We got asked this hypothetical by a user on BlueSky. They asked if Elon Musk approached us and offered to pay $10 billion to buy Meidas, what would we do? The response has now gone viral on BlueSky. Here is the full exchange:
I responded to Jay, as I did above, because I wanted him—and all of you—to know where we stand.
Even if this was a somewhat whimsical hypothetical exercise, we would never take any money from Elon. Ever. I don’t care if it’s $100 billion. I’m not here to amass generational wealth from oligarchs. I want to create generational happiness, prosperity, and peace in this country and the world by using the MeidasTouch Network to fight back against authoritarians, combat lies, hold oligarchs accountable, and deliver truthful news.
