I wanted to use this Substack post to remind you that despite the heinous and horrific things Trump is doing to our country and the world, his actions are coming from a place of weakness.

I believe Trump’s decision to fully destroy the East Wing of the White House was made as a result of him feeling humiliated by the No Kings protest.

Of course, he had discussed his unlawful ballroom since July and lied that he would pay for it all personally and that no damage would be done to the existing structure of the White House.

But I believe the decision to physically rip up the people’s house was made in a rage over the No Kings protests. It’s why we need the protests and resistance to get bigger. It makes him look smaller and more pathetic.

The latest polling is showing Trump’s approval plummeting to 37–40 percent, while Democrats are surging to a plus-nine lead over Republicans in a generic ballot for the midterms. Democrats are overwhelmingly favored by the American people on the question of who will make the country more prosperous. Trump’s approval with young people is a net negative 39 percent. Democrats have seen their approval surge among independent voters and within their own party, precisely because they are finally fighting back.

Americans have been looking for fighters. The country is looking for leaders to stand up against the regime and to exert all authority to stop Trump and his fascist takeover. We are seeing leaders hearing your message loud and clear. You have led the way.

It’s important that you know you are winning this fight, even if at times hope seems in short supply. This regime wants to demoralize you and make you give up. They are banking on people losing the will to resist.

I can assure you that every single day I will do all in my power to fight for you, to fight this regime, and to continue building the largest news network in the country and the world to promote democracy and to spread the values and principles of love, empathy, and freedom.

We hope you’ve been seeing our growth and finding our expanded coverage helpful during these uncertain times. We are all in this together, and this community means everything to us.
