In a major rebuke, a three-judge panel rules Trump overstepped his authority under IEEPA—invalidating sweeping tariffs he imposed without congressional approval.
Exactly! As the judgement said, “he broke the law”. As a convicted felon, he should be charged accordingly. Now let’s get that group of judges to weigh in on his illegal deportation of immigrants without due process of the law! And while they’re at it, let’s get to the illegal actions of the 🤡for accepting bribes from terrorists countries and for using the presidency to further enrich himself and his family.
START RENOVATING ALCATRAZ!! He wants the $400 million dollar plane for himself,…we can arrange for him to have his own private island along with it! ✈️🏝️⚖️🇺🇸
We don't want any of them in the Bay Area.... (but on a practical side...studies done long ago over the years have shown it would be prohibitively expensive to rehab that prison... building are falling apart & would probably need to be scrapped / rebuilt. . cells and more no longer meet safety and other more modern regulations; no sewage system (the original one was to dump it into the bay!!!!); PLUS everything needs to be transported by boat, back and forth. ... just to nip the "upgrade/utilize it again" concept in the bud..)
Agree - but it seems the worst things look for him the madder he gets with rage and it seems to make it even worse sometimes., i.e. the pardoning of criminals, etc. His response is always revenge, revenge, revenge.
Due to the Supreme Court ruling about having immunity while President, I’m not sure he would be prosecuted. However, he cannot KEEP assuming more power than he has. Tbh, I still can’t believe the Supreme Court EVER extended presidential powers so far.
It seems that SCOTUS is quite aware this orange scumbag has profoundly abused his powers and I wish they’d reverse that fucking asinine presidential “immunity” he currently has! They’ll probably say he was “unaware” he violated Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution as a Pres. act he committed!
"The delays created by Covid, use of encryption, attorney-client and executive privilege claims were unavoidable, even for the most obvious evidence. Take the tweet Trump sent at 2:24 p.m. Jan. 6: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage.” It was right there in public! But to present that in court first required the exploitation of at least two phones, nine months of fights over executive privilege, a 23-day stall from Twitter and two sets of interviews with at least eight different top aides. "
Before criminal charges are filed, everybody who has suffered from his illegal actions should file civil cases and drain him of all of his wealth. Then we can finish him off for his crimes. But the civil cases will go much better if they go first. I know this from first hand experience against con men.
It’s my understanding that the Supreme Court gave Trump protection from criminal prosecution. That does not cover civil cases which is exactly why I changed my effort to recover funds stolen from my parents. And, if you look at the hundreds of lawsuits against Trump now, they are civil lawsuits.
None of the lawsuits against Trump have been thrown out because of his protection granted by the Supreme Court. That’s because they are not criminal claims, so I believe that he is still liable in civil court.
Just understand that I am not a lawyer. But when I began the process of going after a con man locally, I was finally advised by the criminal prosecutors to go to a civil case and it was the best advice I ever had. We beat the criminals at their scam. Civil court rules are very different than criminal court rules. It was so much easier!
Precisely. They did mention it, MTN and Legal AF talked of it a bunch. Obviously not a lot of attention paid by people if it’s not blaring out of their TV!
I don’t think maga thinks that. They needed someone stupid in WH that they could manipulate into doing exactly what they wanted, and that would be Donald. They are a very sick cult.Time for all of them to go down
I think some of the MAGAs definitely think he is tough and manly. I do believe the rich MAGAs, the JD Vance MAGA types know he is an idiot. Just look at Marco Rubio's face and body language. It's written all over him. The real power brokers know Trump is a buffoon who is easily manipulated with flattery and money. Agree it is long past the time for them to go down. What a disaster right now.
Now he does. But before hand? Betcha not.....or his handlers and third rate attorneys figured the court was a toothless tiger and what could it do? Now they know. Hey! Al Capone was brought down by the IRS.
Those "attorneys"? They were appointed for their ability to kiss parts of the ogre's anatomy, not for their legal acumen. Wonder if he'll blame Stephen Miller?
💯 We are not the President or part of his "legal" team. I hope the Supreme Court grows a moral compass and doesn't give Trump a pass on this one with one of their rulings that only applies to Trump.
He loved the idea of tariffs. He, or Stephen Miller or Russell Vought assumed that all one had to do was invoke it and come up with the emergency later. There was no foreign enemy - that small print he left to the boys. He thinks he knows tariffs, he doesn't know the law.
