Time to hold Musk accountable

Dee Cee's avatar

Find state crimes and prosecute him for them, so that conviction is pardon proof. Then deport him to SA.

C Giza's avatar

Don't want to send him anywhere that he can fool people and gain power again...

Karen Rivera's avatar

Great idea about pardon proofing. SA is home for him. He needs Rendition to Haiti or DR Congo where he'd be miserable without his network or resources.

Dee Cee's avatar

You're reading my mind. You're right. I almost went back and edited my comment to send him to CECOT.

James Coyle's avatar

Alligator Alcatraz is closed, I believe. That would have been a suitable destination. Maybe we can reopen it for Tom Homan and his crew.

Karen Rivera's avatar

CECOT could work, but I think they must be very susceptible to bribes.

Elizabeth Wolff's avatar

We haven’t even held Trump accountable yet. Don’t get ahead of yourself. We need to hold all of them accountable every single last one of them

Scooter's avatar

Unfortunately, the Democratic party will probably betray the voters, and do nothing of consequence to hold the Republicans accountable for their crimes, especially if Jeffries and Schumer are chosen as the supposed "leaders".

Mike Hammer's avatar

No way. Everyone is going to be held accountable

Perhaps emailing and calling them every damn day would bring it to their attention. I think if the people protest enough, it might get some traction. At the least. the Republicans should be investigated.

I wonder if that was the reason for the meeting between djt jr. and Jeffries last month to go easy on them and 47.

James Coyle's avatar

This is one of my main fears. And when the voters see that nothing has been done to hold the high-ranking malefactors accountable, they will think that 2028 doesn't matter. And a lot of those voters will be susceptible to the wiles of the next charlatan.

Dee Cee's avatar

It might be easier to start with the people who enabled him. Send a message to all of those who have.

I know it's just me and it's not legal, but I really don't care where that mf lives or how -- I just want his wealth liquidated and applied to the national debt. It won't even make a dent in what we owe, but at least it would help.

He's gonna off himself with ketamine soon enough.

Yes, we hope he over doses ASAP

We hate you ,go back to where you came from, illegal alien

Penny Thibeaux's avatar

Send him back to South Africa

Take all the government contracts back.....

Isn’t it delicious that he and his companies now live in a Democratic state?

I'm extremely happy about many results but what REALLY makes me happy is seeing Susan Collins unseated! 😂👏🥳💙

Dee Cee's avatar

Hi Joanne! I was really happy about that too. I was also happy that our local pipsqueak Kevin Kiley (fake "I") was tossed. And thrilled that Elaine Luria won her seat back after losing it last time around.

ETA: Elaine Luria was excellent and highly effective on the January 6 committee and paid a price for it. She didn't deserve to lose her seat in the first place. She's a fighter that we need!

Kate's avatar

I am so freaking happy that David Crowley won!!! He just made history by becoming Wisconsin's first Black governor. This is a great day for the Blue Tsunami. I had to take a few minutes to sob I am so happy!!

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

I'm so overwhelmed with joy that I'm at a lost for words 😆 Can you believe that? Me at a lost for words?

JohnC-Va's avatar

“Can you believe that? Me at a lost for words?” Nope!! 😂. Very happy to see you today, Joanne.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Hi, Dee Cee! 🫶🏼 I'm thrilled to see Becerra will be the new CA governor!! Makes me so happy! I'll have a Dem governor when I come back home to California in 2 years! 🙌

Dee Cee's avatar

I can't see California *ever* having a Republican governor again, can you? And we have a wealth of really good and effective congressional representatives in line to keep the streak going.

Come back soon!

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Two years, baby. Two years. It won't be San Diego Co. more than likely LA Co.

JohnC-Va's avatar

Yes indeedy. I have a particularly intense dislike for that phony-ass pearl clutcher. Didn’t realize how arrogant she was until this election cycle, but if anyone has absolutely no claim to being arrogant about anything, it’s little Miss “I have concerns.” Her defeat is especially delicious.

Dee Cee's avatar

She cast her pearls before swine and finally paid the price for it.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

Her loss is mouthwatering! 🤤😂 Bub-bye, bitch!

David A Pitock's avatar

Me too, she can show her concern elsewhere.

Karen Rivera's avatar

I bet she was very concerned watching the results come it!😂

Carole137's avatar

I absolutely agree, and also seeing Greg Abbott get the boot is just fantastic.

Alice G Williams's avatar

You missed another first: Peggy Flanagan, a Minnesotan who is Ojibwe, is the first female Native American Senator.

James Coyle's avatar

Thanks. I didn't know that. Here's hoping that the recent political successes of Native American candidates can motivate the USG to start doing better for and by the indigenous nations.

S H's avatar

I was wondering what it would take to get him to shut up.....✊🏾

We HAVE to keep the pressure on our newly electeds. Have. To. No more Schumer deals!

Bev's avatar

they need new leadership- someone younger & I also question whether Jefferies is good

Dorita Gordon's avatar

Yeah, I'm deeply skeptical about Jefferies, too. Time to get the same ole people out of leadership positions. Let us get some new blood to lead the party - people who actually "get" the middle class.

Leslie Perkins's avatar

Jefferies is young & he understands the assignment. What we don’t need is a Debbie Downer.

Leon Muck's avatar

Which assignment are you referring to? ... Hakeem Jeffries has received $1,576,452 from pro-Israel PACs. "What we don’t need is a "corpDem "leading" us while taking large donations from nefarious donors.

