I would far rather listen to an educated uplifting speech from Kermit than Trump's idiotic blathering at the graduation speech he gave.

At least Kermit had a direct tie to Marland.

Cookie Monster was my favorite and a big joke because I loved cookies -- still do. I recently watched an old episode of Jimmy Kimmel giving his aunt a hard time -- as usual. In looking for it I saw that Jimmy has been involved with Sesame Street for a long time. :-) That, I am sure, doesn't help matters any since Trump hates Jimmy.

In the 2024 episode he features the trashcan: " February 13, 2024

Oscar appears in a sketch with Kimmel, his cousin Mickey, and his aunt Chippy. At the end, they all sing "I Love Trash". (YouTube)

My son had a Kermit hand puppet. We spent a lot of time playing with that. Kermit could magically eat things ( there was a hole and small things would go through it and disappear). Fond memories, I hadn't thought about that for years. My son is now 50 years old.
