If Fox News is picketed because they won't report truth, will they report it?

Please report daily on Fox litigation. What's happening with Smartmatic? With the shareholder derivitive suit? That's news.

Please also report daily on TrumpтАЩs executive order, signed Monday, to nationalize all of our municipal police forces that will be answerable only to him. WhatтАЩs happening with this?!!

You've got to be kidding. There's no way that something like that will ever happen. Of course that's what we keep saying and then he gets away with it. He truly thinks he's KING.

No way that will ever happen? Better yet, how many law enforcement organizations would be all in for that?

From personal observation it seems like MAGA is very well represented in police departments at all levels. Project 2025, the trump coup continues.

National Guard units are under both a governorтАЩs and federal authority.

So, in theory, he could order the various national guards - wondering how many other groups would also jump on to follow his orders or would refuse to follow them.

This came up after his visit to MI and the National Guard air base (Selfridge) the other day. Shame that Gary Peters, the MIA Senator couldnтАЩt show up - so it was Whitmer who got the bad optics there.

We still call both the MI and DC offices (a fool's errand, perhaps) - but we're a stubborn (and p*ssed off) group.

What amazes me is how quickly others jump in to excuse or attempt to provide cover for him and Slotkin. The other day (paraphrasing): "Peters has been a long time supporter/advocate for Selfridge... " Okay. Great.

So WHERE WAS HE the other day? Just throwing Whitmer under the bus in his 'support' and advocacy? We can depend on him to do..... what?

GodтАЩs Day of Vengeance and Redemption

1 Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? тАЬIt is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.тАЭ

2 Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress?

3 тАЬI have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing.

4 It was for me the day of vengeance; the year for me to redeem had come.

5 I looked, but there was no one to help, I was appalled that no one gave support; so my own arm achieved salvation for me, and my own wrath sustained me.

6 I trampled the nations in my anger; in my wrath I made them drunk and poured their blood on the ground.тАЭ

Praise and Prayer

7 I will tell of the kindnesses of the LORD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for usтАФ yes, the many good things he has done for Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses.

8 He said, тАЬSurely they are my people, children who will be true to meтАЭ; and so he became their Savior.

9 In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them.[a]In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

10 Yet they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. So he turned and became their enemy and he himself fought against them.

11 Then his people recalled[b] the days of old, the days of Moses and his peopleтАФ where is he who brought them through the sea, with the shepherd of his flock? Where is he who set his Holy Spirit among them,

12 who sent his glorious arm of power to be at MosesтАЩ right hand, who divided the waters before them, to gain for himself everlasting renown,

13 who led them through the depths? Like a horse in open country, they did not stumble;

14 like cattle that go down to the plain, they were given rest by the Spirit of the LORD. This is how you guided your people to make for yourself a glorious name.

15 Look down from heaven and see, from your lofty throne, holy and glorious. Where are your zeal and your might? Your tenderness and compassion are withheld from us.

16 But you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us or Israel acknowledge us; you, LORD, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is your name.

17 Why, LORD, do you make us wander from your ways and harden our hearts so we do not revere you? Return for the sake of your servants, the tribes that are your inheritance.

18 For a little while your people possessed your holy place, but now our enemies have trampled down your sanctuary.

19 We are yours from of old; but you have not ruled over them, they have not been called[c] by your name. psalm of Asaph.

1 The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets.

2 From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.

3 Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.

4 He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people:

5 тАЬGather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.тАЭ

6 And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God of justice.[a][b]

7 тАЬListen, my people, and I will speak; I will testify against you, Israel: I am God, your God.

8 I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.

9 I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens,

10 for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.

11 I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine.

12 If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?

14 тАЬSacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High,

15 and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.тАЭ

16 But to the wicked person, God says: тАЬWhat right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips?

17 You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you.

18 When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw in your lot with adulterers.

19 You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.

20 You sit and testify against your brother and slander your own motherтАЩs son.

21 When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly[c] like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you.

22 тАЬConsider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:

23 Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless[d] I will show my salvation.тАЭ

There has always been a cult of ignorance in the US. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through through our political and cultural life nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge'----Isaac Asimov.

Ike pushed the system hard after sputnik showed how far behind the USSR we were. Pushed hard for STEM, Feds paid 80% of college costs, with the students and the states paying the remaining 20%. It also made for a very vibrant middle class.

The republican party has always nurtured the willfully ignorant[trump told the truth when he said he loved the low educated]then came Reagan who started cutting college dollars, GW Bush and his NCLB Act started the anti teacher movement, which the red states pushed as they lowered public ed funding and pushing to get rid of teachers. Oklahoma, at the start of the 24/25 school year had over 4K emergency certified teachers. Now comes trump with his war on universities, expert Civil Service workers and really anyone with education. States are giving public school $$$ to private schools, now the NAT Cs want to get rid of the 1st amendment and give overtly religious schools a piece of the tax payer pie. The GOP plan, started almost 50 years ago, to return the US to the way things were in the period between 1870 and1913. Where the .1% rule and the 99% are mostly treated as indentured servants due to owing so much to the company store.

If President Trump does break the law, he canтАЩt be touched as he has immunity from prosecution & can pardon those who break the law for him. How can this be good? I could go on & on but letтАЩs start there.
