Thank you Michael. I am part of a group which rallies every Saturday in a red CT town. We had 700 participants for April 5. But last week 50 people age 60 + we have a good group of Veterans. We had hats coats and gloves. People have removed the yard signs in fear. I think we should all be banging pots and pans wherever we are at 6:30 pm. What ever time zone one is in and screaming. I am fed up and I am not going to take it anymore. Thanks for continuously speaking up

That is what I am saying, bring back the pots and pans banging every night at 6:30pm.

It will start slow, but it will build, people will catch on.

We banged pots and pans during covid for our healthcare workers.

People caught on and joined. It was BIG!

Hope coupled with focused determination and action is powerful and that is what we have right here in MeidasTouchNetwork country. Truly these young folks are a godsend. How gratifying to see this effort gain speed and spread across the waters to other nations!

Hope within the context of MTN is alive and well and the enemies of us all are squirming. Bottom line? We/they/you can’t be right if we’re wrong—and, We/they/you can’t be wrong if we’re right. God Bless MTN. God Bless America. 💙🏆💙

Yes, we have. And we have been told well in advance that we would arrive where we are today. "They're coming from the Congo, they're coming from mental institutions, they're eating the dogs, they're eating the cats, they speak unknown languages ..."

Yes, we've been through this before. If we follow a monster, we'll continue to loop in an endless cycle of wash, rinse, repeat. He told us who he was. He showed us who he was and some of us laughed at his jokes and name calling believing (falsely) that he--the Pied Piper himself was going to "get them" as he "Makes America 'Great' Again."

He laid the groundwork. He gave up the blueprint and he referenced his heroes and told stories about his "great friend" Hannibal Lecter. He rallied his diaper wearing troops and today we are living the result of believing "others" should be treated as "less than." The magic trick the orange guy pulled off is easy to see today. "Them" is us and, we are all nothing but game pieces--nothing more.

We had everything we needed to stop him following JAN6. We chose not to, and that decision has brought us to the ugly reality that "them" is us--and "We have been through this before." Unity is the only defense against the tiny minority of power brokers.

It brings me great sorrow and concern that our beautiful Jewish communities worldwide are being used as pawns by this administration to advance their political agenda. When, in actuality, our Jewish communities are being exploited: “ We, the Jews, are being used. Our pain, our trauma is being exploited to eviscerate the dream of a multiracial democracy, while advancing the goal of a white Christian nation.” Rabbi Sharon Brous.

Standing against what is happening in Gaza is not antisemitic. It is most holy and necessary to preserve life. Standing against what is happening in Gaza is not the same as speaking against our beautiful Jewish communities. Do not confuse the two.

I finally found an article related to your response. My God! What inane statements he made. I get the impression that he is stuck with the 1960 definition. I remember that time and that definition. But not being in the medical field or research field, I witnessed the expansion of the definition as well as the expansion of people’s learning that it was more like a different way of perception and approach. And that most were fully functional people who (in my simplification that I understand) just needed to find the best way they approached things.

Honestly, I think RFK Jr needs to take a good look at what appears to be major limitations on his comprehension capabilities and adjust accordingly.

But are we to do. Protest: we are. Writing to our elected officials: we are. Speaking out at townhalls: we are. These things are not making a difference! We need leadership and organizing. Media sources are dispursed and just telling us what is happening but not what to do. What more can we do? We political and military leaders to take a stand and stop this. The media needs to be out there giving the formula to turn the tide. Everyone knows what it is, but no one wants to say or do it. Why? Tomorrow will be too late.

Expand full comment
Elizabeth Cab's avatar

We will not turn the tide in a day, nor a week, not even a month, maybe not even in a year. We need to be PERSISTENT and do it over and over. No white shining knight is going to save us. We need to keep doing all this and encouraging others to. Be that thorn in their side.

Look how long it took the protests against the Vietnam war had to go on until it snowballed and attracted others. Same as the civil rights. And even more recently remember how the Tea Party started as a grassroots movement and grew pulling the moderate GOP party in the direction where it is now. We need to be persistent non stop.

TV media plays it safe. Substack, Bluesky and YouTube has huge voices and audiences. If only they would all keep reminding their viewers of both Indivisible and 50501. The organize and announce rallies, marches and protests all over the country. I recently moved to a different state with no connections and simply googled “protest near me” to find them. They will keep alerting you to upcoming events.

Agreed! I think all of the Democrats should form groups specific to one task, like a group on immigration, another on tariffs, etc. They should be raising hell 24/7. We elected them to their jobs, and they need to buck up!

I personally fear that the numbers at protests and such are starting to dwindle. There were several April 5th protests near where I live. Now when I look for April 19th protests, which were hopefully going to be even bigger, there's only a few. And I live near a major city. I worry that because all of these protests/writing and calling campaigns/town halls aren't working as visibly or quickly as we hoped, that people are starting to give up. I really hope I'm just being pessimistic.

I too often feel that way yet we should continue to do all that we can. Write to those you follow and suggest they promote those organizing activities. Ask their advice…what else can be done other than paying for their words. Not everyone can afford to pay for multiple subscriptions. I appreciate being informed yet it’s beginning to feel like an echo chamber.

Thank you Michael. You have done a better job than most of meeting the people of America with the urgency required for the current crisis we’re facing. And, by god, thank you for not once referring to the kidnapping and death camp as “deportation”. I’m so tired of left wing media spreading Trumps deportation lie. We aren’t allowing these people freedom in their own country as is with deportation. They are being kidnapped after a court finds that they need America to PROTECT them. We then placed them in a concentration camp in another country so that they can be tortured and killed. This camp is “missing” over 60k people according to the El Salvador government numbers, yet they also state that no one has ever escaped or been released. This doesn’t even resemble a deportation, yet that is the lie we are being told. Thank you, Michael, for keeping it real and urgent. ‼️
