I could not understand why the president of South Africa came to meet with Trump. Every world leader needs to stay away from him. They need to ostracize him. He is a monster. Don’t give him one second of your time. Ignore him. Laugh at him. He hates that.

Carol's avatar

He went out of his way to be demeaning. But, the South African president rebuffed his evil with true grace.

FeministAnger's avatar

Maybe true grace is not the way to go. Our president is a bully, a lunatic, a narcissist, and a sadist. Maybe the only thing he really understands is a verbal punch in the face. Just a thought.

Kay G's avatar

In the Oval Office?? Ramaphosa was a class act. He came with White Male (sexist trumpverse) backup to Trump’s claims. Ramaphosa faced the bully down on his own Oval Office turf. Trump hit Ramaphosa up for a plane. Then the best Trump could do was yell at the NBC reporter repeatedly. Because that’s what bullies do when they get faced down in public!!!

Judy Cross's avatar

I would have rather seen him tell trump that we didn't come here to hear your lies and then walked out.

MM Harris's avatar

I know, so tempting..... but Ramaphosa is a true gentleman & statesman and got even in his own way.

Judy Cross's avatar

I know, but I wanted to see tRump put down on camera. He's so good at doing it to everyone with his false facts and lies, that I just wanted to see the tables turned in a big way. Ramaphosa's face said it all, but I was being selfish and wanted more. I'm so tired of seeing trump and his goonies treating others so badly. In my 83 years, I have never seen anyone acting like this in any situation. He is repulsive.

LindyLoo's avatar

Let me be the first to punch his ugly face.

Steve Doll's avatar

Someone needs to ask him to step outside, one on one. Notice how he doesn't take anyone on alone? He has to have his tag team, bobble-head backups to bail him out, just like he's done all his life. A cowardly, worthless piece of dung who should have no power over anyone.

Patricia's avatar

I’d prefer to see him get a real punch in the face.

Porter's avatar

Ramaphosa has always had a very pleasant demeanor and for the most part, is a very likable guy - unless you're a white racist Afrikaner, that is.

Linda Morway's avatar

Yes, he is the real adult in the room

JA's avatar

All of these ambushes are staged! When Trump sees a camera, the ringmaster is ready to perform his BULLY role! Why anyone bothers to visit Oval Office, with his cronies gathered around, is beyond me!

Mar.D's avatar

I just dispise this guy......

Judy Steiner's avatar

They think it is a reality TV show.

Lona Shields's avatar

I believe he thought he was coming to discuss trade….

Timothy Teter's avatar

It was a setup just like with President Zelenskyy. Shameless and disrespectful and he makes the United States look bad in front of the eyes of the free world.

WJB Motown's avatar

The PM kicked the tiny shrivelled orange mushroom right out the stinking, dripping shit filled Depends with the "I do not have a jet for you!!........The PM knew he was dealing with a white supremist dirt-bag.

Kathryn Loram's avatar

He is the weakest insecure disconnected dillusioned hatful poor excuse for a human. And all before God .😪💙💯🇺🇸

MM Harris's avatar

Hopefully he will now see just how "productive" that sort of meeting is and will stay away from ANY future contact. (btw, I won't be surprised if the horrendous & disgusting images shown in this post start appearing more obviously across our own country, gratis those for whom no level is too low for spreading hatred of other people. ALL of this is NOT WHO WE ARE!!! I am so sick to my stomach.)

Paul Kaufman's avatar

The racist FB poster is a man after Trump’s heart….

Judy Cross's avatar

I'm sure you are right.

Timothy Teter's avatar

I totally agree. If the leaders of other countries were to boycott the United States President he might get the message.

Carol-Ann Dearnaley's avatar

Then the UK needs to rescind the invitation for the Felon meeting the King. That's a start. I hate to think we need to be isolated. But, we need to be isolated. Perhaps without an audience? That won't work - he's so abject, for him, any publicity is good publicity.

olderwoman's avatar

Yes Carol-Ann, the King of England meeting with Trump, how disgusting.

It serves no purpose other than to stroke Trump's hugely oversized ego.

Marliss Desens's avatar

The Prime Minister was trying to get Trump on board with helping Ukraine. As that ship appears to have sailed, the invitation for the second state visit with the king should be withdrawn.

Sue Henger's avatar

The Main Street media should shun him. What he says is worthless.

Carol-Ann Dearnaley's avatar

Ain't never gonna happen. They are all in bed with him. $ makes the world go 'round. Hope they're not allergic to penicillin, because this man is diseased.

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

Does Starmer ever make the smart move?