Rico's avatar

Oh please - he met with Kushner for crying out loud! He is a big part of the problem with the Dems. He and Chuckie both need to go!

arne link's avatar

All us voters need to keep pressure on Jeffries to do the right thing and start the investigations. No F'n Kumbya. No hands across the aisle.

Azuran Aurora's avatar

Jeffries is propped up by AIPAC and has no interest in curtailing Israel's genocide of Palestinians. He is just as bad as the rest of the pro-Israel corpo Dems and is not fit for leadership. Say NO to genocide.

C Giza's avatar

100% agree. The next thing tRUMP might decide(because he is always transactional), is to smooth talk the Democratic leaders into some policy and then pull the football out of their hands a la Lucy in the Peanuts comics. NEVER TRUST A CHRONIC LIAR/GRIFTER ABOUT ANYTHING!

JoAnn Britt's avatar

He will never b my president

KUDOS TO YOU ALL, MEIDAS! What a GLORIOUS night it was!

Now, let the GOOD WORKS BEGIN!

WJB Motown's avatar

Was Chuck Schumer at a funeral last night? What was he talking about.....red bricks????

Schumer is responsible for Angie Nixon losing by 1%!!!! He gave no $$$$ and no support!!!

Corporat Dems need to exit ASAP!!!! The people need to take control of the Democratic party!!!!

Investigate Jeffries about the meeting with Kushmer and lets bring back America.

Dee Cee's avatar
2hEdited

Please -- write your congressional representatives and request that at least Schumer be replaced. And Jeffries, if you agree.

There are several very good candidates for replacement.

And no more "strongly worded letters"!

Karen Rivera's avatar

100% in agreement Schumer has needed to go for awhile; Jeffries is already strutting around, but he compromised his credibility by meeting in secret with t-Rump's son in law. Was the one meeting someone outed him for the only meeting with Kushner?

Pat M's avatar

I totally agree they both need to go.

Azuran Aurora's avatar

Schumer and Jeffries absolutely need to go. Get these Establishment losers out of here and put somebody in charge who actually cares more about fixing America than the status quo and funding genocide.

Diane in Ohio's avatar

Yes! FL is a very expensive state to run in. They need to help those candidates out.

Patricia Waters's avatar

house ,Senate and majority of Governorships . it is all good.

Dorita Gordon's avatar

not all good. OK is still cherry red. Guess the majority aren't done getting it shoved up their arses, yet.

And DeSantis stood at Alligator Alcatraz …with Trump…and smiled! Don’t forget. He turned his head away from the concentration camps and do not let him forget. Ever.

Nerdyliberal's avatar

Spot on! Funny how he’s enjoying twisting the dagger in the back of Trump loyalists now 🍿, acting like he wasn’t one of them. His political career will never leave Florida.

Email I sent to my representatives.

(Senator/Congressman _________)

Congratulations on a historic evening.

Two requests:

1) Find and prosecute members of the trump administration for any and all state crimes they may have committed. As you know, these are pardon proof. Encourage and work with all state Governors and AGs to achieve this end.

2) Replace Schumer and Jeffries. Please. Schumer caved on the budget battle. Jeffries met with Kushner. In addition to affordability, the people voted for accountability. I don't have confidence that we will see the latter with these two. We need new, stronger leadership. We have a majority and no longer need to rely on "strongly worded letters."

Thank you.

Sincerely,

/s/

(edited to add: /s/ stand for signature!)

If anyone feels the same way, feel free to use. Thanks!

Karen Rivera's avatar

I like this letter! Thank you for allowing the rest of us to use it.

Dee Cee's avatar

Thank you! And thank you to anyone who follows through and sends it to their representatives.

I will never, ever forgive Schumer for caving when we had an opportunity to force Republicans to revive ACA subsidies. Ever.

And Jeffries? Kushner. Did we ever get an explanation on why he met with him?

Karen Rivera's avatar

Not a peep that I ever heard. Rather Maghat-like behavior, don't you think? Gaslighting & sidestepping

Dee Cee's avatar

Exactly. So much to remember, I couldn't recall if Jeffries ever even gave any explanation.

Max E's avatar

Why the /s/ like you’re not serious. This is the 2 things I think the voters were mandating a Democratic congress to do. It’s not bc we love the Dems. If they fail to do this from the very start, they will be voted out come 2028. Sad Jeffries can’t understand this. Or is he meeting a promise he made with Kushner. I just don’t trust Jeffries anymore. He’s a corporate guy, not voter-interested. Seriously, why would the 2 of them want/need to meet?

Cat's avatar

The /s/ is for signed or signature. It's normally used on e documents, especially legal ones. Sarcasm is /s.

Dee Cee's avatar

Yes, it's for signature. Sorry -- I didn't think about the fact that some people might see it as sarcasm.

I'll go back and edit it -- thanks!

Max E's avatar

Glad you didn’t intend as sarcasm. And thanks for the sample draft letter. These are the 2 exact things I want Dems to do. And they can do 2 things at the same time. I just worry about weak leadership wanting only one of the two. Hopefully, Garcia and Raskin blow past them and establish the rule of law. I worry why Jeffries met with Jarod. And Schumer has always been the weakest of the weak. I have a Republican 99% vote with Trump rep so will be writing to other D reps in the House.

Dee Cee's avatar

I totally agree with you! (And I did send the letter, with my real signature, to all my representatives, LOL).
