Groups here locally in the New York area have been waging an intense pressure campaign aimed at Schumer, and we were thrilled when he said the other day that Dems would not go along with Republicans on the CR. I've made too many calls to count, the phones were down, we've also sent emails, and as soon as the phones were back up they've been flooded all day. Gillibrand, too, has been pressured - she seemed to be waffling. And even now people are calling as they're voting.
I have been unequivocal in my missives to him. He just doesn't get it! I've said he needs to resign. I've said he needs to appoint a different spokesperson who could actually speak effectively to counter this administrations coup and tactics! I am way beyond furious!
He needs to resign as Majority Leader, and he will be primaried - and he should be! Enough, already! The only leverage we have is not to go along.
