I feel a bit comforted to know that MTN is capturing a bigger audience than Fox or Rogan because I feel that more folks are looking for truth rather than entertainment and misinformation ....so the ratings to be feel good

Hate to tell you that's not even true. This whole article is written around YouTube views and ignores Spotify where the majority of Joe rogan's listeners are. This is fake news manipulated data

Well then they win YouTube views. Personally, I don't use the term "Fake News". For me, it's a phrase/term that I associate with Trump ЁЯдо, MAGA ЁЯдо and the Right Wing ЁЯдо.

Fake news or lying press was invented by Goebbels during Natzi ruled Germany. Goebbels once Hitler became PM took over the media and only offered state run information. The invention at the time .. the radio of which he gave a radio to every German household. Trump is a master at co-oping stories and bringing to reality. He started with moving the embassy to Jerusalem which started the MAGA faithful to believe he was the chosen one. Trump is Gobbles on steroids. Nothing is out of bounds when he only wants power. Empowered by the faithful, his next move will be to mark those that are not loyal.

I didn't know Fake News was invented by Goebbels. Not surprised. Seems everything about Trump's playbook is right from the Nazis. I'm SURE the media knows but yeah, basket of deplorables, emails, Biden misspeaks about garbage, is Kamala really Black is really more important.

There are any number of great documentaries about the Nazis, and without fail, each time I watch one, I am chilled to the bone about the parallels to modern America. "Hitler's Circle of Evil" is particularly good, as it focuses on the sycophants that surrounded him, including Goebbels.

Goebbels was actually extremely patient in his propaganda efforts. He ultimately found that the way to erode the German soul was to do a slow drip of hate against the Jews as opposed to demands from the government that citizens turn on their neighbors with boycotts and the like.

As someone mentioned above, once he got the idea to put a free radio in every German home, he was golden. The hate dripped out slowly between the music and radio plays, and eventually, it worked. The German people became primed to support Hitler's insane ideas, leading to the complete destruction of their country.

The parallels are chilling. I listened to Rachel Maddow's podcast on it.

"Fake news", aka propaganda, has been around a lot longer than the Nazis.

In no specific order: Julius Caesar, Hammurabi, Ramses the Great, Darius, Cleopatra, the list goes on.

Goebbels took notes, but he never invented fake news. He wasn't near that intelligent. He merely copied what he studied. ЁЯТЩ

You're missing the point, once again shouting "fake news" at info you don't like or understand. The point of this story is that the rise of MTN has been meteoric, as opposed to Rogan, who has grown for over 25 years.

Joe Rogan was already an established comedian in 2000 (when he got his first comedy special), so his rise to his current popularity has been slow and steady. His podcast launched in 2009, while Meidas Touch launched on YouTube, podcasts, and the web in 2020. In four short years, the Meidas Touch YouTube channel has received over four billion views.

Using your own point, the fact that MTN has beat out the extremely popular Rogan on YouTube shows just how fast the network is growing.

It's BECAUSE Rogan has the number one podcast that these numbers are significant. Rogan has been around since the'90s, while Meidas Touch was born four years ago. That's what makes this YouTube success so startling.

Let's see where they both are in five more years.

Thank you for your comment. It is such a good example of how people just pick up on what they actually want to hear - and don't bother to look into things any further. Which is one of the MT's big complaints. Try reading the article again.
