Let's talk about what's going on on the ground right now in the key state of Arizona. Now, lots of McCain voters in this purple state, lots of Nikki Haley voters, if you will. We saw the power of them in the primary. Now, Donald Trump continues to insult McCain and Nikki Haley voters. Is it having an impact?

There's a segment of the Republican Party that likes Nikki Haley, and they are reluctant to jump into your column. She wants to help. She said, if he calls me, I'm there. You guys used to be tight. In the last 18 days, will you call her and say, come out with me?

In a recent interview with Ben Meiselas, Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes shed light on the evolving dynamics of the 2024 election in Arizona, a critical battleground state. With voters from diverse backgrounds, including former McCain supporters and an increasing number of independent voters, the political landscape is shifting rapidly.

Fontes highlighted the ongoing impact of Donald Trump’s divisive rhetoric, particularly his repeated insults toward John McCain and Nikki Haley voters. Trump’s latest gaffe during a Fox and Friends interview, where he downplayed Haley’s influence and boasted about his primary victories, could be alienating these key groups further. Fontes pointed out that many moderate Republican voters are increasingly turning away from Trump, with prominent Mormons, including Mesa Mayor John Giles and former Senator Jeff Flake, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris.

Beyond the divide within the GOP, Fontes also emphasized the significance of Proposition 139, a measure to enshrine abortion rights in Arizona’s constitution. With nearly 900,000 signatures gathered to place it on the ballot, Fontes described the proposition as “wildly popular” and a critical driver of voter turnout in the state.

“The numbers we saw were off the charts,” Fontes remarked, noting the overwhelming public support for reproductive rights in Arizona. He also underscored the state’s long-standing independent streak, with Arizona voters increasingly favoring policies that align with their values, even when they conflict with traditional party lines.

Fontes went on to discuss the growing importance of early voting and the Democratic Party’s advanced ground game, which he attributed to the decision to open field offices months ahead of schedule. He explained that Democrats have made significant inroads with younger voters, many of whom are not captured in traditional polling. These voters, he believes, could be the key to tipping Arizona toward the Harris-Walz ticket in what is expected to be a closely contested race.

With the Arizona electorate poised for significant shifts, Fontes urged all voters to take advantage of early voting and participate in shaping the state’s future. As the 2024 election approaches, the race for Arizona remains one of the most closely watched in the nation.

It really shouldn't be close at all, there is no choice for reasonable people. An articulate, intelligent, conscientious, energetic, successful person with a vision for moving America forward in excellent ways vs. a convicted felon who instigated a lethal insurrection against the country/Constitution he took an oath to protect as well as defying the espionage act with the theft of top secret documents and who has nothing to offer America except cozying up to dictators, advancement of white supremacy, division and tax cuts for the very wealthy.

During Democrats, lower and middle class increase standard of living. During Republicans, billionaires become richer and lower and middle class Americans needs are ignored. That's a fact.

Period.

Can't wait to celebrate Harris/Walz victory wearing this funny "Kamala removes stubborn orange stains" shirt on November 5th 👇 🤣

Perhaps it should be pointed out to Arizona voters that a vote for Trump and Lake negates their vote for reproductive freedom.

I completely understand that many voters from various cultures don't completely identify with the "family ideas" portrayed by the Democrats, but what about Trump's sexual molesting conviction, multple affairs, and just the way he speaks to and about women? Where does he exhibit ANY family values?

Let's hope the polls are wrong and do not reflect all this good news. I cannot believe the race is as close as the polls say - either nationally or in swing states - when I see the enthusiasm and groundwork the Harris campaign is generating and how the Trump campaign is disorganized and faltering and not picking up anything beyond his MAGA base with the way he's behaving and not reaching out to swing voters.

I live in Arizona and I voted last week already. Filled out my mail in ballot and dropped it in a ballot drop box. I didn’t trust it to get there by mail. I already received a text confirming they check the signature and counted my ballot. Go blue!
