IMPORTANT SUNDAY Message from Meidas Founder
By Ben Meiselas
Hello, Meidas Mighty. It’s Sunday.
As you know, this is my favorite post of the week, where we can reflect on the week that just took place. Let me grab my cup of coffee and let’s chat.
As a reminder, make sure to subscribe now to this Substack if you aren’t a paid subscriber yet.
Subscriptions to this Substack have been the biggest help to the growth of the MeidasTouch Network and have allowed us to get more views and engagement than CBS, Fox, ABC, NBC, or any other network.
This has been a challenging week. Personally, professionally, and as a country, it hasn’t been easy. But here we are on Sunday as a community standing strong. We are stronger than ever. In terms of performance as a network, we’ve exceeded all metrics for the past 14 months. More importantly, as a country, the resistance has grown stronger.
Trump’s invasion of Minnesota with 3,000 ICE and Border Patrol Gestapo and his threat to send in 1,500 active-duty paratroopers is meant to scare us and intimidate us. If his goal was to scare us into submission, he has failed. The resolve of Americans to resist Trump has grown. Trump’s support among independents has collapsed, and his MAGA base continues to defect. We are also seeing defections within the ranks of Trump’s MAGA podcasters.
The resistance against Trump is growing internationally as well. As Trump’s threats to Greenland and NATO have increased, European countries and others across the world are done appeasing him. European countries, along with Canada, have sent Special Forces into Greenland to protect against an American invasion. We also saw major free trade deals to counter Trump’s attacks on free trade. The European Union entered into a massive trade deal with the Mercosur countries in South America, bringing 700 million consumers into a free trade relationship. Prime Minister Carney of Canada wrapped up a trip to China where he and President Xi entered into a strategic $1 trillion trade agreement to bring Chinese EVs into Canada and make China a major purchaser of Canadian LNG and other products. The so-called Don-Roe doctrine has led to other countries forging major trade relationships that cut the United States out.
Finally, we’ve been expanding our coverage at the network. Congrats to Meidas host Katie Phang for her YouTube channel hitting 500k subscribers. We hope you’ve been enjoying the work of our DC Bureau on Capitol Hill and our work with Status Coup to get you on-the-ground footage of ICE and Border Patrol agents. This has been another week where the MeidasTouch Network beat Fox in a head-to-head digital matchup thanks to you.
Before I go, I want to thank you for your continued support. This network is not possible without you. The MeidasTouch Network has continued to expand in scope, scale, and size thanks to you. We have held major events in Edmonton with Charlie Angus in Meidas Canada, and we look forward to launching in new countries soon.
If you are able to become a paid subscriber, please become one now if you can to unlock our bonus features and help the MeidasTouch Network grow. We need to keep this momentum going.
Thanks for having a cup of coffee with me on this Sunday and hanging out. Thanks for everything.

Greetings from Minneapolis. I was proud of my city yesterday for welcoming J6 felon Jake Lang with water balloons, a super soaker (so refreshing on single-digit temperatures) and a barrage of silly string, driving him back to his hotel.
