's avatar

I noticed that Stephen Miller apparently did not take part in the meetings discussed in the NY Times article. I wonder why he did not. Does he simply not care about Trump and the Epstein files, or is there another reason. 🤔

Linda Harris's avatar

That is a very interesting point. From reading and posts, trump has always trusted him as his right hand man so even if he was not in the meetings, I am sure he knows just about everything involved with them. That is strange.

L B Rose's avatar

I think this is like promising no new wars and yet saying that he never promised anything. The only thing he was serious about was his own personal "retribution"....let's hurt anyone who has hurt my feelings!

sheryl jeffries's avatar

That's true! To be so tone deaf to the country he sure has a thin skin

Katrina Nuciforo's avatar

That’s his M.O 🤬

Unitary executive power in the hands of an unhinged malignant narcussist is the recipe for disaster we (and the entire world) have experienced in 2025-2026. Interesting that Bongino was the only one in the Epsten "situation room" meeting who vigorously pushed back on the double-down cover up "strategy." Just as distrubing is Looney Loomer going to Guantamo with Hegseth. Who is pushing Loomer's buttons to have her pushing Hegseth and DJT with her "national (in)security recommendations." Imho, Loomer is acting as an influential foreign access agent, in an "unofficial" capacity; truly she represents a looney tunes enemy from within.

Richard Waddington's avatar

For context, here is a partial tally of U.S. aircraft losses in this war between February 28 and June 8: one F-35 (82.5 million), three F-15Es (120 million), one A-10 (18.8 million), one AH-64 Apache (52 million), one E-3 Sentry AWACS (valued at roughly $700 million), multiple KC-135 tankers (62.2 million EACH), 28 MQ-9 Reapers (952 million), one MQ-4C Triton (240 million), two MC-130Js (228.4 million), several helicopters (???), and more (???).

So, on just the math (given in 2020 dollars - the latest figures available to the public) we've lost over 2.46 BILLION in aircraft alone. This does not include the crews of these aircrafts, the fuel spent to get them to their targets (or rather to BE targets), the daily maintenance costs or the costs to morale when their comrades find out they were lost.

We, as a nation, can not afford to continue this. The human cost alone is too high, regardless of the billions of dollars we've spent.

I will close this with a quote from a President who said this during his acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize (NOT a fake FIFA prize)...

"We will not learn to live together in peace by killing each other's children."

-Jimmy Carter

Jean Conley's avatar

All of our (taxes) money going to that useless war. Thank you for quoting what Jimmy Carter said, Richard.

Joanna Piros's avatar

Witless Wittman! What an incredible doofus and excellent work to Meidas' reporter for clearly showing the fake phone conversation. This is one for the highlight reel!

myhoopbabies's avatar

Can South Carolina really find no one better than that POS sycophant Lindsay Graham? Come on, my 4 year old granddaughter could do a better job.

Marliss Desens's avatar

His Democratic opponent, Dr. Annie Andrews (pediatrician) is impressive.

Jean Conley's avatar

Bet your granddaughter could if she was only 2!!!!!

Wendy B.'s avatar

Remember: it's the primary. If the MAGA choose crazy pro-Trumpers in the primary, that is a GOOD THING because they will probably lose in the real election.

myhoopbabies's avatar

So true. I'm hoping the same will hold true here in California. We don't need another Fox "news" dope in government, especially here.

Karen D's avatar

Interestingly, Graham had 4 primary challengers this time. I was hoping he'd at least have to go into a runoff, but he got 57-58% of the vote 😏. But the one challenger, who got the next highest vote total, was a wacko corrupt businessman, so he wouldn't have been any better. Our Democratic nominee, as Marliss mentioned, is very good!!

Old Man's avatar

The Situation Room attendees, they all know what is in the trump-epstein files. This cover up makes them as guilty as the dumbass they are protecting. Sadly justice seems a never ending circle jerk, so fucking frustrating!

ramonaj's avatar

It really is a damn nightmare. Worse than I ever expected would be happening since 2016.

Alan Mikuni's avatar

Are Hegseth and Loomer sharing a Gitmo cell? ... or to maintain at least some semblance of propriety... perhaps assigned to separate quarters? Or perhaps Cuba can stage a preemptive raid to detain and hold hostage Hegseth and Loomer (after all, how idiotic to visit a potential hot-spot) ... Cuba's leverage against potential future hostilities?

Chezzie's avatar

Oh, please please PLEASE KEEP THOSE 2 sickos there. At Guantanamo. In cells. Together or separately, I don't care - just KEEP THEM LOCKED IN.

Patti Campbell's avatar

Hopefully, the Cubans will imprison both of them and never release them.

RobWhitH's avatar

Gitmo is a US base that has remained on the island all these years of Castro et al. I think the Marines run it. This is where all the real and alleged 9/11 or ISIS terrorists were gulaged; a handful are still there.

RobWhitH's avatar

Loomer is not a government employee. Why is she on the trip? A little partying in private?

Teresa L.'s avatar

Praying over his tiny dick so Pete will feel like a big, strong, army man. Asking God to give him Strength to push his violent, racist, adolescent warrior dreams of himself forward. Praying for the courage to openly insult his Generals. In Jesus's name. Amen.

Sharon Herrick's avatar

Feminists used to ask: What about the word "no" do you not understand? Calling what is going on in Iran a "cease-fire" just goes to show that words have lost all meaning. Yes, I know, this is not a new observation but the "no means yes" mentality keeps getting worse. Inflation is good. Sleeping is waking. Old is young. Losing is winning. The farther we get from reality, the deeper will be the fall.

L B Rose's avatar

Just like Orwell's "1984"

Jean Conley's avatar

Yes, and it's creepy.

Sharon Herrick's avatar

Yeah. And you know how that turned out.

Teresa L.'s avatar

We can not believe a damn thing they say, unless they are threatening us with violence, loss of rights. Then they are speaking truth.

Nancy Richardson's avatar

Thanks Ben for this update. You deserve a medal for bringing the truth daily to us and the world!

I watched the clip with Wittman. I have already read elsewhere that Social Security will decrease in 2032 or 2033. The House of Representatives are partially responsible for the shortfall. They have borrowed from the fund with the stated intention of returning those funds but never did. If the retirement benefits of the members of the house were being cut, you can bet they would raise hell to keep their benefits. By the way those benefits are much better than what most people in the workforce receive. They need to shore up the fund. the proposed cut will be 20 to 25%, which will hurt people who depend on those funds. Try to ask the members of the House to live on ~$2000. a month, which is the average amount recipients receive.

For some reason they manage to find funding for wars we shouldn't have become involved with and erecting that monstrosity on the lawn of the White House for a game, building a ballroom (balling room?) attached to the white house, having soldiers march in a military parade for DJT's birthday, and rounding up innocent citizens and placing them in makeshift jails, among other preposterous things - undoubtedly a fortune has been spent on covering up the Epstein debacle. All on the taxpayer's dollar. Anyone else as fed up with this as I am? I'd much rather see that those funds be returned to the public either in social services that have been cut, including Social Security, go to supporting our parks, or to legislation that protects the public.

We need to get rid of these sickophants (sic) and end this endless chaos that they are reaping. FDR was right, tax the rich.

PS; I had to mention Epstein because we cannot let that drop until a thorough investigation is completed and the files released to the public.
