I live in red, rural America. Sometimes you can get fooled by your rural neighbors. My neighbor, my age, a Vietnam Vet is very prejudiced in my opinion, i.e., he has nothing good to say about anyone that isn't white.
Although I know his son, same age as mine, is not a Trump fan I figured that my 78 year old neighbor was a Trump fan. Well, guess what, he is not.
He came by the other day to visit and we talked about 2 hours. Somehow the conversation got onto Trump. I thought, here we go! Well, I'll be, he said that he went to town to have breakfast with some of his buddies and they were talking about how great Trump is, blah,blah,blah. Well, my neighbor told me that he set them straight. He told them Trump's plans about Vets, SS, etc. He said that they said that they had never heard any of that before.
What it amounts to is getting the message out to people about what they really care about.

What you predict and I expect will be happening deserves a General Strike, Tax Revolt, Massive Boycott-something that does not require us to sit and wait for the court cases. Seems that Musk is even making negative headlines in California this week. He and one other TX company run the world’s largest battery storage facility in Moss Landing on the Central Coast. Jenny Denson had a wonderful analysis of the unmatched figures in Nevada - some how some way the demographics of the voter trends of the "Other Canidates" - Senator Representative- party trends did not match. The figures were skewed and did not necessarily match the same party figures when directly applied. For instance: if 47% of the trend was the overall achievement of the Democrat candidates and 50.2% was Republican- how could The Presidential candidate get 57.4% of the vote? to the Democratics's 42.3%. ? Over production was used.

Raids are already taking place in Bakersfield. When raids take place that is not targeting criminals. Deporting criminals also has to be carefully thought out. If you deport a criminal that has been found guilty of criminal activity without serving a sentence. The accepting country has no obligation to incarcerate that individual. That criminal element is most likely to immediately illegally return and has more means to do so and better means of hiding and living in an underground criminal society within the U.S.. If the U.S. is serious about deporting Criminals an agreement with Mexico could be reached. where the U.S. could pay for the construction of a prison for deported Mexican criminals. Mexico would be responsible for the maintenance with the U.S. contribution towards the maintenance. Mexico doesn't want those criminals in it's country but this would help alleviate the issue of criminal elements. Why pay for this? Once again the receiving country does not have any responsibility to otherwise incarcerate someone convicted in another country.

Harris' efforts to distinguish herself from Biden's record was a mistake in my opinion; instead, she should have educated people about all the good things the Biden/Harris administration did for them.

I know there are illegal documents that undocumented workers can present to employers to waive that law so employers can say, "Well, it looked legal to me."
There has to be a way to tighten the restrictions and paperwork so people do not claim immigrants are illegally stealing their jobs. If justice and the system of safguarding our workers doesn't work now and employers can still make huge profits with cheap labor etc. do you wonder why people are disillusioned with our immigration system.
When employers find they can no longer hire undocumented immigrants as easily as they were, employers will insist on new immigration policies to have a work force. GOP will have to address this. Trump will probably break the laws to allow his oligarchs, dark money people to be exempt but ....eventually .....hopefully...
There is a system for employers (e-verify.gov) for enrolled employers to verify information provided by prospective employees on employment eligibility. In the federal government we had to use it, as did government contractors. I see now it can be used by individuals to clarify their status. Look it up. Enforcement on employers is the key.

Even the US Supreme Court, not exactly a confidence inspiring institution these days, upheld the ban because our national security out weighs the right to use a social media app!
