Fox makes a great target defendant.

$787.5 million to Dominion. Fox Corporation must face Smartmatic’s $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit over 2020 election lies on Fox News.

In Delaware shareholder a derivative lawsuit by New York City’s five pension funds and the State of Oregon, by and through the Oregon State Treasurer and the Oregon Department of Justice, on behalf of the Oregon Investment Council and the Oregon Public Employee Retirement Fund, against various directors and officers of Fox Corporation, the corporate parent of Fox News Network, LLC. Plaintiffs allege that Fox News’ leadership breached its fiduciary duties by adopting a business model that promoted or endorsed defamation by failing to establish systems or practices to minimize defamation risk despite the known risk of liability, including broadcasting false claims about election technology companies Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic USA.

On December 27, 2024, Court of Chancery, denied Fox’ motion to dismiss, determining that Plaintiffs argued plausible inferences that Fox’s senior officers, including Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch consciously prioritized profits over legal compliance and decided to violate the law by having Fox News defame Dominion and Smartmatic.....

Fox News paid $12 million to settle a former producer's, Amy Grossburg's, lawsuit claiming that Tucker Carlson's show was an abusive place to work, defined by bigotry, misogyny and bullying.

Lots more......

I am not surprised and delighted to learn someone is standing up to fox!! Hopefully they will change their tactics [which I doubt] or find themselves losing viewers... The only time I see or even think of fox is when MTN plays their clips! Otherwise, I saw through their propaganda long ago and stopped watching. Want to know something else? I tuned into that TV show of drumf's and after the first 15 minutes turned It off and never went back!! I found it ridiculous and repulsive. NOW look at what they created!! The idiot still thinks he's still on TV!! PATHETIC!!!

YOUTUBE MEASURES HOW MUCH OF A VIDEO IS VIEWED IN ADDITION TO LIKING IT!!! Hitting 👍👍🏿👍🏻👍🏾 THEN MOVING TO A DIFFERENT VIDEO WITHOUT VIEWING A VIDEO DOESN’T REALLY COUNT!!!

*****PRO TIPS:*****

1. SPEED UP THE VIDEO!!!

• You still understand what’s said even when vids are 2X (max) faster!!! [You can speed up or slow down videos in 25% intervals (1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2.0 NORMAL -1.25, -1.5., -1.75, -2.0)]

2. SPEED THROUGH ADS EMBEDDED IN VIDEOS

• quickly tap on the RIGT SIDE of the screen.

• the info box at the bottom center of the screen CHANGES DURING ADS. THIS MARKS THE START AND ENDING OF ADS.

3. MULTITASK: Minimize the YouTube app or web page to view/listen to MT videos when doing something that doesn’t use a video player, like reading.

Wende,

I so wish you were right, and something of Jesus was still to be found in the hearts of the denizens of the deep south.

As someone who is currently living in the rural Deep South (of SC), and has for about 60 years, believe me when I say that I have have perhaps TOO MUCH understanding of these Trump cultists...

There is no Jesus left here. The Southern Strategy was very effective in "rooting out" the beautiful, compassionate teachings of Jesus (Sermon on the Mount as prime example), and replacing them with hate for the Black Americans, and people of color. It took the GOP some 65 years to "succeed" to this degree, and they do not intend to go back to a compassionate, caring belief system. They no longer even deny that the SOuthern Strategy was their plan all along. Why should they continue to deny something (as they did for decades) they're just so GOSH DARN PROUD of?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_strategy

No more "teachings of Jesus". No more Ten Commandments. Not even any more Golden Rule.

The CHURCH and FAMILY have been pretty completely replaced with TRUMP and HATE. (If Covid taught us anything, it's that these cultists love Trump more than their own family members. In all the time since Covid took some 500,000 lives of the cultists' family members, I've heard no regrets in the years since. No regrets pointed at Trump, I mean...)

Good question. The anti-vax movement has infultrated the Amish/Mennonite . They support RKennedy Jr. They are Trump supporters and would never support a woman for president. They oppose the Democrats and their health protection laws.

They are the most unprotected and then be the first to suffer the effects of lunitic/idiot RKennedyJr being the health leader.

