It started as a joke, but I kind of like it. As I’ve been bringing new independent media voices to Substack, the guests have started calling me the “Mayor of Substack.” It’s an “unofficial mayorship” for sure, since Substack is not paying me to be an unofficial mayor. But I certainly like the role—using our platform here on the MeidasTouch Substack to highlight great independent media and holding live video chats with them exclusively on this Substack. I guess that makes me the Mayor of Substack?!
Last week, for example, we started collaborations with Jim Acosta and the I’ve Had It Substack with Jennifer and Angie “Pumps.” Each week, I want to bring new voices here and host chats exclusively for our Substack subscribers. The MeidasTouch Network is the leader in the independent media space, so it’s vital that we lead by example and showcase the deep bench of talent we have in independent media. Our Substack live shows this past week set viewership records, so I think it’s important that we keep growing.
Who would you like to see me speak with next? Let me know.
Remember to subscribe to the MeidasTouch Substack so you get notified of our next live shows and help us grow—since we have zero outside investors. People-powered independent media is the future. So please subscribe today and help us hit our weekend subscriber goal.
I would like Kamala Harris to come on here
