I truly hope the Democrats do walk out on the state of the union speech! I’ve seen it floated to have the Epstein Survivor photos sitting in the chairs and I think that would be a very good message to the ugliness of this regime. None of them have any souls, dignity, respect, integrity!

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

They shouldn't even show up! They should place the photos of each survivor in their seats instead. I agree it would indeed send a clear message to this vile regime. It would totally humiliate the orange pedo!

Denise's avatar

It might be better either to have the Democrats stay and hold the pictures or invite the survivors to sit with them. I am pretty sure if the photos were left on seats, they would immediately be removed from sight.

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

That's true. I didn't think of that bit of them removing the photos on vacant seats. That's right up their alley to do that. Yeah, better to be seated with the photos in hand.

Sylvia Arrowood's avatar

I totally agree with you. Let the Democrats stay and hold the pictures.

io bonini's avatar

YES on all the above. And how about photo's of Alex Pretti, Renee Good, Kilmar Abrego All the people that we know of who were disappeared by Ice or died in one of their concentration camps, the picture of the royal over the body of the Young girl, the photo of trump with Epstein with the bone killer prince.

Susan Raquel's avatar

and the little boy with the bunny hat.

io bonini's avatar

yes good SR, and his father. And the woman they shot five times and lived, and Howard Lutnick and Musk....

Judy's avatar

You should be ashamed as a woman. Defending those pieces of shit in maga.

Alan Dyer's avatar

You are right you should be ashamed as aa woman that you agree with that is happening. We are talking about young girls who are promised a better future that never exists .Judy - the free world is laughing at the US because they can't even arrest a pedo president

Leslie Olsen's avatar

Comment about sleazy AG, right?

Jane's avatar

The Democrats need to be the ADULTS in the room. Let's NOT act like those pathetic losers. Be there for Democracy!

WJB Motown's avatar

Thats asking alot from Chuckles and Jeffries........proven not possible in the past

AkaClaire Briding's avatar

Stop. WE don't have the votes because people didn't vote and all the rest of the MAGA disinformation and ignorance. Dems are doing an amazing job with the little we gave them. They can't enforce laws that Republicans ignore. As in, they are lawless.

WJB Motown's avatar

Where were they for Mandani???? You cannot negotiate with fascists on ICE....defund them totally.

Lay up after lay up is missed.........just saying

The Blue wave is coming thank goodness......pray for new young vibrant progressive.......UNCOMPROMISED leadership.

Concerned Citizen's avatar

That’s probably very true when you’re absolutely right. I’m not saying Democrats should disappear altogether because we do need to be in their face to force them to back down. But it can be done with integrity. Respect, no. Because they have no respectful bones in their bodies.

Judy's avatar

Not backing down.

Diana's avatar

I like this idea. I also hope that none of the Democrats act out. A replay of the military's nonresponse to Hegseth's command performance speech would be epic.

Pat Robinson's avatar

how do we get that suggestion to the Democrats?

gmj's avatar

Concerned Citizen's avatar

And I was also thinking about when Lauren Boebert and MTG heckled , President Biden on his state of the union speech. But I think that would be lowering themselves to the level of those reprehensible repugnant’s

Joanne Gatsis's avatar

I often thought about them heckleing but you're right, that's beneath the Dems to play that game.

A Republican congressman is under fire for shouting "You lie" during Barack Obama's speech to Congress on healthcare reform. In an extraordinary breach of political protocol, Joe Wilson, a Republican representative for South Carolina, shouted at Obama as the president told the joint sitting that his plan for a universal healthcare system would not cover illegal immigrants. Obama looked in the direction of the shout, said "It's not true" and went on with his speech. 10-Sep-2009, The Guardian; https://tinyurl.com/r8ascnk7

Susan Raquel's avatar

I wish that John McCain was still around. I believe that he would have the ability to get the Congress on the side of humanity again.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

Agreed. As he did when he scolded an audience member for stating falsely Obama was foreign born (https://tinyurl.com/4zc8rtrw) and when he voted thumbs-down to prevent repeal of the ACA (https://tinyurl.com/mr3hdjne) and when he refused early release from the "Hanoi Hilton" after the VC had learned his father was a USN 4-Star Admiral (https://tinyurl.com/3a924s82). Compare: The Idiot In Chief draft dodger (bone spurs, if any, fill up his arse): "[McCain is a] war hero because he was captured," he said. "I like people that weren't captured." https://tinyurl.com/3kap57ay. 1 = Hero; 1 = Zero

Susan Raquel's avatar

More likely bone spurs in his brain.