IKR? But Why?? All Corporate media? Everyone is afraid to mention his name or cover ANY of the $h!t he does. If ALL of them were is stand up instead of cowardice they would give him so much power.
I feel like he slung so much at them so fast because he knows it will be a matter of time he will get stopped.. But my goodness it’s terrifying and really hard not to panick. So much damage in so little time.
It's not sexy. It's sort of like the oh, I don't know, the company's accountant. Mousy, gray, timid, it's where the family business puts the shy uncharismatic cousin. The judges that were appointed? They don't make waves, they just quietly do their jobs.
Until they remind the ogre of the law. Then, they make waves. Tsunami style waves.
Or 60 percent or 130 whichever is higher of the pubs in Congress need to be Expelled on the following charges: corruption, bribery, extortion, Aiding and Abetting in the commission of crimes against the US, perjury for starters.
I am now wondering if they’re going to step in and take over where taco left off, i.e. reimpose those tariffs because it’s in their jurisdiction to do so.
If they do, that is the legal way to do it. But then they have to individually vote yay or nay, and their constituents will see who is increasing their tax burden. I suspect they will not.
Well the republicans don’t care. But democrats do they are working behind the scenes in the red states at rallies because republicans won’t. They also brought impeachment papers and they only have to get I think 4 republicans to vote as well. Even some of the republicans want trump stopped.
But I think, but really am not sure at all, that the Senate has the power to ok the tariffs which they basically just did in that they refused to stop them when the Dems brought a resolution to the floor as per Roll Call, May 1, 2025 ("Senate Republicans thwarted an effort by Democrats to pass a joint resolution that would effectively end the reciprocal and 10 percent baseline tariffs put in place by President Donald Trump in early April"). I'm hoping MTN or someone will explain what this all means....will Congress have to approve each tariff trump puts on? And then when he takes it off?
I was wondering about that too. However that's before this ruling which shuts down the “emergency” farce used to enact the tariffs. If Congress has to be on the record with their votes on approving individual tariffs they will be crucified politically imho
I agree about how this will impact their votes, especially since it will be out in the open and there has been so much outcry about how the tariffs are indeed taxes mostly on the working class and most Americans now understand that. The outcry against cutting Medicaid didn't deter the GOP House from passing the budget but it may prevent it from passing the Senate (a few have SAID they won't vote for the bill but not because of the Medicaid cuts but because they don't cut enough and I imagine they will all cave when push comes to shove) but I think the reality is more folks are impacted by tariffs than Medicaid so maybe it will matter. At least with a vote there will be a record of each one of them saying yes they want working Americans to pay more for everyday products. At some point for some that will translate into losing elections.
Like any other legislation - through both the Senate and the House subject to veto by the President.
The Joint Resolution noted in your initial post would, by definition of "joint resolution," then be "jointly" adopted by the House, assuming enough Republicans in the Senate agree to cloture (we know that's unlikely to happen for any bill that opposes any stupid Trump idea, and they're almost all stupid).
If you read the entire Court of International Trade Opinion, you'll learn all about the process.
It's not as long as it might seem even at 49 pages - 12 point font and double spaced with wide top, side and bottom margins.
Lack of action is not an affirmation. Trump is not acting under Congressional mandate as congress has not affirmed his tariffs with a law. Targeted tariffs might still be managed, as Biden did with certain China tariffs.
I’m hoping that someone will post exactly how this affects the tariffs now. Are they reverted back to what they were? Does the de minimus go back onto purchases under $800 for China? And does the tariff amount go back to what it was pre-Trump?
Yeah that’s my understanding- also any tarrifs paid to the government need to be reimbursed- but don’t hold your breath hoping this will trickle down to consumers
Yeah, that’s the rub. He IS the executive branch. He is the THEY that is supposed to execute laws from Congress and Uphold Federal and Supreme Court rulings. So… I don’t like to be Eyeore but WTF. We need to wake up and smell the coffee. 🫏 ☕️
Similar to Trumpy Trout? Which, by the way, is a REAL item. The price keeps climbing.
Anyway, let's all join together on 6/14 to celebrate NO KINGS DAY.
Ben, thanks to the MTN & other independent media, I JUST realized that our peaceful, LOUD, and continuous civil actions can be to celebrate the victories when the courts -- and we, the people -- RESIST THE FOURTH REICH.
And we MUST remember Abrego Garcia & others.
