Breaking the law is nothing new for trumpf or the magats in government. Not that there haven’t been lots of other politicians of different parties breaking the law too, they’ve just made it a daily occurrence.
Hate to break it to anyone, but when it comes to Congress, the alt.golden.rule applies: "Who has the gold makes the rules." That's long been the case, but it got worse, much worse, after the Citizens United decision (2010), and even worser (??) after Trump was elected the first time.
Citizens United guaranteed the corruption we see now. Get the money out of politics! I understand that in England people stand for election just a few weeks ahead of time and they don't get bought by big campaign donations. Also they tend to step down when they are caught in something immoral or illegal, and a new election is held to replace them.
Now how intelligent would that be. We cannot look back but we can look forward. And I think we have learned we as Americans not not be complacent because there are apparently many others like Trump based on what is happenings in DC today.
They can't put off the signing forever. Republicans couldn't care less about protecting the innocent; they want to protect the guilty. Sure Trump will take questions; giving honest answers is another matter. There should be a way to penalize someone (ie, Johnson) for so obviously causing delay to avoid specific things.
