So, where are we on this Wednesday? Well, we are still here fighting, and that’s great. The resistance and opposition to Trump has grown stronger. Trump’s authoritarian regime is more despised by the day. On Monday, Trump held a press conference with RFK Jr. and Dr. Oz where he told pregnant women not to take Tylenol and spread other dangerous lies about health and vaccines. Yesterday, Trump canceled a meeting with Democratic leaders at the White House to try and avoid a government shutdown on October 1.
Then, Trump went to the United Nations and gave what was the most embarrassing speech ever in the history of the United Nations, definitively announcing to the world that the United States is fully and completely cooked. Watching Trump speak to world leaders and tell them their countries were going to hell, that climate change is a “hoax,” and that he would have done a better job building the UN building was beyond humiliating. The audience of world leaders was laughing, grimacing with disgust, and looking in horror at what the United States has become. It wasn’t as if the world didn’t know the United States was run by a deranged lunatic, but seeing it up close and in the same room with other world leaders was an enhanced experience of how far the United States has fallen.
And, of course, Jimmy Kimmel returned to Disney/ABC last night, although Nexstar and Sinclair, which control the major affiliate stations, are still preempting or blocking the show on their controlled stations. Donald Trump made a social media post where he threatened to sue Disney and ABC for having Jimmy Kimmel return to his show. Jimmy Kimmel delivered a good monologue that was circumspect, respectful, and very funny, but it was met with right-wing castigation claiming he didn’t apologize sufficiently to Charlie Kirk’s family, which I think is utterly ridiculous.
If you’ve been watching our programming lately, you’ll note that the theme I keep talking about and repeating is the importance of moral clarity. I will keep repeating it over and over again because I believe it’s what’s missing in our country. We need to care about values and principles and support empathy and community and love and democracy, and not be psyched out by loud right-wing rage-baiters into sacrificing what should be enduring ideals.
The more I think about the MeidasTouch Network and the leadership the network provides in these dark days, the more I come back to the importance of moral clarity. It’s not just about reporting the news that we do. As we lay out the facts and bring the receipts and evidence—as I did when I was a trial lawyer—we speak with a voice of moral clarity that doesn’t mince words. It’s a mission we carry out day in and day out, navigating these crazy and dangerous times with you by using a moral compass that directs our ship and will bring us to a destination that gets us out of this mess. We will continue to fight for you every single day and use our platform to the best of our ability to amplify voices that fight for you. We will get through this together, I promise you that, and I am more confident of it each day.
We hope before you sign off this Substack, you will subscribe to the MeidasTouch Substack now if you are able. Now, more than ever, the MeidasTouch Network needs your help to continue to grow and to keep our lead over Fox News and Joe Rogan and all other corporate and cable news. We appreciate you, as always.

Trump once again failed to meet the moment and tone down the rhetoric. He embarrassed the country to the entire world. There not a single country that can take us seriously and rely on us to do good and we the moral authority in the world.
The fight MUST go on - we’re not there yet … we will be!👍👍👍