We MUST remember our VALUED immigrants who are being TORTURED by DJT.
We MUST remember our veterans.
We MUST remember ALL the government employees who have ILLEGALLY & UNJUSTLY BEEN FIRED.
We MUST remember that in the usa, losing a job usually means also losing health care coverage.
Now charges should be filed against him.
I think Trump should trade places with Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador. That would be Justice Delivered.
Justice would be, to have brought Kilmar Abrego Garcia back when the JUDGE ORDERED HIM TO!
brilliant.
I agree
Sing it!
Sorry, we don’t. Want him anywhere near the SF Bay Area.
Fair enough.
Understood and don’t blame you
Amen to that, leave him on the East Coast. LOL
preferably in the middle of the Atlantic ... you guys don't need his stink either.
Yes exactly. Round up this rogue regime and maga, dump them all on Alcatraz. They can all live in chaos together and leave the rest of us alone.
Not Alcatraz! More like Gitmo! That would be a dream come true 😜
How about the gulag in El Salvador!!
Or Libya, Sudan ... Siberia?
yes, keep him away from the SF Bay Area!
Yes 😂 I second that
We don't want any of them in the Bay Area....
Remember it was an unconditional discharge. That means he is still a felon and the charges can be brought up at a later time.
You are going to spoil Alcatraz by sending him and his lemmings there. The stench would be constantly there. Better to have him removed to Qatar.
Thank you Sylvia, we in the Bay Area agree.
Another good thought maybe they would you know treat him as they should. Off with his head
I Hope your euphoria isn’t a bit premature. This snake oil salesman manages to wriggle out of every tight corner so far.
Agree - but it seems the worst things look for him the madder he gets with rage and it seems to make it even worse sometimes., i.e. the pardoning of criminals, etc. His response is always revenge, revenge, revenge.
and I still wonder how the immunity ruling could play out...
Oh I like that idea. So ordered
TACO BOY suffers from untreatable, no cure possible Brain Fog
Due to the Supreme Court ruling about having immunity while President, I’m not sure he would be prosecuted. However, he cannot KEEP assuming more power than he has. Tbh, I still can’t believe the Supreme Court EVER extended presidential powers so far.
He keeps shoveling that meme coin money to Thomas and Alito!
Clarence Thomas needs to be convicted!
I fully agree. I can’t believe how many sickos are in the world
It seems that SCOTUS is quite aware this orange scumbag has profoundly abused his powers and I wish they’d reverse that fucking asinine presidential “immunity” he currently has! They’ll probably say he was “unaware” he violated Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution as a Pres. act he committed!
Biden should have taken advantage of this ruling. He could have done something to stop him and we wouldn't be going down this road.
I love Biden, but putting Garland in to slow walk trump's convictions also was also a bad call.
Sometimes you cannot hire a leader that is too 'By the book' and thinks with his heart, but the alternative at the time was this evil SOB
We need a fighter with a strong legal background and conviction that stays the course to quash the unconstitutional flood of damage 💔
"Garland slow walking" is a pervasive narrative but I think it's important to take this into context:
https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/merrick-garland-isnt-blame-delays-trumps-election-interference-case-rcna141213
For example:
"The delays created by Covid, use of encryption, attorney-client and executive privilege claims were unavoidable, even for the most obvious evidence. Take the tweet Trump sent at 2:24 p.m. Jan. 6: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage.” It was right there in public! Yes totally agree
You're not alone there!
He ignores the courts. He plans to get rid of them and crown himself king. Who will enforce the ruling?
WE, THE PEOPLE!!!
Yes even if we have to drag them all out of the WH. We the people more of us
Malcolm Nance called out for every Kamala voter to protest in June. That would make it the biggest protest in US history with 35 million people.
The People will enforce democracy.
Yes yes yes great plan
Before criminal charges are filed, everybody who has suffered from his illegal actions should file civil cases and drain him of all of his wealth. Then we can finish him off for his crimes. But the civil cases will go much better if they go first. I know this from first hand experience against con men.
Can he be sued for the civil cases because of his immunity that SCOTUS gave him like a Christmas present, wrapped in a big red bow?
It’s my understanding that the Supreme Court gave Trump protection from criminal prosecution. That does not cover civil cases which is exactly why I changed my effort to recover funds stolen from my parents. And, if you look at the hundreds of lawsuits against Trump now, they are civil lawsuits.

