So I volunteered with the League of Women Voters at a mall this past weekend informing people about the league and making sure they are registered to vote. I was kicked off facebook permanently so I can't post there but I will post here on substack. Now is not the time to keep your head down and watch what I post and that is what I told him.
My daughters told me the same thing when I got kicked off YouTube. I asked them, if not me, if not us, then who? And recited one of my favourite homilies "All is takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing".
As we watch ICE thugs throw people to the ground for nothing more than the colour of their skin, we have to remember, this is what 1939 Germany looked like. We cannot stand idly by while that sad tale repeats.

Interesting that they can say whatever they want, but if you "substitute" RepublCRAP for the Democrat someone has, it never is appropriate for their "community guidelines."

I disabled my FB account. Eventually I'll go through it to download a few photos I'd like to keep. I can't figure out how to delete the Instagram account I never use. Blue Sky is, in my opinion, ridiculous - the vapidness of most posts is really discouraging. The only people worth following are journalists and constitutional lawyers and their content is available elsewhere. I really wanted to like Blue Sky but it's failed miserably for me.
I have to admit I don't use Blue Sky much, I never used Twit much either - thought it was intended for high school and fan clubs. Too bad it became so malevolent.

My son has finally figured out that when he tells me to keep calm about something all I do is get more fired up about it. As best I know I haven't got banned from Next Door; but, sometimes my posts just disappear. I don't know if someone has complained or if I violated one of their "rules". I often get a message to the tune of do you want to reword your comment? I say no and sometimes it goes through and other times it says it will be analyzed and a determination made whether it will be posted. LOL
One member, a conspiracy guy, you know - vaccines cause autism, they are putting chemicals in the air, etc., got tired of getting his posts deleted so he started a group of his own. When you do that you determine what stays and what goes and make the rules for that group. One of his rules is that if you try to get someone's post "kicked off" he will kick you out of the group. Last time I looked there were about 30 people in the group.
Although there is quite a bit of disagreement, especially about politics, almost everyone is civil and real discussions take place. He also has a platform for his many conspiracy theories. All and all he is a really nice person and really believes his conspiracies.
I want to subscribe, honestly and I share content to others...I am in a place where I have no funds, in debt, on Social Security...I do what I can, am marching Saturday, spreading the word, and kindness, am honestly working on not freaking out about the country I love..Thank-you for your courage, commitment....as grandma said...bless your heart.
