My 1st time in Europe, in 1976, my friend & I were embarrassed by our lack of information about our government, which we learned from anyone/everyone we encountered in bars, at the beach, etc. The next time, 2003, I was horrified, watching the news & seeing the war crimes our troops were committing, which we were never allowed to see here. The next time, my husband & I were blown away by the solidarity of the people of Paris, who, like clockwork, started a strike against their government simply because they wanted to extend the retirement age, which of course, caused the government to drop the idea. We’ve been behind this curtain forever, & now it’s all propaganda, all the time. We’ve may as well be in Russia, for all the good our democrat politicians are doing!!!