How come nobody ever talked about the international trade court before?
The media is too far up his ass.
Precisely. They did mention it, MTN and Legal AF talked of it a bunch. Obviously not a lot of attention paid by people if it’s not blaring out of their TV!
I listen to podcast and read newsletters from trusted journalists who have left MSM. I stopped watching “TV” media a long time ago.
💯. I have to confess, I didn't know about it. I bet neither did Trump!
Oh, he knows.
You think he knew about this court and understood what it could do? Either way, TACO knows now!
TACO, 😂. 😂. 😂
😂 We have to laugh when we can. He is such an ass. I seriously don't get why MAGA thinks TACO is so tough and "manly".
Yup!
Yeah, Cindy H,.. I don’t recall ever hearing about this either,..
But then you, or I ,..neither are president of the USA!
He’s got all those attorneys ,.
It’ll be interesting to see,.he may just give his middle finger to the courts and continue with these tariffs ,..
Trump will keep pushing the boundaries until he is stopped. At what point will the Republican members of Congress stop this mad circus??
Those "attorneys"? They were appointed for their ability to kiss parts of the ogre's anatomy, not for their legal acumen. Wonder if he'll blame Stephen Miller?
💯 We are not the President or part of his "legal" team. I hope the Supreme Court grows a moral compass and doesn't give Trump a pass on this one with one of their rulings that only applies to Trump.
Oh, he absolutely knew. Just thought he was going to get away with it by enacting the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977.
He loved the idea of tariffs. He, or Stephen Miller or Russell Vought assumed that all one had to do was invoke it and come up with the emergency later. There was no foreign enemy - that small print he left to the boys. He thinks he knows tariffs, he doesn't know the law.
yep, they are so far up that rotten old ass of his til they fear the convicted felon.
IKR? But Why?? All Corporate media? Everyone is afraid to mention his name or cover ANY of the $h!t he does. If ALL of them were is stand up instead of cowardice they would give him so much power.
I think I'd heard it mentioned...all theses processes just take time. Wish it could happen faster.
It was talked about, I knew about it, but honestly Trump floods the zone 24/7 it is hard to keep up.
I also tune so much out bc it is overwhelming. BUT TACO got through. 😂
Adam Klasfeld/All Rise News has been covering this.
A. It only deals with arcane trade issues
B. It's only been around since 1982 (relatively young for an Article III court)
Thank you courts! ♥️💪🏻
YES and thank you Federal Court
Bout time someone stands up and stops this cluster f**k!!!
Congress needs to do their fecking job!
We know that isn’t going to happen!
Or 60 percent or 130 whichever is higher of the pubs in Congress need to be Expelled on the following charges: corruption, bribery, extortion, Aiding and Abetting in the commission of crimes against the US, perjury for starters.

Well the republicans don’t care. But democrats do they are working behind the scenes in the red states at rallies because republicans won’t. They also brought impeachment papers and they only have to get I think 4 republicans to vote as well. Even some of the republicans want trump stopped.
Trump’s devastating legal defeat is a beautiful thing.
What is bad for Trump is generally good for America.
This court order should be effective immediately. Send a cease and desist notice to customs that they may not assess any tariff put in by Trump
No, the Senate cannot act on its own regarding tariffs.
So, legally, according to the Constitution, just how does the implementation of tariffs work?
Like any other legislation - through both the Senate and the House subject to veto by the President.
The Joint Resolution noted in your initial post would, by definition of "joint resolution," then be "jointly" adopted by the House, assuming enough Republicans in the Senate agree to cloture (we know that's unlikely to happen for any bill that opposes any stupid Trump idea, and they're almost all stupid).

Hallelujah! 🥳 Thank god for the courts.
And thank the people from these states( mine is included) who brought this to the federal courts attention and sued!
Thank you! 😊
Well let's just see if the stores who already raised prices will back off now. Our coffee went up to $20.
Right on 💪
Well, I’m glad they finally woke up, but if they don’t keep pounding him, he’ll cause even more havoc!
I’m hoping that someone will post exactly how this affects the tariffs now. Are they reverted back to what they were? Does the de minimus go back onto purchases under $800 for China? And does the tariff amount go back to what it was pre-Trump?

Well can’t wait to see how the corporate suck ass news agencies spin this
Stephen Miller is already whining about the judicial coup!! Buckle up.
Shocker
Good hope they enforce it 💙
