In contrast, the news clips of Trump's visit to Saudi made me writhe in a different kind of sickness.

Trump and his daughter Tiffany's husband convinced so many Arab Americans in Michigan to vote for dump. He turned his back on them the minute he swore the oath to defend a Constitution he hadn't read and knows nothing about. He cares less than those Arab lives in Gaza than the dog shit he just stepped in. (Is that the smell, Oh! No!)
The lives in Gaza that continue to be lost, the abhorrent behavior of Netanyahu and his cronies will not stop until the Palestinians take charge of themselves and stop waiting for other Arab nations to care about them. Israelis have proved time and again that the only way to save yourself is to take charge of yourself and stop wasting time, energy and resources in hatred and anger and work for self determination.
News Flash: that DOESN'T include murdering innocent's and babies in their cribs any more than the Israelis doing that to the Gazans does!
The only hope for a lasting peace in the Middle East is for
1) Palestinians recognize Israel's right to exist and the historical records that Arabs and Jews have shared that land for millennia.
2) Palestinians organize around leaders acting in good faith for peace (there are pockets of such people but in truth, Netanyahu has been working to destroy them as well as Arab bad actors
3) enough people on both sides demand what the European nations, the Ukrainian, and the hundreds of thousands of Americans are doing right now: demand truth, accountability, decency, a deep dedication to the betterment for their people. And lastly,
4) enough of the Palestine population to stop their self-sabotage and actually, truly, want a peace that is not beholden to rogue states like Iran powered by Russia and declare their own human rights.
Until those elements exist not only in voice but in actual deed, there will be no peace.
So stop blaming the Democrats, Biden and even Netanyahu.
For good or I'll, people get the government they deserve. You want better? Make it happen and stop bitching.

You're right about that I was just thinking that apparently Israelis are getting the government they deserve as well. That's tough for me to say. I was almost one of them 40+ years ago when my life suddenly took a different direction. They need to find a way to get rid of Netanyahu, and that's going to be tough. It already has been tough. There are demonstrations daily all over the country. A major problem is, they don't have a constitution, unlike us. There is not that balance of power codified. Of course, the Palestinians haven't gotten anywhere near that far.