I wondered if the Pubs wanted him to lose by pairing him up with that dingbat Palin.

Thor55's avatar

That would send a message for sure. In my 50 years of paying attention to politics I’ve never seen a more inept president and government

Judy's avatar

Maga are crooks

io bonini's avatar

Hello T55....Inept? I think not....project 2025 told us what they were going to do and they are doing those things. How about corrupt? How about instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt that they are bunglers..(which in part that's true) We say all these acts are being coordinated to actually destroy the US...I'm not being hyperbolic.

Most of these people have ties with the Russians. And Putin couldn't have dreamed he could get away with all of this. His money is well spent.

Michele Ward's avatar

When Hillary said all roads lead to Russia, she was correct.

io bonini's avatar

And yet there was no reciprocity for any of this when the Dems were in the majority....so disappointing...such failure.

Sara Riley's avatar

That would be powerful. My cousin is one of the faces everyone saw raise her hand this week. She’s been invited to the SOTU by RK and TM . They plan to be seen.

Congress We Object's avatar

Bless her heart! I wish Sascha Riley had been invited to be front and center!!!! I would love to see Trumps face the moment he realizes that he cannot walk away from any of this!!!

C Bowlby's avatar

Well I hope rump doesn't have to walk or stand too much and should keep his speech short!

His main theme is lying again and again-BOOORING!

May be a good place to arrest him and regime on camera!

Susan Raquel's avatar

His speeches are never short and always nonsensical. Best hope is that he poops his pants and everyone is sent away.

C Bowlby's avatar

I reccomend carrying some industrial-strength air freshener to be sprayed every 10 seconds during rump presence! Masks may be appropriate as well!

io bonini's avatar

Whoa Dude...what an f'ing great idea!!! It will never happen but wouldn't it be awesome. Picture this..Everyone is seated, both houses of Congress, Little Mikey Pinhead and the couch abuser are seated in their chairs behind the Orange urinal cakes chair, The Urinal cake takes to the podium. The camera pans to all the doors to the chamber as the capital police file in quietly and lock all the chamber doors behind them. Then they systematically, round up every single Republican in this administration arrest them for treason .Zip tie them and frog march them out the front chamber doors, where police vans are waiting. They are marched thru a gauntlet of the people they've abused.

Oh....what a wonderful day.

C Bowlby's avatar

What a wonderful dream!

Thanks!

Concerned Citizen's avatar

Oh please thank her! I know how hard it is for these survivors. Sending love her and all the others!

Porter's avatar

Personally, I think constant booing of this thin-skinned narcissist with occasional laughter thrown in when he says something totally ridiculous, like 'prices have come down' or 'the best (fill in the blank) ever!'

What gets under his skin is humiliation and the Dems should go all out on that.

Concerned Citizen's avatar

Yes he can’t stand to be laughed at or ridiculed. But we can’t also go as low as the rest of the regime !!

Susan Raquel's avatar

Reminds me when Bondi was going on and the congressman just sat back and laughed. That was the perfect response , IMO, to a toddler having a tantrum.

Concerned Citizen's avatar

Absolutely, they hate to be laughed at!

SeekingReason's avatar

Yes, we must get dirty and respond appropriately. The days of pretending we can talk them out of madness is over!

Concerned Citizen's avatar

Absolutely but we can also do it in a form of reverse psychology don’t you think? We don’t have to go down to their level, but we can play their game.

Geoff Bowers's avatar

You’re absolutely right, and it’s also a great spectacle for the weary to see and be encouraged! 👌👌👌

SeekingReason's avatar

Laughter is a perfect response for seditionist, rapist, felon

Penny Thibeaux's avatar

Brilliant, I pray they do exactly that.

Lies, pedophiles, criminals, grifting, no democrats should show up.