Carol-Ann Dearnaley's avatar

Let's just say with the rest of Europe breathing down his neck and his need, disparate need, to get back into the EU's good graces? This time there is the chance he will do the right thing.

Judy Cross's avatar

If all he got was bad publicity it would be worth be isolated.

Carol-Ann Dearnaley's avatar

That's why it won't work. As long as he is in the world's eye, be it good or bad - demented enough to not care whether it's good or bad, just that it's publicity.

It would be worth the isolation, I agree.

Judith Miyagi's avatar

The invite is only for a meeting to discuss time & place for the 'State Visit', leaves KC3 lots of wiggle room, in other words it's not gonna happen.

Carol-Ann Dearnaley's avatar

If I were Charles? I would plead a previous engagement. Weeding his garden sounds good to me.

Martha Kenne's avatar

Who in the hell would want to subject themself to what the South African leader and Zelensky endured? Visit the White House? YUCK.

JA's avatar

Hope King Charles gets “the word.” Drop Trump on his head and leave him alone!

There is no good to be had! Only thing Trump wants is bragging and a photo opt!

Plead medical withdrawal!

Kwei Jones Quartey's avatar

You know, this has baffled me as well. You KNOW the Tangerine Tyrant is going to ambush you. WHY BOTHER?? I don't understand.

Peter De Abreu's avatar

I agree. Air time on TV and Social Media is his fuel. Take that away and he becomes just a fart in a gale of wind. HANDS OFF! 🇺🇸💪 ELBOWS UP!🇨🇦💪

Susanna J. Sturgis's avatar

Maybe you don't understand how international relations work? National leaders meet with each other as a matter of courtesy and to further their own interests. No competent national leader would decline an audience with the leaders of, e.g., the U.S. or China, and probably a representative of the European Union.

FeministAnger's avatar

Really, international leaders would meet with a malignant narcissist, sociopath, and expect to get something out of the lying lunatic? To me the fact that he loves to humiliate whoever visits him in the White House proves that any normal person would stay the hell away from that monster.

FeministAnger's avatar

Oh, and the condescending way that you leave the comment just proves to me that you really are out of touch with the sadist.

Susanna J. Sturgis's avatar

And you may be a bit out of touch with how international relations and diplomacy work. The U.S. continues to be a powerful force in the world, and *the* most powerful force in the so-called "free world." Diplomacy and international relations aren't (and shouldn't be) primarily about personalities, though of course personalities matter. And international relations continue to matter regardless of what party (or parties) or what people are in power in which particular country. Snubbing the U.S. would be a serious diplomatic mistake for any country other than China, Russia, and countries in their orbits. Speaking truth to power, however, as Ramaphosa and Zelenskyy did, is far more effective because it's (as the old saying goes) "heard round the world."

FeministAnger's avatar

That is a mouthful. You must be living under a rock. Trump is the international destroyer. The only way to handle him is to ignore him. The whole Republican Party is tainted by his lunacy. You can blah blah blah all you want, but all international leaders need to stay away from him.

FeministAnger's avatar

The point is he’s not competent. He’s a lunatic.

It’s me's avatar

This is insane!! Thank you guys for your incredible reporting!!

Leslie Marcyoniak's avatar

Donald Trump has to be a single biggest asshole on the planet!!

christopher wilson's avatar

Uh uh, that’s gotta go to this white S.A. guy HATTINGH HE IS CERTIFIABLE! Completely NUTS!

StevyD57's avatar

Why insult assholes, they are important and an integral necessity, so completely opposite of the tRUMP. Who actually is more like what passes through one

olderwoman's avatar

The biggest, the stinky-est.

WJB Motown's avatar

Bigger than Satans A-Hole.........close call.

Dianne Melcher's avatar

Thank you for outing this terrible person, ideation and connection to trump!

Susie Adams's avatar

Seriously, are we really surprised??? He’s an absolute wretched excuse for a human. The only redeeming quality this creature has is that he’s old and hopefully he kicks it soon.

Tully's avatar

Can we control Vance any better then? Vance has learned his hate very well from South Africans Peter Thiel, David Sacks (Trump's bitcoin cabinet member), and Elon Musk - all three racist friends early on in South Africa.

Thiel took the once long ago democratic Vance under his wing and converted him into the hate and fools club. He knew a fool tool when he saw one. We need to get rid of all the MAGA fools. Fool description: a person lacking judgement, reasoning skills, prudence or understanding.

We just need to bring to the light as much as possible the ugliness of the MAGAs and get them all voted out. Some also need to be in jail.

Judy Cross's avatar

My only hope with JD is that he wouldn't have the immunity that trump has and could be held accountable for crimes he may commit. Might scare him a little. I don't think that he could lead our country unless he got rid of the scum that is there and put real honest people with real knowledge of how government is supposed to work. As we have seen trump can't lead the country either.

