LOUD AND PROUD we stand together 😎

John Cook's avatar

Who will rid us of this corrupt government and president?’

Cruzan9's avatar

Wish I knew. If you manage to get rid of him we will have the Shady Vance to contend with and believe it or not he is way worse; he's just slicker.

Terry's avatar

Vance isn't liked. Project 2025 isn't liked. I don't think Mikey Johnson is liked. Every maga you hear, swallow every word trump ejaculates, never Vance's. How many vacations has Vance been on?

Anna B's avatar

And met with boo's and protests at every one - I don't think anyone likes or wants him. Not even his own magats.

Terry's avatar

No...lol He's always needing to move his location! 🤣😂

That is my worst fear…..he is far more intelligent…..and capable than the rump…..slicker is a good term

Time for those bastards to face a furious mosh pit!!!!!

Barsee's avatar

We need Protest music ringing across this nation—Dylan, Baez, Neil Young, Peter Paul and Mary

Roberta Houle's avatar

Music festival, not the P word. Try to keep up.

Julie's avatar

Maybe even Buffalo Springfield?

sharon haskell's avatar

Now you’re talking!

Glenda C.'s avatar

two upcoming nationwide days of action:

Fight the Trump Takeover: This coming Saturday, August 16, supporting Texas For All’s call for rallies all around the country to push back against Trump’s attempts to silence voters by redrawing congressional districts.

Labor Day — Workers Over Billionaires: supporting a labor-led effort that builds off the momentum from this year’s massive May Day rallies to advocate for a pro-worker country that is more fair, just, equitable, and free for all — not just the billionaires.

Barsee's avatar

MAGA needs to face the 🎼

John Cook's avatar

Don’t forget Seeger and Jackson Browne. Woodie Guthrie . We need the songs of protest more than ever now.

sharon haskell's avatar

It is beautiful music!

John Cook's avatar

Although the songs and artists are from a different era , the words still ring true.

James Wilson's avatar

Before you had mentioned it, I was going to say there was a Tik Tok or Instagram video that to avoid the suppression people were using the term music festival. But Ben you were clued in on it already!

Social media companies are definitely becoming like Twitter, where left leaning and anti Trump voices are being seen less and less but promoting MAGA voices.

I follow Democrats on social media, but Facebook wants to show me MTG’s wacky posts and I am not seeing as many posts from my Senators and Governor? They are defined putting their fingers on the scale to make Trump happy.

Substack for now is the best platform and currently I am happy with YouTube as they too promote videos I that align with independent creators I can trust.

American Mom's avatar

Why would anyone support/patronize Facebook or Twitter or PayPal or Instagram or Amazon or any of the other businesses run by people supporting the rise of fascism?

And when is a National Strike appropriate as a message to those in power who are acting with impunity against the interests and rights of the citizens?

Bj5276's avatar

I hope soon on the National Strike

Keep your chins-up!

The first of many National Music Festivals … now that’s something for this ‘one-foot-in-the-grave-and-the-other-on-a-banana-peel’ still *rockin’ seventy-five years old to live for.

*Thanks to my awesome doctors.

You are 9 years my junior and I refuse to be silenced, too. We know what we're fighting for and what it's worth.

Sandra Wallace's avatar

Due to a recent hard full body fall, I'm hobbling around with canes and a walker, attempting to keep my feet attached to the ground when heading off to the next thing. Thank you for the laugh, Greenfield Jim!

Indeed, these guys, The Meidas Bros, are my healer's too.

The Black Out festival is sept 16 thru 20, coming up fast! Five full days of blasting, joyful sound in many venues (nationwide?) at once -- bring your friends and family, it’ll be great!

Kim Bart's avatar

Where can we look for more news about the black out festival?

Schmendryck's avatar

A national "strike" is always appropriate if it involves swinging a baseball bat with nails in the end. STRIKE THREE, THEY'RE OUT!!!

Sandra Wallace's avatar

Naw, dude....

Fight with LOVE and COURAGE, not HATE.

"PEACE that passes all UNDERSTANDING" found in Philippians 4:7. It reads, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds..." which highlights a peace that is not based on circumstances or human reasoning, but rather a supernatural peace that comes from God.

God is Love and Love is God.

Keep the faith, with strength, not violence.

This from a mom, with a son who was a first round draft pick and major league baseball pitcher at one time - now a fire department paramedic. "He holds the distinction of having tied an MLB record by striking out four batters in one inning." (Wikipedia)

Lets match that record and find a way to "strike out 4 batters in one inning", with pride and brave honor, heralded as our nation's legacy.