Still, since these people ALWAYS felt this way about vaccinations (and were allowed to by religious exemptions) wasn't it just as likely in the middle of a Biden's term? They can't be less than 0% vaccinated, and I suspect they already were that..

It almost feels as though it might have been deliberately introduced, though I see little point. (And it may be pure coincidence, of course.)

Still, MAGAs are the only people I know of that deliberately contracted Covid in order to be safe from Covid...

Jenny,

That's sort of my point. That Jesus is barely in their church, and nowhere even remotely near their hearts. And NOT by accident...

The entire point of the (very successful) Southern Strategy was to replace love for Jesus with hate for Black people.

And this, which has turned out to be way more prescient than I would have liked when I wrote it going on 3 years ago:

"“Thou Shall Give Birth, and God Shall Raise Up a Righteous Army!”

So Sayeth the Six Disciples, with Alito and Thomas Leading the Chorus"

I left the church a long time ago. I found too much judgment. However, God is in my heart. Though, loving my neighbor is not something I can do, if they are MAGATTS. Right now in Standing Up, when my bosses/commissioners, are MAGATTS, I am having to choose between my country and my job, if I stand up. I decided, I choose The People of the great and mighty USA. I am in the north, BTW, but dealt with the southern hate, when Obama won. :) It is ugly.

Jenny,

I wish I wasn't in a position to agree so completely. I was actually baptized in the Southern Baptist Church (of course) >50 years ago, but the hypocrisy was just too strong a wedge.

We've lived in this spot in South Carolina long enough to have once had a land grant from the king (of England. Not Washington, DC.) We know everyone, and most of them are related to us.

But we're known for not hating, and for supporting democrats. So when my brother died 4 years ago, no one cared, or offered to help. And when it looked as though Dad might not reach his 95th birthday, and was bedridden with dementia at home last Christmas...no one came. (But our closest neighbor, and my mother's closest living relative, did bring some food to the door for Thanksgiving, so I suppose that counts.)

And now, as my mother (93) is bedridden, and I tend to her care ENTIRELY alone (despite being 100% permanently disabled), I expect nothing. And I'm sure these good Christians won't disappoint.

Just an hour or so ago I realized that Mom no longer knows me by name, or as her son. But now she knows me by name, and keeps repeating it in order to remember, but it's entirely unconnected to her past. She seems content to know me as her caretaker, and that's enough for now. (Maybe being free of any and all baggage is best.)

I'm ashamed to admit how welcome almost any distraction is right now. But not this.

Thank you, Jenny. I guess now I get used to being a family of one, but with a task yet to complete.

I know, right!!! My neighbors are mostly senior citizens, like me, or good black and brown folks that regularly check on us, pick up our tossed over trash cans or litter people throw in our yards. One or two have gardens and can be seen bringing fresh food to our doors. Another is a beekeeper, and we get honey as gifts, another has family in the country, with chickens, and we see eggs just appear at our door steps... I feel truly blessed to have this caring community that I can rely upon more than my own family. Which I feel is a terrible tragedy!! I am the only widow living alone, so the younger men around me regularly ask if they can help me with anything. Isn't that the way it's supposed to be? The only thing I can offer is rides to Dr appts, grocery stores or listening. They know I am struggling, but allow me to feel like am I contributing to our little group. well said, I stopped going to Church when I was about 12...I loved Sunday school and was in the United church's childrens' choir ...my Mom never set foot in a church after the so called "good Catholics" kicked her out of the Church for marrying a (gasp!) Anglican, my Dad never set foot in a church anyway except to get married and for my baptism. My Mom shunned all religious institutions after that except for one time when I and another girl were singing a duet on Easter Sunday. I had to beg her to come. She came , heard us sing and then left. My Mom and her sister were sent to an orphanage in Ituna Saskatchewan when their evil stepmother demanded that my Grandfather, their own Dad, get them out of the house...she had 3 daughters with my Grandfather and hated my Mom and her older sister. During the Depression, my Mom and her older sister would sneak out at night and go to the neighbors gardens and each dig up a carrot or a potatoe...they were so hungry they ate them without washing them first, they ate the dirt and all...organized religion did nothing for my family...