Not one

Bet Fat ugly Fetterman would

What a discrace.

I hope they see your suggestion and do the right thing

Timothy Richley's avatar

They should, but my guess is they will show up, and except for Fetterman, not applaud

Susan Raquel's avatar

Yes, I think that would be the best response. I do hope that the Dems have got together and made some plan of action to show unity.

Congress We Object's avatar

Maybe it would make a larger statement for them all to be carrying posterboard sized photos of the victims and as Trump starts talking they walk out leaving only the poster boards. It’s quiet but makes a big statement?

AkaClaire Briding's avatar

Follow Obama's lead. Be true leaders. Be gracious.

Lisa Gallahar's avatar

OMG, I love every single word you wrote.

Ricky's avatar

Great idea!

Renee Goodman's avatar

They shouldn’t even go, just like the GOP didn’t when Bondi lied to the DEMS about Epstein files!

WJB Motown's avatar

Chuckles and Jeffries will be at an AIPAC funding conference.......each sitting memeber will have to operate as an independent.

Afghan Veteran Voice's avatar

The U.S. government has not only tested the patience of its own people but has squandered every opportunity to uphold its commitments. Most tragically, it abandoned its 20-year Afghan allies to a merciless enemy. Today, we respectfully call on the American people, U.S. veterans, and senators to remember the Afghan veterans who stood shoulder to shoulder with your forces and to urgently seek solutions to protect them and secure their future. Their courage cannot—and must not—be forgotten.

I made sure I voted EARLY in North Carolina last Friday!

RW Taylor's avatar

Now we have to assure our perverse NC legislature doesn’t succeed in its efforts to subvert the election by tossing out votes or voters. Follow Denocracy Docket for latest info on court cases all the way to the partisan hack court formerly known as Supreme. NC has been a hotbed testing ground for GOP interference. They cannot win a free and fair election, they don’t have the numbers, so they have to cheat and change rules so YOU can’t have your vote count.

We owe a very special thank you to Marc Elias (Democracy Docket) and his law firm for their relentless efforts to save our democracy. Please donate.

Hello Bennnn, it’s Sunday all day long, how is your family? I hope well, Trying to Live and Survive In this America is truly hard, it is really sad that every minute second and hour of the damn day it’s “something” happening, if there is a word other than exhausted I will use it!! Thank you all for what you do!! FDT That’s All

kerk's avatar

Surviving in America is hard? Take a trip to Sierra Leone Africa where "colonizers" are still digging fresh water wells for the indigenous people there. Go to Iran where they're executing protestors by the thousands. Visit N. Korea and experience what a real authoritarian looks like. Quit your crying. We have it great!

Nancy Perez's avatar

Don't have to go to Iran to see protesters being killed, it's happening right here in the USA! Open your eyes!

kerk's avatar

How does your response change anything I said?

Susan Raquel's avatar

It is a matter of perception and what your expectations are.

Calling alarm for seeing the USA move toward the likes of those other countries is not crying, it is facing the truth of the matter.

Mike's avatar

What is really sad the orange regime is responsible for inciting/supporting the protesters in Iran. Scott Bessent admitted to this. The orange regime has blood on their hands do to Iran killing protesters.

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

“The United States stands firmly behind the Iranian people in their call for freedom and justice,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. “At the direction of President Trump, the Treasury Department is sanctioning key Iranian leaders involved in the brutal crackdown against the Iranian people. Treasury will use every tool to target those behind the regime’s tyrannical oppression of human rights.” https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/sb0364

The effects of US sanctions on Iran's economy are coming into greater focus after Tehran's crackdown on mass demonstrations. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has acknowledged the Trump administration engineered Iran's recent financial crisis, which led to mass protests across the country. “What we have done is created a dollar shortage in the country,” Mr Bessent told senators last week. “It came to a swift and, I would say, grand culmination in December when one of the largest banks in Iran went under. “There was a run on the bank. The central bank had to print money, the Iranian currency went into free fall, inflation exploded, and hence we have seen the Iranian people out on the street.” https://www.thenationalnews.com/news/us/2026/02/10/us-sanctions-an-overwhelmingly-strong-driver-for-iran-protests/

kerk's avatar

Nonsense. Quote the full dialog of this so called support.