This from a daughter of a traditional jazz musician, who would break the ice when fellow band mates would be in disharmony and discord, cheerfully interrupting and so out of character with "Try and get along, fellas!"

I asked him once, "Dad, how do you get your audiences (no matter the size) so 'in the zone' and so mesmerized by your every note, anticipating your next chorus with such rapt attention?" He thought a minute. "By playing in time with the beat of my heart."

I didn't understand what he meant exactly, but told this story at his NOLA French Quarter Memorial Service, and to a newspaper reporter afterwards. Now, I better understand what he meant.

I'm teaching this to my grand son, who's inherited his great grandfather's talents and charisma as an up and coming musician, lyricist and vocalist.

Om, or Aum, the sound of the universe - the equivalent of hearing the hum of a large group of people talking at a party, without being able to distinguish any individual voice, or the roar of a crowd at a baseball game.

Calming sounds- Listening to calming sounds like temple bells can reduce stress and anxiety, and improve your mood.

• Binaural beats

These brain waves can help you transition into a desired state of mind, such as relaxation, focus, or alertness. Beta frequency binaural beats (14–30 Hz) can improve concentration and memory, while 40 Hz binaural beats can help with learning and training.

• Low-frequency sounds

These sounds can increase alpha waves, which are associated with relaxation and creative thinking.

• High-frequency sounds

These sounds can increase beta waves, which can promote focus and alertness.

• Meditation

You can use bell tones as part of a meditation routine to help you feel grounded and tranquil

Please let's go forward with the beat of our good strong hearts, 'cuz our lives depend on it!

Schmendryck's avatar

Hey, whaddaya got against baseball??‽

Hilary Nally's avatar

A national day of noncooperation (like you said), or multiple days, will happen when it's clear that enough of the populace will participate. If you want to be counted towards that, attend the biggest and best music festival that you can find on Labor Day. These festivals need to be bigger than the ones we've had already.

Julie's avatar

I’ve heard of a few music festivals in California 🎶🎶🎶🎶 Let’s go?

Cuz family is on FB and sometimes can only find certain items on Amazon. Gift shopping, when family is out of state and on a budget is challenging.

Susan Raquel's avatar

When shopping look for the name of the company that is selling the item on Amazon, Walmart, etc. Then look and see if that company, often a small business, has a website. From there see if there is a difference in price. Sometimes it is the same price as Amazon.

Patricia Reed's avatar

My husband and I have started ordering directly from the company making the product. Sometimes that isn't possible so we find a different product or, if not possible, just go without. For gifts, a note with a check saves tax on the gift and shipping fees.

Richard Waddell's avatar

Developing the HABIT of Just Going Without on items that you can definitely ALWAYS get elsewhere, so that soon you will not care if you have to go without something that 'hurts' a little more...and the totally take the NAP = No Amazon Pledge!

Susan Raquel's avatar

Just came across this: "Amazon hosts millions of sellers — in fact, more than 60% of Amazon sales come from independent sellers, most are small and medium-sized businesses. And as you'd expect, 71% of the products they sell are sourced from China, with other top suppliers including India, Germany, Mexico and Japan. It means products you think are "American" could easily be shipped from overseas, even if it's not obvious on Amazon."

Don’t believe everything you see. Or hear. My understanding from Ron Filipowski is that this was all for show. To appease and make it seem like a grand gesture. There is no intention on his part to do anything and is just waiting for 🎃 to be out of office. As Ron mentioned, Cook is gay and you could tell from his body language that this was difficult for him. Just like other countries who are doing the same with their acts of ‘going along’ with the mad man. Critical thinking is crucial these days.

Maybe a ‘yes’ but more than likely a ‘no’ regarding Youtube

filtering out unfiltered and bonafide news and commentary by ethical content providers like Meidas Touch.

Youtube’s content ‘suits’ realize advertising buyer’s dollars are invested to sell to the largest market audience; and wouldn’t be surprised at finding early morning lunch bags of fresh warm dog poop at Youtube’s corporate office doorstep left by irate ad buyers if they willingly reduce their viewership.

Plan B is operating our own websites if we can because 1) the Internet is needed by the MAGAs to spread their nonsense so is no doubt protected, and 2) there are a variety of non-partisan Web providers. That way we can still communicate by electronic means.

