Are you doing a "adopt a sane American" program by chance lol? I'm in MI, we want to be Canada's next province. Pretty soon your government is going to deny Americans from even crossing the border, and I wouldn't blame them.

Oh I can't imagine that ever happening. We ALL know that it was about 1/3rd of you who voted for lyin' King Lump, if that. I can't understand why such a great number of folks didn't vote when there was so much to lose but it is over and it is done. MOST of us don't want IT coming in to Canada as there IS a law whereby Canada does not allow felons into the country and there is the meeting of the G7 in June. PM Trudeau has already said that it wouldn't be nice ...(sigh)....if he doesn't come but we are done being nice to isht. Not our choice to make. It walks around with such arrogance. Makes me sick.

He's so repulsive that he actually hurts your far right party in Canada too. I don't understand why people chose bad populism lol. I also feel like the Democrats in the states need to run on populism, because they will use it for good.

I agree. I told my husband that when my mom is gone, maybe we should consider moving back to his home. But, he's from the east coast and the year he took me there (in July), they had ice floating in the Bay. He told me that I'd never make it because Michigan winters are too cold for me.

HA!! Sounds like he is a Newfie and, if he is, you lucked out. Not a Canadian on the earth that won't tell you how great they are! Those bergs are just travelling through and not staying at that time of the year. It is mighty cold in a Newfie winter but there are a whole lot worse places to hang yer hat!!

New Brunswicker born and raised here. My children were born in Saint John and I love it there. Military posting brought us to Vancouver Island and, after the divorce they wouldn't go back home with me so we are still here. Best really.

The rest of Canada loves our Newfie brothers and sisters !! They have a unique character in the country and the world. I met many Newfoundlanders in Edmonton, Alberta when I lived there in the 1970's. Our next door neighbours were Newfoundlanders and we adored them! They have a strength the rest of us don't have and a very unique sense of humor that we love!

If you like skiing or sledding, you'll do fine! Lower MI doesn't get a lot of snow, but it is cold. Our summers are the best lol. We are Canada lite honestly. Minus the moose, we have a much smaller moose population lol!

I never learned how to ski and I hated sledding. Now, I'd be afraid to try, shoot I never managed to learn roller skating never mind try anything snow related and now I'd be afraid of breaking something. lol...too much arthritis running rampant in my joints.

people can adjust...they have warm clothes for winter, maybe your hubby thinks it's a frozen tundra all year long. The majority of Canadians live close to the USA border so the climate is similar to what your northern states have. Canadians love to have visitors from other countries. We had thousands of them in Vancouver, British Columbia for EXPO '86. Americans were easy to pick out though, loud , brash , rude anbd pushy. Use your manners when you visit us, tone down the boastfulness...you are the greatest country in the world only in your own minds, the rest of the world would disagree.

Canada will adopt any American that wants to abide by Canadas' playbook...be polite and don't spit in public, its pretty simple really lol

It's not you Jessica, it's the yoyo in the WH that is the problem...a big, big problem...he just doesn't know when to sit down and shut up. Canadians are a lot tougher than he thinks. Bring it on donnie boy, bring it on...we will fight you with sticks and stones if it comes to that. donnie boy might want to check out some old YouTube videos about how viscious Canadian soldiers were WW1...they were ripping the eyes out of the enemy when they were captured....bring it on donnie, bring it on
