Under Biden we had rights, the administration let the judicial system do their job, separate from influence from the executive branch, and the economy was doing extremely well. I think it all goes back to how do we know when a brain is in mental decline? All politicians should have certain tests and courses to prove their abilities. If you want to run for a position, civic courses should be mandatory! If you are responsible for an entire Country and possibly pushing a button, cognitive/behavioral tests should be applied. If you cant or wont do these things (like show your taxes) then it should have been a “hard no” not an exception, from Day 1. The government should give a specific amount of money for a campaign and no corporate funding.

The answer to your question is neither president was working for all of us. Both of them were/are working for themselves. That's the nature of politics. Good question, however, even if he was in the decline then, that he is now made out to be, Americans were in a far more stable place because of the of him and the professional team experienced with government and the constitution that surrounded him.
I am of the opinion to leave Biden alone as Trump is doing far worse than him if he was in decline. Under Biden we had rights, the administration let the judicial system do their job, separate from influence from the executive branch, and the economy was doing extremely well. Trump and his administration are, in what might to some people seem an extreme opinion, “a coup”. The definition of coup, sudden (done within 100 days of power), violent (sending innocents to jails or confinement without due process), and unlawful overtaking of a government (not following the rule of law or letting the judicial system do their jobs and, as well, threatening legislators with primaring them). I think it all goes back to how do we know when a brain is in mental decline? All politicians should have certain tests and courses to prove their abilities. If you want to run for a position, civic courses should be mandatory! If you are responsible for an entire Country and possibly pushing a button, cognitive/behavioral tests should be applied. If you cant or wont do these things (like show your taxes) then it should have been a “hard no” not an exception, from Day 1. The government should give a specific amount of money for a campaign and no corporate funding.
Biden, had a horrific speech impediment. Speech comes from the brain. No matter how great the rest of his brain is that one area inhibits him. Under stress language is more difficult. Trump creates stress and truly challenged Biden’s abilities to quickly retort. I am not convinced he had additional mental decline, he had an inability to express himself in those challenging moments. Just my thoughts as a Neuropsychologist, that specializing in Language Disorders (and a very concerned citizen).

I saw this in person at one of his fundraisers in California, where my aunt and uncle are very strong Blue supporters. The answer to your question is neither president was working for all of us. Both of them were/are working for themselves. That's the nature of politics. That's why Biden's ego overrode his pledge to be a "bridge president" and make way for younger pols who could have won in 2024. That's why in spite of all data to the contrary, Biden still believes he would have won. Biden did some wonderful things for this country, but he is also largely responsible for one of the worst disasters in American history: creating the conditions where Trump won.

While I thought that Joe Biden did an excellent job as President; Getting us out of Trump’s Covid mess, investing $ back into the country/American people, assisting Ukraine without putting troops in the ground, investing in infrastructure, as well as many other good things however, that said-When a President leaves office and there is a question of mental decline while in office it should make news. I remember when that same issue made news after Reagan left office. While the mainstream media/news certainly could cover Trump in a more accurate manner I can’t fault them for reporting on the mental state of Joe Biden particularly when a major news anchor comes out with a book addressing that very issue. It is news. I don’t watch Faux and never have however I suspect that this same story received much coverage over there since it would help take attention away from trumps disastrous trip to the Middle East. I highly suspect that once Trump is out of office (I can’t wait) there will be an infinite number of stories about his mental state while in the White House.