Plan C is radio and if you really want old school - Ham radio, CBs, walkie talkies, those Nextel phones that allowed intercom communication. Our Cell phones unless they find a way to turn off cell phones of the non-cultists - and that would lose them huge sums of money.

Plan D is paper and print - mail. Driving, walking, horses... Really old school.

Remember that the original revolutionaries didn't have any of this stuff and they managed to get the word out to 13 colonies on the East Coast. I think we can all get the word spread just as well clear across this country no matter how we would have to do it.

Julie's avatar

We love our blue sky!💙

Bluesmurf's avatar

I see a lot of "reels" from the democrats when I watch them on Facebook. Like and follow them, which ups your algorithm to provide you with more of their content. I've seen more appear right after only clicking like on 1 reel, so clicking like on them all will mean you will see more and more. At least that is what I see as of this moment.

Mark Zuckerberg wants to play both sides of the fence or he'll lose advertising revenue. If he allows his algorithms to get rid of all the liberals, then he loses over 1/2 of his income - that would be devastating. So, I don't see him blocking liberal content at least for now.

Same with Amazon. They aren't going to try and figure out who their liberal customers are and block them from purchases. Musk won't stop a liberal from buying a Tesla. Money is money to these freaks and they aren't going to go along with the "stomp the liberals" if it means losing a dollar.

Karen Loewenstern's avatar

I agree - I get tons of liberal/Democratic posts on FB as those are the sites I follow and click like on or share. I have seen no censoring of my very liberal anti-Trump posts and shares at all.

Barb O's avatar

We need the names of any sponsors who abandon you. These sponsors will need to be boycotted.

I feel the music festivals are too spread out. We need to attend music festivals more often, perhaps monthly.

Gene's avatar

Music festivals are not too spread out. They are happening every day. But news about them is being throttled in the media and on social platforms. We need to go to our favorite pages and share their posts from there. I totally agree with boycotting any sponsors who abandon Meidas.

Masha's avatar

Indivisible sends out emails at least weekly announcing music festivals. You just have to sign up to receive the emails for festivals in your area.

Patricia Reed's avatar

Indivisibles is very, very good about spreading ideas and suggesting events to participate in daily and weekly. I belong to a local one and those people work so hard every day.

Lee Anne Wilfert's avatar

Masha's avatar

Patricia Reed's avatar

I would definitely use any info provided on sponsors who abandon you. I'm sure many other MeidasMighty members would join me. As for musical events, a national concert for Saturday and Sunday performances would be perfect and hit the financial pockets of the most businesses. If it helped, additional shows could be planned.

Xplisset's avatar

Man, this is how they do it. They don’t roll in with one big “shut it down” sign nah, they chip away at you. Little by little. First they cut the reach, then the money, then suddenly you’re wondering why your feed feels like AM radio at 3 a.m. That’s the play.

And watching Ben get squeezed? Oh, that’s textbook. I’ve been over here damn near bald from pulling my hair out putting together clickable receipts for my Epstein/Ghislaine series….hours of work just so people can follow the trail without getting lost in the weeds. And I promise you, there are folks who’d rather eat glass than see those dots connected in public. Seems like someone out there has been leaving a trail of 404 errors when you hit that link.

Silencing Ben isn’t just “politics.” It’s the art of making sure you never get to see the full picture. No receipts. No timelines. Just “trust us” from the same people who’ve been lying to your face for years.

So yeah, this is NOT the time to get quiet. This is the time to crank the volume ‘til the knob snaps off. Make ‘em uncomfortable. Make ‘em sweat. And make damn sure the truth keeps getting out even if it’s on the last platform standing.

America. I’m calling out to you from Australia 🇦🇺. Rise up and organise to remove the regime from government in every state at every level.

We appear to be safe for the time being here but the fight for the right wing to regain power here is growing.

Calling all MeidasMighty to do your thing.

I totally agree with everything you said, but the genie is out of the bottle. 41% agree with what Trump is doing. They have all revealed themselves and it’s worse than I ever imagined. It’s a very sad situation. They are greedy evil racists.

Scooterboi60's avatar

I know. That’s why I’m calling for Americans to rise up, organise and remove the scum from government at every level.

It’s hard and I’ve never had to do it but if I was an American I would have organised a group to stand against the rapist, criminal, insurrectionist when he took control of the media and controlled the narrative simply to save himself from going to prison.

He knew what was coming then which is why he announced his candidacy so early and America was too slow to recognise it.

