Important Sunday Message from Meidas Founder
By Ben Meiselas
It’s Sunday. This is my favorite post of the week because we get to hang out together, reflect on the week, and have a cup of coffee—or whatever your beverage of choice may be.
Let me begin by thanking our subscribers. If you aren’t a subscriber, I hope you will decide to subscribe too. One of the most impactful ways to help the MeidasTouch Network is to subscribe to this Substack, since we’ve grown with no investors.
Trump is getting more desperate by the day. His approval is collapsing. He is the most unpopular president in history. As we predicted, he is accelerating his authoritarian tactics. The latest reports are that he is planning a military invasion of Illinois with active-duty armed forces and the National Guard.
Trump is too afraid to confront America’s actual enemies, like Russia. Instead, at press conferences, he holds photos of himself and Putin in the Oval Office that Putin sent him. Trump would rather invade blue states that don’t have a military or pick on marginalized communities instead of actually showing strength.
It’s hard to believe I am even writing about military invasions by the federal government against our own states, but that’s where we are as a country.
There is hope and good news to report. Protests are growing in Washington, D.C., and across the nation. Democrats are starting to fight back aggressively, like we saw with California Governor Newsom and as we’ve always seen with Senator Bernie Sanders. Despite Trump not getting a ceasefire in Ukraine, not getting security guarantees for Ukraine, and not getting a trilateral or bilateral meeting with Putin and Zelenskyy, Europe is stepping up to support Ukraine in material ways.
Finally, the MeidasTouch Network continues to make progress. We saw 2,000 people show up at our live event in Omaha yesterday, hosted by Adam Mockler and co-sponsored by MoveOn. We continue to report on topics like the protests and ICE raids that continue to be suppressed or ignored by corporate news. We continue to lead all corporate news in views. We are currently expanding internationally as well.
In dark times, I see lots of reasons for hope. I know we can’t take anything for granted. We need to keep building this movement and keep fearlessly standing up for the people. You make it all possible.
Have a great Sunday and rest up since we have a lot of fighting to do together. Remember to subscribe now to this Substack or gift those subscriptions to people you know.
Thanks for subscribing, and thanks for having a morning beverage with me.

Keep Epstein front and center y’all, let’s keep our eyes on the prize.
Thanks, Ben. I really value these little coffee breaks (as I drink my Rooibos/Redbush tea!). Stay safe - seeing John Bolton (about whom, I give not a fig), being a target of an FBI search is most worrying. Even if Trump pops his clogs next week, we have no guarantees that this political persecution will not continue.