Machi's avatar

Well, we'd have another fiction writer. But he wouldn't have the same clout as this orange asshole somehow has.

Linda Morway's avatar

Put the all into the Palace in the sky and send them off to the penguin country.

I hadn't either. Just makes me so mad to see what they are doing to our Country that I have loved and cherished for 83 years. I never use to swear, either. Now it's becoming a second language.

Gina Goulart's avatar

Dump is crazy!!! He must be impeached and removed from office immediately. I'm so tired of his crap!!!!!

Angie's avatar

I’m sure the MAGAts in the House will get right on that.

MM Harris's avatar

Yep. I would have packed my family up and moved them & myself out of the country in the dead of night before voting for the horrendous big UGLY bill.

JNelliE's avatar

Why isn’t this a news piece from every organization? Because he’s normalized insanity. This is so absurd it’s unremarkable.

Phyllis C Robles's avatar

This makes me feel sick!! And even worse that our "president" is circulating this vomit. I don't even know what to say. 😟

Anne Elizabeth Ruhr's avatar

I feel the same. The sick despair I feel in the pit of my stomach and the assault on my brain from viewing these wretched images will stick with me until this racist, morally-bankrupt administration and its "leader" are no more.

MM Harris's avatar

It was a calculated event, on every level, and probably only the beginning of similar but even worse (if that is even possible).

Linda Morway's avatar

He is trying to justify moving rich white nazis into our country, and more are on the way

MM Harris's avatar

I would not be surprised.

Tina Eden's avatar

Absolutely despicable! I know a little about the South African history and the crimes put upon the native people there in the past. Segregation, racism, slavery, unspeakable cruelty and hatred. I am shocked and saddened that apparently this is still happening. Ofcourse Lump has a new idol now. How disgusting is that! Not surprised though. He is the lowest of the low.

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

And let's remember his ostentatiously

"Christian" press secretary was handing out this racist filth.

Porter's avatar

That's my view exactly, although you expressed it better than I did in my comment. Thanks for that.

Brent Roelofs's avatar

You can bet Laura L dug this one up for him and he ran with it.

JA's avatar

Try Elon Musk first!

John Cranford's avatar

What a total 100% ass. No redeeming qualities at all.

Darrell T's avatar

Get this fucking wack job out of our house!!!

WJB Motown's avatar

What will it take to get 100 million protesters into the streets and shut the joint down!!!

Rachel Kamm's avatar

Thank you for your reporting! It is deplorable as I expected!

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

This is insane - totally insane. I just cannot believe this. I can't handle this. This has got to stop. But how? We have been nice and peaceful for so long but Trump is ignoring millions of people. He is just going all out on his insanity trip. This has got to stop but I don't know how to stop it.

David's avatar

Peaceful? America? Well...

Otherwise I agree

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

I meant that our rallies have been peaceful

David's avatar

Good for the people at the rallies and the places they were held at. Problem is thus: Trump and MAGA liken themself 'tough guys'. Imagine someone peacefully preventing bullies or criminals taking advantage. At this scale, only the iranian revolution against the Shah comes to mind. And they made that guy flee by daring the army to shoot them after marching to his palace and clogging the streets, which worked after quite a few deaths.

But Trump violates laws all the time and basically nothing big happens.

Protesters could show up in their thousands and do their own Jan 6 or camp on the WH lawn, it would not work against Trump. It will make him rant in socials and he will try to get as many arrested as possible of course but nothing more.

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

So what do you think would work

David's avatar

Since impeaching does not stick, anything I see as an alternative would be illegal

Janet S's avatar

I expect he and his family will be the next "refugees" we have to let in to our country?

David Stirling's avatar

He likely knew that his presentation was fake, but then again, his brain is mush and whatever he does is driven by his innate drive for hate, resentment and retribution!

Tully's avatar

He still has enough brains left to do what he was told. He isn't the one running this ship. His racism and resentment does override any judgment or cognitive reasoning he has left.

olderwoman's avatar

This probably came from Stephen Miller.

Where the HELL is Suzie Wiles his Chief of staff?

She is doing a really shitty job.

She must go home and drink herself to sleep every night working in that nut house.

And mainstream press won't even report on this.

Tully's avatar

I imagine she drank the poisoned Kool-Aid to have a job. Or, was already poisoned if she supports Trump. Knowing their misogyny, she could have been shoved to the side to do only a perfunctory 'secretary's job' as they would expect a 'good woman' to do.

Linda Morway's avatar

100% agree. Trump isn't smart enough. " low IQ individual"