If you don’t overthrow the c*** now then you can call yourself a Russian from here on in.

That’s not dramatic, it’s what’s happening right before your eyes.

Patricia Reed's avatar

We are doing the best we can to resist. Many of us are ashamed of our government and wish we had a way to apologize to all the countries Felon47 has hurt. We appreciate those who realize how many of us don't support him and continue to reach out in friendship.

We are the World

(Sing along - virtual "music festival" - it's karaoke time)

[Verse 1: Lionel Richie, Lionel Richie & Stevie Wonder, Stevie Wonder]

There comes a time

when we heed a certain call

When the world must come together as one

There are people dying

[Paul Simon, Paul Simon & Kenny Rogers]

Oh, and it's time to lend a hand to life

The greatest gift of all

[Verse 2: Kenny Rogers, James Ingram, Tina Turner]

We can't go on pretending day by day

That someone, somewhere will soon make a change

We are all a part of God's great big family

[Billy Joel, Billy Joel & Tina Turner]

And the truth, you know

Love is all we need

[Chorus: Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Both]

We are the world, we are the children

We are the ones who make a brighter day

So let's start giving

There's a choice we're making

We're saving our own lives

It's true, we'll make a better day

Just you and me

[Verse 3: Dionne Warwick, Dionne Warwick & Willie Nelson, Willie Nelson, Al Jarreau]

Well, send them your heart so they'll know that someone cares

And their lives will be stronger and free

As God has shown us by turning stone to bread

And so we all must lend a helping hand

These are my thoughts - I am writing to Governors Newsom, Pritzker and Hochul. They need to unite and gather all Democratic governors together to become united. They need to decide on a leader to unite them all. Gather Bernie Sanders, AOC, Jasmine Crock, Jamie Raskin and all Democrats together. Decide on a united game plan so that Americans can get on board to fight what is happening. I believe every Democratic state needs to call on the National Guard to protect themselves. Trump is using Washington as a testing ground and the Democrats need to fight fire with fire. Right now there are so many groups who are trying to fight what is going on and most Americans do not know which group to join. We need a united front. We the People need a true leader and a united front to protect our democracy.

Maggie's avatar

A strong leader is absolutely needed immediately! This post is exactly what is needed as soon as it can be organized!

Marlene Lerner-Bigley (CA)'s avatar

Not just one leader, Maggie, but many. That’s the change we need and we are getting it. Even some moderate Dems who thought being bipartisan was the ticket!

PeachBlossom's avatar

The main problem with having many leaders is that it makes us even more like herding cats!

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

Already sent my emails.

Sandra Wallace's avatar

How about a strong leader, preferably a prior comedian, like Volodymyr Zelensky?

Seriously, Steven Colbert for music festival head liner?

If it's got to be a politician, I insist it must be someone younger and more brilliant than me, like Bernie Sanders!

Sue Testerman's avatar

I totally agree! We have Move On, Indivisible, The Blue Brigade, etc., etc. If we had one united front, we would all know who to give our money to and could make a bigger impact.

Pat D's avatar

I wish Anonymous would step up and join the cause (I mean, if they truly are dedicated to bringing down evil corp like they claim). More than anything, we're going to need a team of the savvy-est, most highly skilled IT and election forensic people, and a boatload of righteous hackers, too. The Dems better wise up, unite, and get modernized.

Marlene Lerner-Bigley (CA)'s avatar

There will be a united front, I feel it in my bones. It is the organizations you mentioned plus Meidas who will bring that to fruition. The tech bros, the oligarchs, the corporations, and the Trump regime will feel the fire!

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

It needs to happen quickly

I'm in a similar situation, and now I am giving money to so many different people/places, that I cannot give anything else.

JMull's avatar

What about Beto? I heard that they are going after his organization because it’s helping the TX dems.

Bluesmurf's avatar

Yes... but Beto is fighting it. And there are a lot of people helping the Texas Dems.

Charlotte Ann's avatar

Yes! Many of us have been saying something similar. Pro-democracy Americans need a team with a de facto leader to rally behind - a stark contrasted choice that Americans can visually see and choose.

Jordan Sollitto's avatar

Yep. The resistance to this autocratic cancer is too diffuse. It needs to be better choreographed to maximize its critical mass. Dems need to stop quibbling over their differences and unite around a single cause; defense of democracy.

PeachBlossom's avatar

The fascists rely on Democrats being as effective as cat herders!

