Is this an Amish area?? The Amish have been hard core Trump supporters. The borderline religous cult would never vote for a women......biggest puppy mill operators in Penn State........supported RKennedy Jr for health rep........lots of incest.......

Have the Amish finally...."seen the light?"

Seriously? If true, all my beliefs in the Amish way of life are way off base. I didn't think they voted at all. Where would they get their news & information? How can I look into this more, its taken me quite by surprise. The Lancaster area is so beautiful and we've vacationed there often spending lots of $$$, but you are telling me its hiding a big secret. More than one. I do my best not to support any Trump supporters and will change my ways if necessary. Thanks for your input.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court race between pro-democracy Judge Susan Crawford and MAGA loyalist Brad Schimel will be a defining moment. With MAGA’s grip weakening, this election may signal its implosion. A victory for Crawford would reaffirm democracy; a Schimel win cements authoritarian ambitions. The stakes are historic.

It is one of them. There isn’t a singular event that will happen and magically restore democracy. But putting the first Democrat in office since the 19th century is one dot on a red stain that can start turning the tide blue. The idea is that if it can happen in Lancaster, PA, it can happen, period. Also, the style of the network is a noisy one. One of the ways Repubs get the press (besides owning it!) is that they are freaking LOUD. It gets people’s attention. I looked tor the story in mainstream news and didn’t see it, so I very much appreciate the literal shoutout for a district where my nonbinary 20-yr-old is currently residing!

It’s these so called little (but not really small!)things that we keep saying are building blocks to gaining our freedoms back, of protecting our children( our future), of the start of defeating the attempt to control our rights under the Constitution.

KEEP IN MIND: billionaires may have made a few savy investments but how were they able to do that? On the backs of that companies workers to promote and package a product that was first envisioned by a who took an idea and made it into something of want or need.

They that person made arrangements to have samples made and others may then also improved that person’s idea. Then those people invested in selling that idea to manufactures who then offered that product to others who promoted it to buyers and suppliers alike. Then a company puts its product in the hands of someone who entices people to want it and gets the product on the market. Now there’s a big push by a large corporation to attain great profit but ONLY after the traveling thru a journey born by others …. Others whose imagination, physical development, skill in presentation, ability to make the world want to own the product, finally getting closer to making a profit - a profit sometimes that is manipulated to bigger and bigger profits by using the popularity and desire of that product to be able to raise prices…. And a billionare is born…. who then claims the glory and title of the whole process.

So the billionaire gets his money from chance and the labor of countless others…

Keep in mind it is not the billionaire WHO HAS THE POWER! It is we the people who worked on each step who made him/her rich!

We hold the power, we can fix this !!!

Hello: I am in Florida's 1st Congressional District, and I really wish the media would quit overlooking Gay Valimont's fight to win Matt Gaetz's former seat! I get that District 6 is important, but against all odds Gay has raised millions and we minority Democrats here in the 1st are fighting for the seat by canvassing, phone banking, etc. We have a very real shot given the historically low turnout for special elections! I have been fighting the good fight here in Northwest Florida since 2015, and am tired of getting short shrift not only from the media, but also from our own Florida Democratic Party. WE ARE HERE AND WE ARE FIGHTING!

Blue Femme,

Although Gay Valimont did not win last night she did earn 42% of the vote which in your area is extremely impressive. She came far too close that gap between republican voters and democrat voters. I hope all Dems hold their head up, not a win but a good job. I was thinking of you last night.

Blue Femme's avatar

Thank you, we can definitely hold our heads high! Proportionally, Gay did better than Josh Weil in District 6, given that District 6 went for Trump in 2024 by 30 points, and District 1 by 37 points. Both of them got 42% of the vote, yet who are they talking about today? District 6! We even had an entire county, Escambia, where Gay WON! Thank you again for thinking of us, Gay and her team ran an impressive campaign. I was glad to play my small part. :)