Mike's avatar

Our government manipulated the dollar in Iran. Google it or watch it on YouTube. Have a nice day troll.

kerk's avatar

Thanks for failing to support your bullshit. Produce the quote or stop trolling me.

Mike's avatar

I told you where to find it. That is supporting it. I don't bow down to trolls.

Mary C. McCarthy's avatar

Why do we have towns with water that is full of nitrates? Why do we have a housing crisis? Why do we have children suffering from or dying from illnesses that had been eradicated? Why do we have a growing income disparity? Why do we have billionaires buying up farmland as the rate of farm bankruptcy rises? We have an extractive government that is aiming to please the wealthy

Kelvin Hobbs's avatar

Why? In Nov. 2024, 49.8% of U.S. voters empowered the effectuating forces of evil

kerk's avatar

Because we're not perfect. Yet, you still choose to live here instead of the other three countries I listed. Or pretty much anywhere else, correct? We choose to live here because for the majority of people, life is not that hard in America.

Virginia Allain's avatar

Life is going to get a lot harder for Americans the longer Trump flails about. We must evict him from office and all his appointees too.

kerk's avatar

Can you be more specific? Can you tell me why living here is worse than the three other countries I mentioned? This is my problem with the left. They just can't support their drama.

Dawn Cali's avatar

kerk,

Why do you assume people are "left?"

Americans deserve better.

Barbara's avatar

Until we lose it. Wake up, Kerk!!

Maryann Macpherson's avatar

All the countries you just mentioned is exactly where this REPUBLICAN led WHITE HOUSE is taking us, and IF YOU can’t see it you will never appreciate our ancestors who fought and died for us to be free🇺🇸

kerk's avatar

Are these the same ancestors who colonized, stole land, and brought us slavery? I honestly never know what direction folks are going these days. One day you hate the white patriarchy that built this great nation, and the next day they're defended. It's quite confusing.

Susan Raquel's avatar

Yes, white patriarchy built our great nation on the backs of immigrants of all colors, cultures and creeds.

kerk's avatar

To include other White people. In fact, mostly White people. All of the other immigrants (slave exception) chose to come here to work and be part of the greatest country ever. You know what else, they're still coming.

Kevin Smith's avatar

Ignorance is bliss…. You are a very happy person.

kerk's avatar

Are you saying that I'm ignorant because life isn't hard in America? That's downright laughable.

Judy's avatar

Yup, I know the feeling

Tam's avatar

Thanks MTN,, you've said it like it is. 🇬🇧 We appreciate that.

The GOP house of cards is falling due to Meidas Touch and independent media. Trump thought the Epstein files would just go away because he had his boot on the neck of the mass media. He didn't anticipate independent media networks controlled by regular folks, not oligarchs, keeping their foot on the gas and driving the narrative. Keep up the relentless pressure...it's working!

My biggest fear besides seeing Trump rig yet another election,is seeing nobody in the Democratic party stepping up with a party standing behind them. Yes I'm talking about a true candidate that will show that this party can take the White House with both houses back and return to a Constitutional Republic. The Democrats are doing the same old thing waiting for the Democratic convention before making a decision and I promise you can't wait that long...a candidate needs to chosen immediately, meaning now not later because...later might not even be allowed to happen.

Judy's avatar

We the people need to push to have Robert’s and his gang of rightwing fanatics out of the Supreme Court. We need that now. They caused this.

Go Montana Senator Corey Neumann and fellow legislators!

“ Last week, I decided enough is enough. Over the past week I have been off-line organizing my colleagues across the country to show up in Minnesota and say we will not stand for this. I was hoping to get 10 to 12 state senators and representatives to join us.... we are now *over 100 state senators and representatives from 26 states*, and we needed to close registration because the response was so high (to manage security). We will be bringing a message from our constituents - from red states, blue states, and our populations from every background - that we will not stand for this terror in our streets. Americans overwhelmingly support rule of law, but we DO NOT support masked, militarized federal agents terrorizing our communities and murdering innocent civilians with no accountability. Fascism wins when we let leaders divide and conquer. We stand in solidarity with our colleagues, and we will not back down.”