Typo July 17, not 27. Sorry. Too new to this and a bad typist to boot.

This is what I found. 5 investors. Andresson Horowitz, Bond, Y Combinator, Quiet Capital, TCG. As of Jul 17, 2025. It also says Series C - Substack

Marc Andreesson is another yarvin-esque "use the poor for biofuel" dip wads, so be CONCERNED, be VERY concerned.

(note: I edited out "afraid" in exchange for "concerned" because we should definitely NOT be afraid)

PatchyGroundFog 🐎's avatar

Well, if I were the type that were afraid of everything, I'd hide under my covers and not have any electronic devices. And you are here, are you afraid? There's a lot to be afraid of these days. I'm just not that type. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Schmendryck's avatar

Ill amend that to "be concerned." We need to pay attention, we need to stay focused, whatever descriptive we choose to use.

PatchyGroundFog 🐎's avatar

I agree and thanks for the heads up. I’ve been on substack for awhile now, and haven’t had any problems. Some big accounts are here, so they must not see an issue. As somebody else said, I’ll stay until it starts going south, then I’ll leave, like with twitter.

I already know that all the broligarchs gather data on everybody. Now that muskrat stole everybody’s info and gave/sold to palllan tir, we are all already fvcked. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you so much! I did the research on Google as well. It’s still concerns me that people that invest that much money could be turned to silencing those of us who are for democracy.

No one has bought substack. Internet AI reports: "No, Substack is not currently for sale. It is a privately held company, and there are no publicly announced plans for it to be sold. Substack was founded in 2017 and has secured funding from venture capital firms, but it remains under the control of its original founders.

While Substack is not for sale, it's important to understand that private companies can become publicly traded through various methods, including IPOs, SPACs, direct listings, or mergers and acquisitions. Substack has not yet filed for an IPO.

Here's a breakdown of why Substack is not for sale:

Private Ownership:

Substack is a privately held company, meaning its ownership is not publicly traded.

No Public Announcement:

There have been no public announcements or reports indicating that Substack is for sale.

Continued Operation:

Substack continues to operate as a platform for writers and creators, offering tools for building and monetizing newsletters.

Funding History:

Substack has raised significant funding rounds, but these have been from venture capital firms, not through a sale of the company."

I was able to find that info using my own little pea-brain. No AI needed. 🙄

Bluesmurf's avatar

I always source my findings in case someone thinks I'm making things up or am trying to influence the way people think. I don't like AI so very much but it has the ability to 'crawl' the Internet and give a synopsis, so sometimes I use it, other times I go deeper to find other sources.

Oh brother, are you sure you want to be here?

Concerned Citizen's avatar

Yes. Until it takes a turn like Twitter, Facebook, and all the other social medias out there I will continue to support Substack writers.

If your sponsors are telling you not to cover the protests, Why are they your sponsors? 🤷‍♀️

We want to know so we can protest them! I

Take their money, but don't let them dictate.

How about inviting our YouTube, Instagram, Facebook etc. subscribers on each feed, to email the MTN, so as to enable you to send them updates by email, should we be banned/shadowbanned on that network?

Marilyn Hedrich's avatar

I seem to still be receiving the notifications from Meidas touch on youtube for now. I am in Canada but have a brother in California. What is the best way to share info with him?. Instead of clicking SHARE i copy the link and paste it into the body of the email with a heading (subject) like HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Is this the best way to do it without waking up the algorithm dragon?

Black Pearl (Slava Ukraini)'s avatar

Not sure if the algorithm dragon won't be woken up when your brother clicks on the link, but email is a very useful way of sharing information 😊

Elizabeth Burgess's avatar

Maybe try cut n paste the article/message on instead of sending the links no?

Bluesmurf's avatar

Yes... copy and paste the article and not the links. Links in emails are used for scams and downloading malware onto your computer to steal your passwords and other data. People typically won't click on links in emails - and you should not.

If you want to share videos - just write in the email "search for Meidas Touch Videos on the Internet" instead of a link so they can find what you want them to see - putting the headline with it will help find whatever you are trying to share. It is safer this way. Scammers will take advantage of anything they can to open a door to our devices.

The biggest problem with substack is that you really have no way to keep in touch w/ your followers if you justifiably have reason to exit the platform. There ARE ways to use SMS both for your news feed & to directly interact w/your audience, but the biggest hesitation is being willing to get off ANY commercial network whether it be Substack or schlubhack.
