Important Message from Ben Meiselas… IT HAPPENED!

Hey MeidasMighty. I’ll keep this short. A political earthquake just shook the United States last night. The epicenter was the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, but the reverberations and aftershocks can be felt across America. MAGA IS CRASHING!!

A special election was held in Pennsylvania’s Senate District 36, where a little-known Democrat, James Malone, defeated a well-funded and well-known Republican, Josh Parsons, in Lancaster County. This was a ruby red area that went +15 for Trump 5 months ago, and it was viewed as a very safe seat for Republicans. Democrat James Malone ran against Trump, DOGE, and Musk and pulled off a major upset. The last time a Democrat won this seat was in 1889!

Also in Pennsylvania, another Democratic candidate, Dan Goughnour, won a special election in House District 35 (12 miles southeast of Pittsburgh), breaking the 101-101 deadlock in the Pennsylvania House and returning control to the Democrats.

This result in Pennsylvania is more evidence of what we have been reporting since Trump, Musk, and DOGE executed a hostile takeover of the federal government and destroyed the services people deserve and depend on. People hate Trump and Musk and MAGA. Trump voters are regretting their decisions.

People are fed up with Trump’s broken promises: prices are higher, there is no peace in Ukraine (Trump made things far worse), housing is not more affordable, and every day there is more chaos and another scandal — either it’s Trump threatening to invade Canada or Greenland, tariff debacles, or discussing war plans on an unsecured text thread with a reporter copied on it and with a text recipient in Moscow.

We now turn our attention to major elections on April 1.

Most notably, we turn to the Wisconsin Supreme Court race between the pro-democracy candidate Judge Susan Crawford and the MAGA DOGE candidate Brad Schimel. We have interviewed Judge Crawford multiple times.

We are also covering the special election in Florida on April 1 in Florida’s 6th Congressional District, where the Democratic candidate Josh Weil is out-raising the MAGA DOGE candidate Randy Fine by millions of dollars in a Trump +30 district.

Early voting is underway in Florida’s 6th, and the Democratic candidate is off to a strong start.

I interviewed Josh Weil this morning.

We are also covering the snap elections in Canada scheduled for April 28, where the Liberal Party under the leadership of Prime Minister Mark Carney is now soaring ahead in the polls against the MAGA-aligned Conservative Party led by Pierre Poilievre, who was just busted in another scandal trying to use the Conservative Premier of Alberta, Danielle Smith, to ask Trump to interfere with the Canadian elections.

This is just a small sample of what we are covering.

Of course, as you know, we are covering all the protests and rallies in the United States. We are also covering the anti-Putin protests across the world from Budapest, to Tbilisi, to Belgrade.

The totality of all these developments shows a massive movement and momentum growing against Trump and his axis of evil with Putin.

Yes, this is good news this morning. In a time when Trump and Musk want to take away our hope, watching them squirm and lose is certainly welcome. But let me be clear. Let’s not get complacent. This is the time when we double and triple our efforts. This is a time when we fight harder. We’ve gotten this far, and now we put our foot on the gas and usher in the summer of democracy.

The MeidasMighty must continue to set an example for how to fight. We put our heads down and work. I am more motivated than ever to build this media network bigger and stronger. I feel hope. We still have our joy even if they severely pissed us all off. It’s okay to feel fear and sadness. That’s inevitable. But let’s use this all as motivation to fight for freedom and to fight against the oligarchy.
